Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Brings More Sights To Be Seen

Ancestors

New gameplay for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is here and shows off a bit more on how we will identify things in Ancestors with our babies

Here we go with a bit more gameplay for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey today and it is just a nice little bit. I will take everything that we can out of Panache Digital Games here as it has been an interesting concept from day one for me. Especially given the pedigree of the developers in charge of it all. That and the interesting use of the game's world to force exploration in Ancestors. This is one of the bigger aspects of the game besides trying to survive all of the other harshness of the world. I am guessing there is something with keeping your babies alive too. That would at least make sense.

As you can see in this new video for Ancestors, we will need to move about the world but will have some kind of markers out there to indicate what and where they all are. That is as long as we focus a bit and spot them while running around the world dodging giant birds. That is at least as we get to see here given the way the ape is attacked and hunted in the latter half of the video. If you want to see all of that in motion for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, have a look below if you have not already skipped right along already. It happens when we get excited for our favorite video games we are interested in.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey — New Gameplay

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a third-person open-world survival game where you Explore, Expand, and Evolve to advance your clan to the next generation in this exhilarating new adventure from the creator of Assassin’s Creed.

Embark on the most incredible odyssey known to humankind: human evolution. Spanning from 10 million to 2 million years ago, begin your journey, “Before Us,” in Neogene period Africa. Explore a beautiful yet ruthless world, from swinging through tree branches in the jungle to stalking prey across the golden savannah grasslands. Decide what attributes to learn and hone in order to pass down knowledge to future generations, from crafting tools to enhancing evasive tactics against predators. Just like real life, make sure to eat, drink, and sleep to stay alive and have the energy to face any danger that may come your way.

Grow your clan and find strength in numbers as you progress through critical evolutionary stages of human evolution. Your choices will write your clan’s story and determine if you can survive your evolution.

Is this how you expected everything to work in Ancestors or did you expect something a little less Assassin’s Creed for the game? How do you think these will stay active as the game progresses or will it only be when you are near that it will show? Will we have to keep all of our babies alive or will they be able to fend for themselves at some point? Let us all know what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. When we have more to share for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, we will share it all here. Just be sure to keep swinging on in to spot it all.
