E3 Hands On — Far Cry 5
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 16th of June 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Far Cry 5 While at E3 2017 I was able to see Far Cry 5 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Far Cry 5 from E3. Given all of the hype around Far Cry 5 and the big announcements just before E3, it is not too shocking that it was on the show floor and out there to be played and experienced to our heart's content. At least as much as Ubisoft had for us, which was a nice solid look at the Heroes for Hire function of the game that will be a big push. We are now up to five in Far Cry 5 and maybe more before it launches on February 27th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

E3 2017 Impressions — Life Is Strange: Before The Storm
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 15th of June 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange While at E3 I was able to see Life Is Strange: Before The Storm in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Life Is Strange: Before The Storm. Another huge shocking title to make it's way out to E3 this year had to be Life Is Strange: Before The Storm. This is a prequel of sorts for the amazing title that DONTNOD gave us before and now Deck Nine Games aims to give us all a feel for where some of the other characters came from and how they better tie into the overall story. Unlike many of the other games announced and shown at E3 though, Life Is Strange: Before The Storm is slated for a pretty quick release date with August 31st for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is a shorter title in the series with only three episodes slated, but that doesn't mean it won't pack a punch. Read More...

E3 2017 Impressions — Spider-Man
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 15th of June 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Spider-Man While at E3 I was able to see Spider-Man in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Spider-Man. This was one of the bigger titles that had everyone on the E3 showfloor clamouring for more and that is about what we had for Spider-Man out here this year. It of course all kicked off with the new gameplay trailer for the game that Insomniac Games put together for the big PlayStation showcase, but then was followed up with another showing on the show floor in one of the PS4 showrooms. It wasn't any different part of Spider-Man, but it was a live demo of the same portion of the game where a few different things were shown off and explained a bit more than in the trailer we all have most likely seen a few times over already. Just like the Days Gone demo, I've added in the original gameplay trailer for Spider-Man that was shown and then will dive into the differences that were shown and explained behind the closed doors of the showroom. E3 2017 Impressions — A Plague Tale: Innocence
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 15th of June 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
A Plague Tale While at E3 I was able to see A Plague Tale: Innocence in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on A Plague Tale: Innocence When you hear something like A Plague Tale: Innocence you instantly think of just an illness and maybe some innocent seeming people being affected by said illness. I know that is what I thought when I first heard about Asobo Studio's new title coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. I won't lie, originally this wasn't much on my radar but Focus Home Interactive had me on over to have a look at a bit of the game here at E3 and it is a bit more that what I mentioned before. God Of War Shows Us How To Be A True Warrior
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of June 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
God Of War Another gameplay trailer for God Of War has been released and it also tells us God Of War will officially release in 2018 It's been almost a year since last we had anything solid to go on for God Of War as the last official showing was during the media briefing and E3 of 2016. I know there was a lot of hope that Santa Monica Studio would have had the game hitting the PS4 this year, but now it is confirmed that 2018 will be the year that Kratos is back and slaying all of the mythological beasts of Norse mythology. It is a wait, but given that this is the reboot that God Of War should be getting here, I'll wait the time to make sure we get another great experience out of it all. It would seem a bit of a waste if it was just Kratos going at all of these new gods for no other reason than they are gods and such. Read More...

E3 Hands On — The Inpatient
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of June 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
The Inpatient While at E3 I was able to see The Inpatient in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on The Inpatient. Here we go with another interesting title that was shown off during the big PlayStation media showcase and it is The Inpatient. Not much was known for this title before or even after the event outside of the trailer and that it is is another title coming from Supermassive Games for the PS VR set up. Also, as of this time it is only a PS VR title so keep that in mind as I break down my experience with The Inpatient in one of the hidden floors of the E3 show floor booths. Well, not so hidden but hard to get to as it was a rather long demo for the show here, but I am digressing from the actual hands on. Read More...

E3 2017 Impressions — Days Gone
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of June 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Days Gone While at E3 I was able to see Days Gone in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Days Gone Even thought the zombie crazy seems to have been taking its toll as of late, that isn't going to stop Days Gone from coming and getting all of the well deserved hype that it has been since it was first shown to the world. Bend Studio made another huge splash out there with new gameplay this year at E3 as well as an interesting stage show that went along with it. If only we had a release date for Days Gone to hit the PS4 now, but beggars can't be choosers. Read More...

