Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Another week of video games in the bag and it was a huge one that was un expected indeed. I could have sworn it would have been a silent week given the proximity of E3, but it looks like they had to get all of the Far Cry 5 news out there to get us all hyped up for the video games still to come in the next few weeks. That and keep our minds off the delay of Red Dead Redemption 2 a bit and then be excited to see that LawBreakers is heading to the PS4 as well now. Guardians Of The Galaxy The second episode of Guardians Of The Galaxy has been given a date and it looks like we are getting more of the Guardians Of The Galaxy's backstory It looks like things may be going back to back for those Telltale Games titles now as it looks like we have a release date for the second episode of Guardians Of The Galaxy. As it stands, we will be seeing this new episode, title Under Pressure, on June 6th for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, iOS, and Android devices. Final Fantasy XV The May update for Final Fantasy XV is here and adds in a few new items, but also a survey for us to dictate future Final Fantasy XV updates & content The most recent update for Final Fantasy XV is here and it adds a few new items into the mix for those who are still plugging through it all. Or going through any of the other major content updates and DLC that Square Enix has given us so far. Red Dead Redemption 2 It looks like Red Dead Redemption 2 will now release in 2018 but we do have some new Red Dead Redemption 2 screenshots to gaze at We all hate delays but sometimes it is for the better and hopefully that will be the case here for Red Dead Redemption 2 as it has now been hit with a delay. Even though there wasn't a release date specifically set for the game, Rockstar Games did state that they were aiming to get the game out on the PS4 and Xbox One by this Fall. Now the wait will be a little bit longer as Red Dead Redemption 2 will not be coming to us until sometime in Spring of 2018. Read More...

I personally thought that it was going to be another of the slow weeks given the proximity of the big E3 just about to hit us but then all of those developers and publishers opted to hit us with some really great stuff. I'm still reeling in the fact that South Park: The Fractured But Whole has an official release date and that we will be seeing the next Assassin's Creed title before the end of the fiscal year. Destiny 2 The big gameplay reveal for Destiny 2 has just gone down and we all learned a whole lot more for Destiny 2 than many thought we would by now Yesterday was a huge day as we all finally got to see Destiny 2 live and in action. That is at least if you had a chance to tune into the live stream event that Bungie and Activision held that showed off way more than just a trailer or pre-rendered footage for the game. Pretty much what needed to happen here for Destiny 2 in all ways and it did nothing but impress. The Surge We sit down and review The Surge. It's almost like a Sci-Fi version of Dark Souls with other risks involved. Here's our review of The Surge Just as its name, The Surge popped into our lives and then was out for us to play in short order. That's not to say that Deck 13 didn't put in the effort to make it a great game, but we first caught wind of it not too long ago and now here we are giving it a review. Of course, Focus Home Interactive does have a lot of titles in the pipe currently and during the lead up to The Surge finally being released so maybe that is why we had what felt like a rush from announce to release. Marvel Super Heroes 2 It has been announced that LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is coming and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 will be bringing all of the fun & more that we know and love Hopefully you wanted more Marvel and LEGO fun as it has been announced that LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is on its way to us and as soon as November 14th for those who want to pick it up on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Call Of Duty We have gameplay for the Call Of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles to show how all these classic Call Of Duty maps have been updated It's been a pretty quiet turnaround from announcement to release for Call Of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles as it hits the PS4 here on Tuesday the 16th here. We've had a quick overview of what will be coming with the game and just what Treyarch has done to bring it to us but most of it hasn't shown off how all of these maps have been re-mastered for the bundle here. Granted it's only been a week since we heard about it all, but now we get to see just how those old Call Of Duty maps have been updated to give us a new Zombies experience if we've missed it or out over the last few years. The Surge With The Surge just about to launch we get a new cinematic trailer for The Surge as well as a look at one of the boss fights in the game We are almost here as The Surge launches next week on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It has been a fun ride so far with a lot of questions still needing answers from Deck 13, but now that we are a few days away it seems like a moot point as we'll be able to answer them all for ourselves here. Of course that doesn't help with the whole figuring out our thoughts on The Surge before it launches, but I am sure that Focus Home Interactive would rather us just take the plunge and hope for the best instead of knowing everything and opting to possibly not picking up the game. Ancestors A new in-engine video for Ancestors has been released to show us just how the Ancestors RTS feel will go between god and unit It's going to sound odd talking about Ancestors here knowing that there are two titles coming out with that as the main title for the game. The version we are going to talk about here though is the RTS title coming from 1C and Destructive Creations for the Xbox One and PC and not the weird ancient history simulator that we've heard a little about before. This version of Ancestors will be taking us through history, but all in the vein of murdering each other in glorious battle between four different nations. Total War Not long ago it was announced that Total War: Warhammer II was coming and now we have a look at some in-game footage for Total War: Warhammer II with a new race of lizardmen Back in March we all caught wind of Total War: Warhammer II coming to our PCs sometime in 2017 but it was all done in a cinematic trailer that didn't do much but show us that the game was coming and to expect more. No slight to Creative Assembly for what they gave us, but I know I am not a fan of just cinematic trailers and then nothing to go one from there. Sure we found out that there would be elves in Total War: Warhammer II but I prefer gameplay and something more akin to what we will be getting in a final build. Read More...

Crash Bandicoot Two new videos for the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy have popped up to give us a feel for how the original Crash Bandicoot games have been updated So far we've seen what the updates for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will look like and how some of the levels have been altered to handle better and not just look better. We are talking some very old games here that Vicarious Visions is bringing back to us and it isn't something as easy as a texture swap to get the levels and characters looking as they do on the PS4. Some gamers out there don't have a good frame of reference though for where Crash Bandicoot is coming from and what has truly gone into the update that Activision is bringing us. Read More...

Call Of Duty A new bundle, the Call Of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles, has been announced and aims to bring all of the Call Of Duty Zombies fun in one place It's fun to see how a little Easter Egg in an older Call Of Duty title has progressed over the many different versions and developers over the years. In this case we are talking about the Zombies mode that was slipped into World Of War by Treyarch and has now become a staple in all of the versions of the game that Activision pays to come out. Now it looks like, for the first time, we will get to see all of Treyarch's versions of the mode in one place as Call Of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles has been announced and hitting the PS4 on May 16th.
