Petroglyph Games has opened its doors to everyone willing to participate in the new free-to-play Multiplayer Online Battle Arena game Rise Of Immortals. In fact, it's so open, you just need to head over to their site and sign up! This title has been in beta for a couple of months now, and finally ready for the public to get some hands on time with it. Okay, that's it. If I have to watch one more cinematic teaser for Star Wars: The Old Republic, I'm gonna scream. Honestly, these things are so awesome, it's almost like a feature length film. Well that was quick! Rift, the latest MMO by Trion Worlds and SyFy channel has been out for less than a month and already we are getting a major content release from them. On March 30th, Alsbeth began her reign of terror on Telara, and it ain't pretty. The latest content release actually is a multi-tier event.  The first phase of the event is going on right now, and the second event begins April 9th.  After that we will see the next phase and the opening of the newest Raid Zone: River of Souls at the end. So I saw something this week that not very many people get to see these days. I saw the future. A specific future if you really want to get technical. I saw the future of EVE Online and it looks amazing. Check out the video below! You probably are sitting there with your mouth open, thinking to yourself "what the hell did I just watch?" Armor progression is probably one of the most important factors in MMO's to date. It establishes your identity, your rank, your skill and possibly your luck, all just because your robe of +10 to "sexterity" is harder to get than anyone else. Star Wars: The Old Republic has given us a quick look into armor progression of the Jedi Knight and all I can say is "the force is strong with this one." With promises of new features and a slew of content after launch, RoI could be a powerhouse in the Battle Arena. Rise Of Immortals is a Defense Of The Ancient (DotA)/Massively Online Battle Arena (MOBA) style game. This past weekend gave us the 6th beta test for Rift, the latest MMO title by Trion games. Probably one of the more successful stress tests I've seen so far. Now not even 24 hours after the beta closed we get news that an open beta will be available starting next week! Not only that, there is loot to be had for those brave enough to delve deep into the dungeons! Well this was unexpected and really early this year. Blizzard announced Blizzcon 2011 with the least amount of details, just a date, time and place. Honestly this is the earliest Blizzard has ever announced this event, hell were still getting over the last one that was less than four months ago.Here's what we know. With less than 24 hours until the latest Rift Beta ends, Trion Worlds releases its latest three minute cinematic trailer and it looks great. If you haven't heard about Rift yet this is the latest MMO from Trion Worlds coming out March 1st 2011. Rift pits the religion vs. technology in an epic war between two factions, the Guardians and the Defiants. Now we've seen that formula more than once but the kicker here is while you're busy fighting each other another war wages on from the skies as Rifts randomly open around the world and dump big baddies all over the ground to make your life miserable. Probably the coolest thing I saw this week was a video presentation for World of Starcraft! So the beta for DCUO came and went. We were lucky enough to be part of that whole experience. Well now the full version of DC Universe Online is ready for you to pick up or download depending on your preferred platform to play. To celebrate that fact, as is usual, there is a new trailer to show off for the game and to help promote it. There is nothing all that new in the clip as it mostly comprises of a mashing together of already seen footage.