E3 Hands On — Detroit: Become Human
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 13th of June 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Detroit While at E3 I was able to see Detroit: Become Human in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Detroit: Become Human. With each new trailer for Detroit: Become Human, the game looks more and more impressive in terms of animation and visuals. There is no denying that Quantic Dream has something special here in terms fo all of that. While it is all nice to look at and experience, that, of course, does not make a game by itself and there should be a lot more to Detroit: Become Human to make it more than just a pretty walking simulator. Thankfully, before the major PlayStation conference, I was able to give a small demo of the game a spin to see just how it plays and if it will be a great experience on the PS4 when it finally launches. Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back Announced & Bringing Bubsy Out Of Retirement
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of June 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Bubsy A new Bubsy game has just been teased with Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back and it looks like we'll be hanging with this bobcat this September Here's a name I haven't heard in a while in gaming and now it looks like Bubsy is coming back with a new title called Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back. Maybe you remember the bobcat here from the past titles that Accolade had brought us but given that it has been about twenty years since then we can give a pass. None of that changes the fact that Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back has been announced for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC with a hopeful release date in September for this platformer to finally make a comeback. Johnny Gat Is Back From Hell Just For Agents Of Mayhem
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of June 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Agents Of Mayhem Pre-order bonuses for Agents Of Mayhem have been announced and they bring a Saints Row fan-favorite to Agents Of Mayhem as well as another Given that Agents Of Mayhem is kind of an off-shoot of Saints Row, in spirits and more, it would make sense that we would get some great crossovers between it and the other Volition titles here and now we have it. Johnny Gat will be making his way into the game here and giving us all a 13th agent to play and see what the canon ending of Gat Out Of Hell truly was. At least if you aim to pre-order Agents Of Mayhem from GameStop for the PS4, Xbox One, or PC before August 15th. Read More...

Red Hood Will Be Playable In Injustice 2 Next Week
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of June 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Injustice 2 Red Hood has been slated to come to Injustice 2 in June and now we not only know when he'll join Injustice 2 but we can see more of his action If you've been keeping up with Injustice 2 since launch then it is no surprise to you that Red Hood is one of the DLC characters that will be coming to the game. Hells, if you've updated the game on the PS4 or Xbox One to the latest build that NetherRealm Studios has put out there then you definitely know as he and silhouettes of the other fighters can also be seen in the game. Pretty much as the team has been getting Injustice 2 ready for all of the future characters to flow on in and now it looks like June 13th will be the day that Red Hood becomes available to all those who want to play as him. Submit To Your Destiny & Story Of Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of June 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Shadow Of War A new story trailer for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War has released and shows just what the new ring in Shadow Of War can and will do For a game that needed to be delayed until October 10th, there sure is a lot of Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War to go around here and I have a feeling there will be a lot more given its presence at E3 this year. If I had to guess it was less with Monolith Productions needing more time to polish or whatever and more to get the buzz going and the marketing campaigns to a high. Either way, there is a lot of Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War out there to take in with more on the way and here we go today with more on the story with an official story trailer for the game. Become A Club Member Of Vampyr's The Ascalon Club In The E3 Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of June 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Vampyr Check out more of the locations for Vampyr in the E3 trailer as well as see Vampyr's Ascalon Club in action before the new release date It's time to start the fun for E3 here as the new basic trailers for games are starting to flow and here we go with Vampyr and its latest trailer to have a look at just before a huge showing on the floor out there next week. I have been excited for DontNod to bring us more for this game for some time now and am glad to see that we have a nice long trailer to look at here. If only it was more gameplay for Vampyr and less flying around to show off some of the world in the game. Read More...

Review — The Walking Dead: A New Frontier — From The Gallows
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of June 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead We sit down and review The Walking Dead: A New Frontier — From The Gallows. This is the final episode of Telltale's continuation on their version of The Walking Dead. Here's our review on how they did It may have had a slow start to get going, but here we go with the end of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier's season here. Technically this would be the end of the third season of the franchise from Telltale Games but given the new title it can be seen as its own thing in a shared universe. No matter which way you want to take it, here we are at the end of this season of The Walking Dead and in turn the conclusion of this story and hopefully closure on all of the other events and choices in the game so far. There's A Whole Lot Of ELEX Gameplay To Take In Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of June 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
ELEX New gameplay for ELEX has popped up online and we have about sixteen minutes of ELEX to pour through to and dissect now While it seems like there are a lot of titles out there trying to hold back new gameplay for E3 next week, it looks like some new footage for ELEX has been released out there by THQ Nordic to get us all riled up and ready for some newer footage soon. At least that is how I take the most recent look at Piranha Bytes' title here as we have do have a lot of gameplay in time but not much more than a lot of walking, jumping, and occasionally shooting. Yes, get ready for a lot of what looks like B-Roll here for ELEX but with a few new bits mixed in. Read More...
