The Kickstarter campaign for Eminence: Xander's Tales is up and running with the game being much more than just Triple Triad It's been a couple months since we first spoke on Eminence: Xander's Tales. This is that Triple Triad mobile title coming from Aeterna Studios and by mobile I'm talking iOS with Android down the line. The creators of Night Trap are looking to bring us all the game for a new generation via Kickstarter campaign Some of you may not be old enough to remember Night Trap or the Sega CD for that matter. Hells, I wasn't even enough years into my life cycle at the time to play Night Trap by the ESRB standards now when I first dove into the game back in 1992. I guess that is a point in the corner for the game helping spawn the ratings board due to the fact that back then "all video games were for kids." A new bit of gameplay for The Vanishing of Ethan Carter has been released showing off some of the core mechanics and story of the game When I first heard about The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter I kind of let it fall a bit to the side of the metaphoric video game road. I didn't disregard the game completely but with the little description I was given it just wasn't something that caught my eye and sucked me in. It's been only nine years since Kingdom Hearts II was released and I remember losing my brain when I saw how spectacular those looked back then. Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is getting a free batch of DLC today with the Tactical Taco Party Pack Good news for those who have picked up Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare or another reason to pick up the game for those who have been holding out. Today (7/1/14) there is a new batch of DLC being released for the game called the Tactical Taco Party Pack and it is completely free to download. HEXO+, a Kickstarted camera accessory, has been funded and it looks like it is making that Razer April Fools' joke happen If you remember back in April, Razer made a joke about a drone that would film all of your life events and even make you feel like you were in a video game. That was the joke but it looks like with the HEXO+ Kickstarter almost reaching its last stretch goal with 15 days to go, we are getting just that device. While the HEXO+ wasn't originally designed for that purpose the first two stretch goals would allow for just that; a live video playback on your phone and the ability to set up specific angles. Announced and looking for funding at that. Funding through Kickstarter to go one further and to add yet another fragmented sentence to the list here as we bring you the updated news from West Games. Eminence: Xander's Tales is a new MMORPG/TCG is coming that will bring back the fun of Triple Triad and then some If there is one thing I loved about Final Fantasy 8 it was Triple Triad and it looks like it is making a comeback with Eminence: Xander's Tales. Yep, the best feature of one game is becoming the sole mechanic behind another game, at least in a close enough way that there shouldn't be any legal battles; hopefully. It's not like Aeterna Studios is using any of the assets here, just some of the basic mechanics to fuel the gameplay along to hopefully give us a story as it is also slated as a MMORPG. Harmonix has kicked off a Kickstarter project to try and bring Amplitude to the PS3 and PS4 due to fan request. Nostalgia is a powerful thing and motivator in our world. A new 'features' trailer for Mario Kart 8 shows off levels, characters, and tracks. I'll be honest that I had no clue that we were up to Mario Kart 8 now. I am also not the biggest Nintendo gamer as of the last few years so it is easy to see how that may have fallen through the crack of my attention. None the less Mario Kart 8 is coming out later this month (May) and there is a new trailer showing off all of the cool new stuff that is going to be in the game. By now most of us have enjoyed Batman: Arkham Origins and maybe some of the DLC challenge maps.
