Getting Your Fight On In Knights Contract
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of February 2011 - 09:23 PM ]
Maybe it is just me, but I am looking forward to Knights Contract. It doesn't seem to be picking up much attention from any one at all but every time I see something new I get even more interested in what is going on with this game. Maybe it is the rehashing of old IPs that is downing out Knights Contract. Have we all given into the nostalgia bull shit so much that we are not willing to give a second glance to an original IP? Well if you are not pining over the latest Marvel Vs. Read More...

New Inversion Screens Show How To Command Gravity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of February 2011 - 05:12 PM ]
So here is a title that has seemed to fall through the cracks of my press releases. The game is called Inversion and it is being developed by Saber Interactive and Namco. Maybe because it was suppose to come out sometime last year and then got pushed under a rug. Maybe it is because things have been silent since GamesCom 2010 and a 2011 delay announced. I don't know, but it is now slated to hit selves February 7th 2012 and from what is being shown right now, the game has snagged a bit of my attention. Here's the story for those not in the know like I was: You take on the role of a young father and husband, Davis Russel, who finds himself thrust into war when his peaceful city is invaded by an unknown enemy. Review: Splatterhouse
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of December 2010 - 12:20 AM ]
After almost two decades since the last Splatterhouse game released on the Sega Genesis, we finally received a reboot of sorts. Well, it's more along the lines of a retelling - backed by the power of the new technology we only dreamt of way back then. No longer stuck in the basics of side scrolling, we now get to take Rick on a fully 3D roaming adventure. Don't fret though; there are plenty of throwbacks to the original for fans of the franchise to cherish. The story goes as thus: Rick and his girlfriend, Jen, are heading to the creepy mansion of Dr. Read More...

Pigsy's Perfect 10 Is Not A Porn As It Sounds
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of November 2010 - 06:22 PM ]
Maybe it is just me, but the title of the upcoming DLC for Enslaved: Odyssey To The West really sounds like a porn title. If you have played the game and run into the titular character for this DLC it's even more likely that you can make that jump in logic. I mean the character Pigsy is, well, a pig when it comes to the female populace. To go further into the thought on the DLC, the premise from the sounds of it is that Pigsy is tired of being lonely and wants to build his perfect fembot. At least this is the sum up from the press release and trailer. Read More...

Splatterhouse's Rick Is More Bad Ass Than Wolverine
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of October 2010 - 10:33 PM ]
If you don't believe the title, look at the new set of visuals for Splatterhouse. These screen shots show off a bit on how the "Health" meter of Splatterhouse will be visually shown on Rick. As he gets hurt the character model changes as appropriate. Not to major of new news there but it is something that has been seen this up close and personal. I mean these lacerations and complete loss of flesh look rather realistic, at least for the game's style. So how does this make Rick more bad ass? Read More...

Review: Enslaved: Odyssey To The West
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of October 2010 - 10:22 PM ]
It is the distant future and just as is assumed in most post-apocalyptic stories, the machines have all but stamped out most of humanity. Those humans still wandering the devastated, in this case, America either spend their time hiding from the still active killing machines or slavers rounding them all up. Two of these survivors being a brilliant technophile nicknamed Trip and "Me Smash" hulk of a man nick named Monkey. Both of whom have been captured and shipped out to the evil Pyramid to be executed or added into the slave population. Read More...

Splatterhouse Goes All Retro Style... In A Good Way
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 21st of August 2010 - 05:48 PM ]
If I have not dropped enough hints yet, let it be explicitly known that I am not a big fan of the "retro" game look in modern times. I see it as a way for companies to milk gamers who don't have a better head on their shoulders so they can pretend to be gaming back when they first started. Gamers put money in the companies' pocket so they may play a game they've very likely played a billion times already. *cough* Golden Eye *cough* So when I heard that the most recent Splatterhouse trailer coming out of Gamescom showed off the retro look of the title, I was a bit pissed and extremely concerned. Thankfully, this lasted only for a few moments before watching the videos and new screen captures below. Read More...

Well that would be October 5th in North America. Yep, just weeks before Namco's Splatterhouse hits the shelves making them all bloody we will be getting Enslaved: Odyssey To The West. At least that is what Namco just told the world. How to celebrate this announcement? Oh, well how about some new screen shots for the game? I just happen to have a few here for you. You will be 'Enslaved'
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 30th of September 2009 - 04:11 PM ]
So back in August, Namco Bandai and Heavenly Sword developer Ninja Theory announced at Gamecom that they would be creating a partnership together. They also announced they would be developing a "blockbuster title with strong pan-Western sensibilities" for PS3 and XBox 360. Well now we have details on that very title. The title 'Enslaved' is loosley based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. Players take on the role of Monkey and Trip and travel through post-apocalyptic America. Read More...

What Do You Fight For?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of April 2009 - 06:33 PM ]
Tekken 6 XBox 360 Title Preview: Spring 2009 Trailer Where did all the fighting go in this fighting game? That was something I though after watching the latest trailer for the console version of Tekken 6. I mean watch the trailer and see. There looks to be more going on than just fighting in this fighting game. People with guns, fat guys moving faster than they really should be able too, you get the picture. What this does look like though is that there is the chance there will be more story going on in the game outside of the characters are just getting down and dirty for their own greedy needs.
