by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Couldn't Be At Gamescom 2014 Or The EA Press Conference? We Have You Covered With The Live Stream Below Just like Microsoft's press event, EA had their event at a non-gamer time for those not living in Europe or night owls; 1 a.m. here on the west coast of North America. Just like the Microsoft event it should be no surprise that most of us gamers may have slept through or played through the huge event that EA put on at Gamescom in their booth. Luckily, like yesterday, we were able to get the event's full stream for all of us who were late to the game to catch up. Or at least see everything they had to offer outside of the trailers making the rounds already. Read More...

Viscera Cleanup Detail Finally Lets Us Play The Most Thankless Job
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Viscera Cleanup Detail is now up on Steam. Time to clean up those messes made by the hero… I swear sometimes you little devs never cease to amaze me and Viscera Cleanup Detail is another to add to the pile. According to the Steam website Viscera Cleanup Detail is available to purchase for $7.99 right now. It has been in alpha and beta for some time from what I have found out after hearing about the game; something I am still a bit shocked on. Wait, you haven't heard about Viscera Cleanup Detail yet? Tried Not To Buy Into The Goat Simulator Craze…But Here's The Launch Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of March 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Goat Simulator from Coffee Stain Studios is set to launch on April 1st. Here's the launch trailer. Sometimes when I think I have gamers figured out something like Goat Simulator comes along and makes me question everyone's priorities in the world. I heard about this game back during its early inception and could have sworn it was just some joke being played by someone modding another game. Then the trailers began hitting the internet and everyone and their sister's uncle's cousin's former roommate was talking about it. Then I looked deeper and still could swear this is some kind of joke given the high demand that all of us gamers place on other studios to take everything serious in the industry. Read More...

Sim City's Downfall
by Greg Tatterfield [ Friday, 8th of March 2013 - 06:50 PM ]
EA released their new Sim City game this week to a huge fan outcry. Many gamers are dissatisfied with the always-online DRM and the poor servers. What makes matters worse is that EA is only allowing people who bought a physical copy of a game to request a refund. Unfortunately gamers who bought a digital copy of the game are out of luck. The outcry and the refund controversy have gotten so widespread that Amazon has removed Sim City from their online store. At the time of writing the game has 1,072 one star reviews on Amazon. Review: Ship Simulator Extremes
by Fred Buell [ Monday, 2nd of July 2012 - 11:15 PM ]
I started playing Ship Simulator Extremes with an open mind. Partly because I wasn't sure if this was going the pure Sim route with me only free riding a boat or the MS Flight route with a campaign and missions you can take. It took the latter with a campaign and various scenarios you can choose from the menu, alas the game is looking up, I think. I was wrong. So wrong. Read More...

10 Things You Ought To Know: The Sims Social
by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 31st of October 2011 - 10:04 PM ]
Love 'em or hate 'em, Facebook games are a part of today's general gaming landscape. They come in many shapes and sizes – requiring various amounts of your time and (the developers hope) money. It's hard to give a hard and fast review on Facebook games, which like any other Massively Multiplayer Online game, it is constantly evolving. In lieu of a review, I decided to pull out my 10 Things You Ought to Know-style article and take a look at The Sims Social. You’re going to ask a lot of your friends. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of April 2010 - 05:10 PM ]
We all knew it was only a matter of time - with that time being yesterday (4/27/10) - before we could begin playing Hostel Sims 3 on our consoles. A game that we all know is the most fun when you are torturing these poor defenseless people or forcing them into really messed up relationships just in hopes of seeing two chicks hop into bed with each other. Don't deny it. You've tried and most likely succeeded in doing so. Read More...

4Chan Eroge Title Katawa Shoujo Releases Demo
by Michael Camacho [ Sunday, 3rd of May 2009 - 10:04 PM ]
A group of 4Chan /a/ regulars have decided to step away from posting memes and get into Eroge/Hentai game creation. It began in 2007 when an anonymous posting of Doujin work by Raita focusing on character designs for a dating sim revolving around Crippled characters. The lightbulb went off and the small group banded together to bring that idea to reality. Once a dedicated team was fully assembled, they created Four Leaf Studios and began their work. Here is the official description of the game: Katawa Shoujo is a bishoujo-style visual novel set in the fictional Yamaku High School for disabled children, located somewhere in modern Japan.
