Trine

An announcement for Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is here and with it comes a new bundle for Trine all coming to us some time in the Fall of this year

We can all rejoice again as Frozenbyte is bringing us all Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince to carry on forward with the franchise and capturing the hearts of fans all over. This does not come as a huge surprise to me as it has been an interesting few games so far and it makes sense to keep it all going. This time with more of Trine flowing out to the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC platforms later in this year. How much later? The current track is to see The Nightmare Prince out by this Fall. So, September at the earliest, but that is not too far off when you start looking at the calendar we all currently have.

In addition to this announcement, and for those out there who have not been able to experience the Trine titles, we also have word that there will be a nice little bundle of the game on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC that will house all of the adventures thus far. This also includes Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince in the mix, but the first three titles for those who have been behind or need a reason to pick them all up in one place. Not the worst deal you could come across on the internet today. Well, at least depending on what and where you navigate to. All the judging here…

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince — Announcement

Developer Frozenbyte and indie video game publisher Modus Games today confirm first gameplay details and reveal an official announcement trailer for the upcoming and highly anticipated Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Steam, Discord and other PC platforms this fall. Alongside the series’ new installment, Modus will release Trine: Ultimate Collection. Packed with bonus content at retail, the bundle will include Trine: Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power, and Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince and will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC both physically and digitally.

Featuring an all-new story that reunites Amadeus, Pontius, and Zoya, Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince returns to the magic of 2.5D with the puzzle-platforming gameplay that defined a genre in Trine 1 and 2. Play as the three iconic heroes in the most extensive Trine adventure yet, complete with stunning new environments and dynamic, physics-based puzzles that fans have grown to know and love.

After years apart, the Astral Academy has requested help from the three heroes to find Prince Selius, whose intensely dark nightmares have begun to slip into reality and wreak havoc on the waking world. Encounter more epic boss fights than ever before, solve fascinating puzzles, unlock new skills, explore lush, vibrant landscapes, and experience a hauntingly beautiful new soundtrack by the composer of Trine 1-3. Additionally, and for the first time ever, Trine adds four-player co-op to its feature list.

What are your thoughts on a new Trine title and bundle coming to market for us all? Have you been a fan since the first one or will you be looking to give it all a go in one fell swoop? How do you feel about this one getting a four-player co-op feature in the mix and will that further the franchise more? Give us all of those opinions down in the comments. As we learn more for Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, we will certainly add it to the site here. Keep coming right back to see all of that and more.
