[PC Review] Sam & Max: Season Two
by Michael Camacho [ Sunday, 14th of December 2008 - 07:46 PM ]
Sam & Max are back in their second collection of episodes appropriately titled, Sam & Max: Season Two. For those who don't know, Sam & Max are a detective duo, calling themselves "the freelance police", based off of the comic series created by Steve Purcell. Sam, a 6-foot dog in stereotypical detective attire, and Max, a rabbit with a pension for violence, solve crimes without any regard for the law and rarely without conflict. The series consists of references various aspects of pop culture, offbeat humorous dialogue, and quick wit. In Ice Station Santa, Sam & Max journey to the North Pole after being attacked at their office by a large robot, which was tagged as being sent by Santa. Read More...

Only A Year Late...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of December 2008 - 06:32 PM ]
PlayStation fiends finally get a second life One of the big rumors and let downs, so far, for Sony has been their new "Social Network" program, Home. It has had so many rumors about when the mass populace will be able to get their hands on it, it has made a lot of people stop caring about it. To top that off, Sony's very limited "Beta" for the program has also left a lot feeling left out. Don't worry you people, there isn't much that you are missing. Just having the early download. "SACK IT TO ME"...Weekly Answers to the LBP Community's Questions As has been the buzz around the net and the PS Forum boards, moderation on user created levels has been out of control on the LBP servers. Like crazy to the point where some levels that have no offensive materials or copy written materials have been removed. With no explanation as well. To me this is really hampering one of the best features of this game. Read More...

Uncharted 2 Revealed
by Jesse [ Tuesday, 2nd of December 2008 - 06:15 AM ]
Since the days of the original PlayStation, the holy trinity of Sony exclusive developers, Insomniac Games, Naughty Dog, and Sucker Punch have always worked hard to produce amazing, wholly original content for the various Sony consoles. Today it was first revealed by Game Informer that Naughty Dog, creators of Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter are working on a follow-up to their hugely popular PS3 title Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. The sequel titled Uncharted 2: Among Thieves follows Nathan Drake on an adventure involving the voyages of 13th century explorer Marco Polo. While new characters and locations are expected, it was also announced that a new free climbing mechanic and new stealth sections will be incorporated into the game. Read More...

[PSP Import Review] Ikki Tousen: Eloquent Fist
by Michael Camacho [ Saturday, 25th of October 2008 - 05:44 AM ]
Ikki Tousen is a fan service anime, all about breasts, fighting, pantsu, Chinese history and more breasts. So with the PSP release of Ikki Tousen: Eloquent Fist, Marvelous Entertanment brings us a toned downed eroge side scrolling beat-'em-up of the anime.  While you won't see any type of nudity, there are more than enough suggestive images that unlock throughout the game. The game is out in Japan only, and most likely will never see a U.S. Read More...

Biohazard In The Home

Resident Evil 5 Getting PSHome Lounge So If you look at the most recent posting about PSHome, you can see that I am not all that enthused about PSHome any more. It has been way too long of a tease for something that doesn't seem to be well received by Sony fans. But that is not what I am here to bring up. I am here to bring up something that is peaking my interest back in it. That is the specific Game Lounges that will come out within Home and the most recent one announced at the TGS. Read More...

RUMOR MILL: Guess What Else Comes Out Nov 19th Along With NXE
by Ben Brody [ Monday, 13th of October 2008 - 05:32 AM ]
Oh c'mon why wouldn't they pull that. The Inquirer reports that on November 19th of this year, Sony's Playstation Home will be unleashed to the public, coincidentally on the same exact day that Microsoft drops it's New XBOX Experience for its XBOX 360 console. While Home is certainly more substansial (it's a whole virtual world where you can walk around, play games, watch movies, and more, semi-akin to second life), where as NXE is more of a looks-rather-than-content update, both are being heavily looked forward to. While people who live close to each other in real life probably won't substitute going to somebody's PS Home versus going to their real home, it does offer a great solution for people who live across the country. The world you ask? Read More...

OpEd: Sony Just Says NO to PS3 Price Cuts for the Holidays
by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 8th of October 2008 - 10:13 PM ]
A Sony exec, namely Patrick Seybold, told potential Playstation 3 consumers that no holiday price cuts, let alone permanent, would be in the works as it would cost the company too much money. *FACTOID: Sony made $88.7 billion in revenue last fiscal year while Microsoft, whose company recently permanently dropped prices of their XBOX 360's at least $50, made $60.4 Billion in revenue last fiscal year, $28.3 billion less than Sony* While people with an HDTV are getting a 2 for 1 with the $399. Rock Band 2 Registration Now Available For the 20 Free Songs
by Michael Camacho [ Wednesday, 1st of October 2008 - 04:01 PM ]
The Rock Band 2 registration site is now up and running for those looking to get their 20 songs via download.  While the songs aren't available yet, you can register now, so Harmonix can e-mail you the download code when they become available in a few weeks.  Also while filling out the form, it has a comment box where you can suggest Bands & Songs you would like to see on Rock Band 2.  Unfortunately, no word on what will be included in this 20 song DLC as of yet.  I personally hope they throw in some J-Rock, but I know it's all wishful thinkin. Rack One Up For Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of September 2008 - 05:03 PM ]
Jack Thompson Disbarred That's right, one of the main thorns in the side of the video game community/industry has just been permanently disbarred as well as having to pay hefty fine by the Supreme Court of Florida. All of this for inappropriate conduct when filing his flagrant charges against Game, TV, and Music companies for their "Questionable" material in their formats. Some of these of course being against South Park and Grand Theft Auto. Now, granted, he has 30 days to appeal this disbarment and such, but he still has the sanction of that he cannot submit this to the court himself. Read More...

Rocker's Rejoice
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of August 2008 - 07:18 PM ]
PS3 Music Peripheral Compatibility Update So the Rock Band/Guitar Hero debate will never end. The one where no one wants to say they are equal. Think about it, I'm sure you know a fan boy for one format or the other. I know I do. Well soon, Sony will be taking steps to bring these two giants together. Well a bit. Even include for some of their other less know or popular music titles coming out. Read More...

by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 5th of August 2008 - 12:02 AM ]
Namco Bandai announced last week that their hit game series IdolM@ster will be released for the Sony PSP this winter in Japan, as not 1 title, but 3 seperate titles.  For those not familiar with the IdolM@ster series, the game is a virtual simulator where you create your very own Japanese Music Idol.  You handle their schedule, costumes, song choices, and happiness/stress levels, to create the #1 Idol.  The series has been a huge hit in arcades and one of the biggest hits on the Xbox 360 in Japan. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of July 2008 - 09:15 PM ]
From what I was getting about this conference, it wasn't much on huge announcements, but showing off what is coming in the next 9 months. It is breath taking when you see it. I was trying to videos for you before I posted, so, here we go. Resistance II Like I said, not much to talk about for this one. They brought up the coop and multi player game stuff and that was it.
