Capcom is pushing hard for the whole Monster Hunter franchise to take off, so what do they do, turn it into a console MMO. Capcom has announced Monster Hunter Frontier Online for the XBox 360 in Japan. A first for the Monster Hunter Franchise, which has never been on the XBox platform before. $15 a month to play a game online you don't even play by yourself? Well, the beta test application site for Final Fantasy XIV has opened up, and while the beta may only be for the PC, it is a great chance for those interested to poke around in what could be a fantastic MMO experience. For the curious, the requirements are: Be at least 18 years of age Possess a Square Enix ID account (Register for a Square Enix ID account here, if you don't have one already) Possess an internet connection Be capable of downloading large amounts of data Be capable of submitting bug reports in either Japanese, English, French, or German Like any other beta test, there will be several waves and opportunities to enter the beta so don't be discouraged if you don't make it in initially. It still got you to look in here to check out the shots of the creatures that you will be slaying in the game. With the new Lord of the Rings Online expansion, Siege of Mirkwood, set to release in less than two months, more information about some of the the enhancements have trickled out in the form of developer diaries. In one of the recent developer diaries, the LOTRO team discussed the revamped mount system set to release in this next expansion. Tuesday Turbine announced the release date and pricing for the second expansion for Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood.
