Boom Goes The Serious Sam 3 Announcemnet
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of March 2011 - 11:02 PM ]
Hey Serious Sam fans! It looks like your wait is over for the third installment of the game. Serious Sam 3 has just been announced with a few screen shots of the game mixed in with the announcement. But who really cares about screen shots on their favorite game franchise that has only been in development for the last six or so years. Am I right? We want to get into the nitty gritty details and not how the game is going to look when you get it home. Read More...

Get Read To Embrace The Darkness Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of February 2011 - 04:56 PM ]
Hey I remember when The Darkness came out. I also remember I was not able to play it due to my lack of fundage but I did get to take the demo for a whirl. Obviously not enough to make any decent or well informed judgment on the game. Nor any good point of reference for the announcement of the sequel that has just been announced quite simply named The Darkness II. So for those like me or have kind of lost memory of the game from about four years ago, let me throw out the nice recap 2K Games has written up for us. It's been two years since Jackie Estacado, now the Don of the Franchetti crime family, used The Darkness to kill the men responsible for his girlfriend's murder. Read More...

Comic Con Day 2: Night Of The Living Retardababy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of July 2010 - 10:33 PM ]
After having a bit of time to cool off about all of the events of the prior day, and receiving a few PR-like responses to messages about having issues with booth people, I trudged my way back to the convention space. It was truly a difficult thing to have to do after the abysmal treatment received the day before, but Friday was the day of the first big panel I needed to attend. That panel being Twisted Metal, but that comes later. The day was already off to a good start with almost being mugged for my Pop Tart by a sparrow and a good laugh being had by all. Read More...

Review: Dragon Age: Origins Awakening
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 22nd of March 2010 - 03:50 PM ]
Disclaimer: Before you continue on to reading this review, I want to say a couple of things. If you have not played Dragon Age: Origins, I highly recommend you do before playing this expansion. While it is playable as a stand alone on consoles, you will be doing yourself a huge disservice by not playing through the original storyline. Second, play through all current DLC on the main game as well before importing your character into Dragon Age: Origins Awakening, as you will not be able to go back and play through that once your character has gone through the Awakening storyline. It has only been four months since Dragon Age: Origins was released by Bioware, and already they have released one DLC (Return to Orzammar) and now we have the first full expansion pack, known as Awakening. Darksiding With A Demo
by Kevin [ Wednesday, 17th of February 2010 - 03:02 PM ]
Darksiders, a game that seemed to have trouble finding a general consensus at first, but did manage several very positive reviews is bringing a 90-minute demo to the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 on Feb. 25th. The demo will have the Twilight Cathedral level and will include some of the puzzles that have divided the gaming crowd as well as some equipment to find and even a couple of boss battles. Though the game has already shipped a million units, will a demo bring more gamers to the table ready to take on the mantle of War? Time will tell next week when the demo drops. Read More...

Q&A with Vigil Games on Darksiders
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 10th of December 2009 - 02:50 PM ]
Only weeks away from the highly anticipated launch, Darksiders is a post-apocalyptic action-adventure that puts you in the shoes of one of the famed Four Horsemen.  Light and fluffy, I know, but after a couple years since its announcement, Vigil Games has positioned themselves and the game in a very advantageous position in the dawn of the upcoming year.  Also not hurting is the fact that the game looks to be shaping up like it's going to blow your mind.Haydn Dalton, lead designer of the game at Vigil, took a few moments to answer some of the burning questions surrounding the game. We discuss the single player campaign and muliplayer, including a look into the controversy surrounding the game at launch. On Bargain Binh this week, Binh suggests a title to help survive the zombie hordes for under $20, Brian showcases a classic NES title revisioned for WiiWare when he goes On The DL, and Michael brings us a Sci-Fi action, comedy gem with Netflix Pix. Is Digital Distribution the Future?
by Ben Brody [ Tuesday, 10th of November 2009 - 02:51 AM ]
It's fairly safe that we can all assume that the future of movies and game sales is digital distribution. How long the duration will be for it to take over is anybody's guess. It will be more determined by the willingness of people to download a game as opposed to having a physical copy than anything else. Delivery systems like GameTap, Direct2Drive and most notably Steam, have been digitally distributing PC games for years and have been met with success. It seems as though PC players are more willing to buy digital distribution than their console counterparts -- maybe because it's been available longer and they feel more comfortable with it or maybe it's because they don't care about having a physical copy since they can not trade it in anyhow. by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 5th of November 2009 - 03:36 PM ]

Our topics of discussion this episode deal with the rumors of Modern Warfare 2 blocking party chat in some modes on XBox Live, Michael ranting about demos being given out as pre-order bonuses, and why the hell there is a King Of Fighters movie being made. Then There Was Mayhem
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 4th of November 2009 - 09:55 PM ]
As I am sure by now you have heard of, seen, and/or played a bit of Darksiders. Either from your favorite news source or at your favorite gaming convention. But what is it really all about? How epic of a tale is going to go along with the game about a fallen horseman? I know I've been curious myself. Well curiosity is sated a bit more with THQ's latest trailer for the game. Nicknamed the Mayhem trailer. Read More...

Dragon Age Journey's A 2D Adventure
by Corey Dockendorf [ Friday, 16th of October 2009 - 05:07 PM ]
As if there hasn't been enough stuff popped out from the beast that is Dragon Age: Origins. First we get the character builder, then we get the social networking site. The game isn't available until the beginning of next month but BioWare is already working on a 2D project slated for sometime in October to wet our appetites. Blood, monsters, and character sheets, all in classic 2D! Dragon Age Journeys: Deep Roads is being created by EA2D, a new studio out of the EA franchise that specializes in flash based games. The Age Of The Dragon Is Drawing Near!
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 13th of October 2009 - 08:19 PM ]
As previously announced by the Dragon Age: Origins team, the character builder is finally available for download Here. After spending many hours with this game demo at Comic-con this year, and finally getting to see what I am going to make my "first character" look like is quite exciting. It's a little taste of things to come. Players who download the Character Builder will be able to select everything from Gender to Class and see the talent trees we will have to choose from. I must warn you though, the guys over at Dragon Age really outdid themselves this time. Read More...

Review: Gran Turismo (PSP)
by Ben Brody [ Friday, 2nd of October 2009 - 02:10 PM ]
Gran Turismo PSP, what was supposed to be a launch game (it kinda did in some ways with the PSPGo) in 2004 is finally out now, and available as a download for the PSPGo or a physical UMD for the rest, you alternatively could download the game for any PSP. The graphics are good, really good in fact. The detail that the cars are given is extensive seeing as the game is only about 1.2 gb; the graphics compare to a really good Dreamcast/early PS2 game and runs at a smooth and steady 60fps. The audio is just as good, however some of the sounds do get a bit repetitive. Read More...
