Review: Forza Horizon 2
by Greg Tatterfield [ Thursday, 25th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
We sit down and play Microsoft's newest entry in their long running racing series Forza Horizon 2. Is it worth talking it out for a cruise? Hated Forza Horizon 2 features a huge open world that's larger than the original. The large expansive open world isn't the problem. The problem lies with the fast travel system. Like the first game fast traveling to the festival is free but fast traveling to any of the hubs across the map will cost you over 9,000 precious credits that are used to upgrade and purchase new cars. This means driving everywhere or burn through your credits by fast traveling. Read More...

Review: Destiny
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Destiny. Does the game live up to the hype or is it an MMO that can be missed? Now that we've had time to sit down and ingest Destiny we should be able to critique the overall game for you; and now we have. Destiny was super hyped up and shown off at every convention since it was first unveiled and promised so much to the fans of the developer (Bungie) and publisher (Activision). Both companies have a wealth of experience under their belts so it should be rather simple to figure out how well their plan for Destiny panned out. If you are one of the few who have not already flocked out to pick up Destiny or purchased it on day one, here is our video review to help with your decision. Read More...

Review: The Walking Dead Season 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Season 2 has come to a close and it is time to let you all know what I thought about the latest episode and the whole season That is a wrap on season two of The Walking Dead from Telltale. Episode five has been released and there is No Going Back now. See what I did there? I was lucky enough to be able to sit down and play through the final episode and give it the old gamer review. I'll try to keep things as spoiler free as possible but in the mix I will warn that there are a few spoilers I feel I had to touch upon as they were either things I loved or hated about the conclusion here. Also, I am trying something new for this review. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of August 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming We can call it a wrap on this week of gaming now can't we? No we can all move on to play all of those games that we've been putting off until the weekend now and dig right in. That does not mean that we didn't have a whole lot to cover in the world of gaming news. There was quite a bit as well as a few reviews for games coming out next week here. That would be both Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux that I am talking about here. Read More...

Review: Metro: Last Light Redux
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Metro: Last Light Redux. It's only been a Year Since It First Released so did it need the upgrade treatment? Here we go again to enter the Metro for the second time with Metro: Last Light Redux. The fully upgraded version of Metro: Last Light that only hit shelves a little over a year ago. I personally enjoyed the hell out of the game the first go around so it made me wonder if an 'HD Upgrade' was truly needed. I guess I'll get to answer if the latest PS4, XB1, and PC release of the game is worth the price of admission of just another cash grab for fans of the franchise or new players who have yet to experience the fun. Review: Metro 2033 Redux
by Julia Schoebel [ Wednesday, 20th of August 2014 - 07:01 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Metro 2033 Redux. It's been over four years since it first released so how well does it upgrade? When we think of HD re-masters of games we generally look at them as being quick cash grabs instead of allowing the developers to truly show off their vision of the game they originally built. Metro 2033 Redux is another title in the mix that may not have seen the full light due to limitations on hardware on both ends of the spectrum. Well 4A Games was given the chance to give it the full polish and I was able to play through Metro 2033 the way I think they wanted to build the game the first time around. Read More...

This Week In Gaming 8/4/14 — 8/8/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of August 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming It sure feels like this week has been one big tease for gaming news. Yes there were a few new items out there and such but it really felt like there was a lot "here's something but you have to wait for the full thing still." I hate teases. Especially when they lead to a whole lot of nothing and waiting for weeks to pass by. Nothing worse for us in the gaming world is there? Read More...

Review: Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty. It's been years in the remaking so let's see how the game holds up after all of this time I remember almost 17 years ago when Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee first arrived on my PS1. I marveled at the game's graphics and had a blast playing through the game from start to finish. Now we have the opportunity to play through once again in Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty on the PS4 and other platforms to come. Is it worth the remake or should Just Add Water and Oddworld Inhabitants just left alone and not made Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty? Read More...

Review: The Walking Dead: Season 2 — In Harm's Way
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of May 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Walking Dead Season 2 - In Harm's Way. It's The Third Episode. Does It Keep The Steamroller Of A Franchise Rolling? Here we go with the hump section of The Walking Dead: Season 2. We've hit the midsection of this season for the game and it should be 'all downhill' from here. Pun intended and hopeful. There is a lot riding on the season as well as the franchise here but has it fully delivered? Read More...

Review: Star Pod
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Tuesday, 22nd of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Star Pod a challenging HTML5 Game from Playdor. Star Pod is a game by Playdor. It is a simple, yet challenging HTML5 game made in Construct 2 whose first ten levels have been released. The game is only available in a pre-release version. From what I have gathered you control a small UFO that must navigate the 2D levels collecting little gold rings. Starting from one platform and finishing on another. As with any game the first few levels are pretty easy. Read More...

Review: The Wolf Among Us - Episode Three
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Wolf Among Us - Episode Three. It's been a while since we picked up with Bigby and crew so let's see if the wait was worth it. It looks like everything is back on track for The Wolf Among Us in terms of release windows. No waiting around for a few months to get the new episode as we got episode three in quite a timely manner. The only question is, does A Crooked Mile expand on the game's world and mechanics or just let us down again? Sit right back and I'll tell you the tale of my experience with The Wolf Among Us episode three. Read More...

This Week In Gaming 3/24/14 — 3/28/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of March 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming. This felt like the most bi-polar week in gaming news in a long while. It all started out rather slow and then we were flooded with all kinds of new stuff to look forward to. The biggest bit of gaming news being with Batman: Arkham Knight's new character and gameplay mechanics; not to mention the huge purchase of Oculus by Facebook. Cyber stalking to a whole new level if things go as was speculated earlier this week. All kinds of crazy stuff here in the gaming world. Read More...

Review — Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of March 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Is it just an expensive demo or a real fun game? Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has been labeled as one large demo and prologue to The Phantom Pain. In fact there have been gameplay sessions of the game that show it can be completed in a little over seven minutes. The game is also not the same price as a normal retail title but it is still $30 but is it worth the price of admission to Metal Gear Solid V? Let's dig in and see if you should drop the cash and time. Read More...

Review: Race The Sun
by Kenton Winkfield [ Thursday, 13th of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
We sit down and review Race The Sun from Flippfly on Steam. What's more fun than a futile high speed chase to keep yourself from dying? The gentlemen at Flippfly have given us just that with Race The Sun, a simple yet difficult racing game where you must avoid walls, spires, fish, blocks, and even shadows to delay your imminent death. Flippfly is an indie game studio that was started by two brothers in 2012. Their experience in both web design and video game programming has led them to create amazing works of video gaming art that haven't been seen before. Read More...

Review: The Walking Dead: Season 2 — A House Divided
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of March 2014 - 05:02 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Walking Dead Season 2 - A House Divided. It's The Second Episode. Does It Keep The Steamroller Of A Franchise Rolling? The short wait is over and it is time to continue where Episode One left our little group of survivors in the middle of the end of times. There is a lot going on this time around as the 'villain' of the season has been presented and taken a leading role. Here we go with a hopefully spoiler free review of this episode. Should you be downloading and playing through it right now even with all of the other great titles out? Read More...
