Alien Isolation Is Now A Movie Tie-In Game From The 70's
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Pre-order bonuses for Alien Isolation have been announced and it will let players recreate part of the original film during gameplay No, this isn't announcement about a new movie to go alongside the release of Alien Isolation. If the headline there confused you then I am not sorry to tell you that there is no new film. We are getting the chance to recreate part of the Alien film though; with some of the characters and voices that made the franchise so big that it spawned all those sequels, crappy games, and no Alien Isolation. Note that I have left Alien Isolation out of the crappy games category for now and then we will carry on. Read More...

Battleborn Has Been Announced And It's Not About Nevada
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Gearbox and 2K Games have announced Battleborn the next-gen hero-shooter for the PS4, XB1, and PC I guess we can now understand why Gearbox has been pushing all the Borderlands spin-offs and that is to keep the money flowing in for their new IP Battleborn. As I stated this is not a title about how Nevada became part of the United States of America but a new FPS co-op title set in the distant future. Although it could be very easy to twist the whole story back into a game about Nevada but I have a good feeling that is nowhere close to what Battleborn is going to be all about. Could you imagine though? Read More...

Here Is The 15 Minute Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Demo From E3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A narrated version of the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel E3 demo has been released for those who may have missed it Last week we had the short "Survival Tips" video for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Now we have all the goodies that we actually were able to play on the floor at E3. I swear 2K is trying to keep the wonderment of E3 going as Evolve received all the limelight there and not their other titles. No matter the case though, they have taken it upon themselves to give us a little slice of the level and mission that they had to show. Spoiler alert, it looks like Borderlands in space with a few new gizmos and elements. Read More...

A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming So it has been a bit on the slow side of gaming news this week but that didn't stop us from having loads to bring you. Here's What People Waited 2 Hours To See For Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel At E3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The 'under the dome' E3 exclusive video for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel has been released online for those who didn't get a chance to see it If there is one other thing I learned at E3 this year it is that all of you Borderlands fans are pretty damn rabid to see anything for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Case in point will be the below video that fans stood in line upwards of two hours just to see under the safety of a moon dome that took up a third of the entire 2K booth. Granted this was played just before we were all queued up to actually play Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel but only half of the group actually went on to do just that. Read More...

Alien Isolation Has A Few More Screenshots To Show Off The Horror
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
New screenshots for Alien Isolation have come out of hiding and are ready to pounce We had a few sexy screenshots for Alien Isolation. Now it looks like we have a few more that didn't make the cut earlier but they still show off how nice the game will look. At least in the terms of fire, make-shift Molotov Cocktails, and flame throwers. We can file all of these in the folder of "The Environment Looks Amazing And The Lighting Effects Are Awesome" for now. It's a long name but it will make it easy to search for later. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new video for Kingdom Hearts 2.5 ReMIX has been released and shows off the differences between the SD and new HD versions of all the games Sometimes it takes nice little videos like the following Kingdom Hearts 2.5 ReMIX one to show how far we have advanced in the gaming world over the years. It's been only nine years since Kingdom Hearts II was released and I remember losing my brain when I saw how spectacular those looked back then. Now we get to see all of the hard work that has been put into upgrading the second wave of titles for the new collection from Disney and Square Enix. The video will show a considerable upgrade to all of the titles in the mix for Kingdom Hearts 2. Read More...

The Walking Dead Escape Is Again Letting Us Play A Survival Game At SDCC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Escape is coming back to San Diego Comic Con for a third year and is allowing us gamers to try to survive a zombie apocalypse game in real life If there has been one thing that has caught my love over the last few years at San Diego Comic Con it has to be The Walking Dead Escape. If you haven't seen or heard of it or seen it you can see my 2013 run and my 2012 run or you can just look around online as the event is still touring around the country giving all of us gamers a chance to test our mettle in a real live zombie apocalypse of sorts. If you are just one of those lazy people here I'll recap what the event is all about. In a nut shell they people who put on the event take over an arena, mall, or large building structure and do it and its surroundings up as if it was a location from The Walking Dead show or comic. Now We Get To Escape Dead Island While We Wait For Dead Island 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Deep Silver has just announced Escape Dead Island, a third-person survival mystery take on the Dead Island franchise from Fatshark Just in case you couldn't wait for some hardcore zombie killing action in Dead Island 2 or Dying Light (Coming 2015™), Deep Silver and Fatshark are bringing us yet another zombie slaying game of sorts with Escape Dead Island. It's not just zombie killing and surviving, but also a game about solving the mystery of what caused the outbreak and keeping your own sanity in the middle of this world crushing event. Also to deviate from the normal Dead Island type of formula is that Escape Dead Island will be in third-person view and with a graphic novel art style instead of the more realistic we are used to. HEXO+ Makes That Razer April Fools' Joke A Reality
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 30th of June 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
HEXO+, a Kickstarted camera accessory, has been funded and it looks like it is making that Razer April Fools' joke happen If you remember back in April, Razer made a joke about a drone that would film all of your life events and even make you feel like you were in a video game. That was the joke but it looks like with the HEXO+ Kickstarter almost reaching its last stretch goal with 15 days to go, we are getting just that device. While the HEXO+ wasn't originally designed for that purpose the first two stretch goals would allow for just that; a live video playback on your phone and the ability to set up specific angles. While Razer made the joke, HEXO+ looks to be making that amazing idea a reality. Read More...

More Space Marines With Space Hulk: Deathwing On The PS4, Xbox One, & PC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of June 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new 'summer' trailer has been released for Space Hulk: Deathwing coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC If you have an illness and the only cure is more space marines then look no further than Space Hulk: Deathwing. This is the latest in the Space Hulk franchise, at least in the video game world, and it definitely looks like it is going to have a cure for that illness. As if there weren't already enough of those franchises coming out later this year or in 2015 but different stokes for different folks I guess. You can take that phrase in whatever way you want but I meant it in the most Puritanical way that I know. Read More...

Have A Look At The War With The Half-Breeds In The Order: 1886
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 26th of June 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new developer diary has been released for The Order: 1886 and it takes us behind the scenes of the war between Humans and the Half-Breeds It was revealed at E3 that there would be Lycans in The Order: 1886 and now we get to see how they "evolved" and have gone to war in the game. It is sounding very Underworld-like now but it still doesn't mean this isn't looking to be a fun and exciting game. None the less, Ready At Dawn has given us a nice long look at how they designed the monsters as well as the mentality behind building the Lycans for The Order: 1886. Yea, still doesn't sit right when I say that. Read More...
