Resident Evil 7 Is Getting More Action When Not A Hero Releases

Resident Evil 7

Gameplay for Resident Evil 7's upcoming DLC, Not A Hero, is out there from TGS and it looks to bring Resident Evil 7 some of the action from prior titles

We have been waiting so long for the Not A Hero DLC to come to Resident Evil 7 and all we have had so far has been little teases and images of what Chris will look like and that it is coming. At least if you made it all the way through the game or did not care about spoiling it online. Anyways, Capcom has not given much outside of the date to look for it to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. That date being December 12th of this year. Thankfully though, TGS is going on and we have now been treated to a little bit of gameplay for this Resident Evil 7 DLC and it looks like it could be deviating from one of the aspects that made the game such an amazing addition into the drooping franchise.

As it looks here, this DLC will be keeping with the first-person camera style but it look like it will now be adding a "shooter" adjective to that descriptor for Resident Evil 7. I know that the core game and some gunplay action, but seeing as this is Chris and he is a well-armed member of New Umbrella, he is armed to the teeth and has a lot more to offer in terms of firepower. This also means that we are going to be seeing a lot of action oriented gameplay in Resident Evil 7 now. At least it is all through DLC and not something in the core of it all. Have a look for yourself though so you can see what I am talking about when it comes to the action.

All those Molded in Resident Evil 7 sure seem to go down a lot easier with grenades, better firepower, and armored up gloves to punch them in the face with. Seriously, unless they are giving us a modified version of Chris, it seems like Capcom is deviating from what has been established already. Seeing as this is a Resident Evil game in the same timeline, it is easily possible that there has been some advancements, but it does mean that we are going to lose a bit of the horror aspect in this little addition. All of the other DLC for Resident Evil 7 so far has kept the horror pretty solid, but this gameplay totally looks like another FPS game just set in the world that has been created for the horror title already.

All of that said, what do you think about the gameplay for this little Resident Evil 7 add-on? Do you agree that it looks like there will be a lot more action in this bit or could it just be the part of the gameplay that they wanted to show us so far? Were you a fan of the faster-paced Resident Evil games or will this ruin the horror side of this resurgence? Let us know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss.
