Prey Another trailer for Prey is here and this one goes over all the fun gadgets and gear we'll have to play with in Prey when it launches Another week and another video here for Prey. With May 5th quickly approaching, I know I still have many questions and things I want to see from Arkane Studios and it looks like they are going to deliver it all right up until the launch. Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with yet another week in video games in the bag. A nice strong week at that as we started out with a great review for Mass Effect: Andromeda and still managed to not have any of the April Fool's Day bullshit mixed in. Prey New details on Prey's alien powers and human upgrades are here and it shows just how in Prey we will be playing with more power As we mentioned earlier in the week, Prey was slated to get a few new videos to look at to go over the alien powers and upgrades that we could jam into Yu's eyes. We've already seen a nice smattering of them all already but just when you though that Arkane Studios has shown them all, they have a few more in the wings waiting to be seen. Now we get to see them and hopefully not all for Prey here as we still need some surprises come May 5th and hopefully Bethesda is going to reel it all in to make sure we aren't left wanting but also don't know it all. Prey A new showcasing of Prey's different weapons and powers is here to show you the stuff we have yet to see for Prey so far We've seen a whole lot of the weapons and powers for Prey so far but it has seemed a bit limited. I assumed that was due to the fact that Arkane Studios wanted to keep a lot of it under wraps until May 5th when we'll all be playing the game on our PS4, Xbox One, or PC. Looks like I was wrong. Prey A new developer diary for Prey is out and it dives right into Prey's protagonist, who they are and why they are going through the hell that they do in the game By now we all know that we will be playing our own version of Morgan Yu in Prey so we can be fully immersed. Arkane Studios has given us the option to play as male or female in the game and all without sacrificing any of the story for one or the other. Pretty nice even though Prey is a FPS and we'll only really see the character's hands in this regard, but there are a few scenes and tidbits that will show off the gender. Prey Have a look at three of Prey's Typhon aliens in action along with how they may function in Prey and how we will be able to handle them in the long run We've seen them a bit already in Prey but now it looks like it is time to have a better breakdown of the alien creatures, known as Typhon, for the game. Well, at least three of them for now even though we see four in the list, but maybe that was just Arkane Studios suggesting that one is really just the "cocoon" of sorts to build to the others. Prey Another long bit of gameplay for Prey has been released but this time we get to see some of Prey's alien abilities mixed into it all Hopefully you are ready for a whole lot of new gameplay for Prey as that is what we have here for us all to digest. Well, some of it is new as the first bit is filled with the gameplay that Arkane Studios has already shown us all before, but thankfully there is a bit more than we've had before. Inner Chains We have a new gameplay video for Inner Chains and unlike before we get to see some of Inner Chains' action and combat to some of the fullest Not too long ago we all were treated to some of the first gameplay for Inner Chains and we were able to see just how weird the world that Telepaths' Tree has built for the game. No Man's Sky Another big update has come to No Man's Sky and it brings new modes and crafts to No Man's Sky to further the overall gaming experience Hopefully you've been sticking with No Man's Sky if you are one of those gamers who bought into all the hype before the game's launch. Why is that? Well it looks like the next big patch for the game is ready and being deployed out there from Hello Games. There have been a lot of features added on in the last major patch but here we go with even more that will bring on some new gameplay modes for No Man's Sky and new trophies for those hunters out there. Shadow Of War The first bit of gameplay for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War is finally here and now we can see how Shadow Of War has progressed from its predecessor Just as promised last week, here we go with some solid new gameplay for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War. Not only does it show off some amazing combat but it looks like Monolith Productions has gone out of their way to vastly improve the Nemesis mechanic in the game as it could very well leap over to many other aspects and characters in the game. Mix that in with some cinematic and over-the-top looking battles, Shadow Of War looks just like where the game needed to head toward and so far so good. Game Pass It has just been announced that Xbox Game Pass is coming to us all soon and Xbox Game Pass will let us play many backwards compatible titles for a low monthly fee As if we didn't have enough games to play in general, it looks like we now have Xbox Game Pass to look forward to this Spring. This would be a new service that has been announced that will be we some are calling a Netflix for Xbox games. More or less Xbox Game Pass is another subscription service that will let you play 100 different titles as you wish on the Xbox One that also houses a load of backward capable titles from the Xbox 360. Shadow Of War Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War has been announced and looks to bring us all back into the universe with new Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War gameplay coming soon It looks like Lord Of The Rings fans can start to lose their shit again as now Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War has been officially announced as a sequel to the critically-acclaimed Shadow Of Mordor from a few years ago. If you couldn't get enough of the universe or the Nemesis system that Monolith Productions gave us before then of course you are already losing your mind as now we will get a whole new story for the franchise as well as an upgraded system to further your love. Not only that, but the wait for Shadow Of War won't be too far out as even though this is an announcement for the game, it is slated to launch on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC this coming August 22nd.
