A new interim patch for Batman: Arkham Knight on PC has been released so current owners can start taking down the Arkham Knight already
The light can be seen at the end of the tunnel for those still suffering from the issues of Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. It looks like Rocksteady Games has finally been able to get that patch together to fix some of the issues that plagued Batman: Arkham Knight and Warner Bros. have released it out in the wild. At least released it out for those who have already purchased Batman: Arkham Knight as it makes the game 'playable' by PC gamer standards and there is a lot more to go until it is available again for purchase on Steam. Make you glad to have played, and most likely beaten, Batman: Arkham Knight on the PS4 or Xbox One to all of you console gamers out there? Huh?
This news comes right from the source in that Warner Bros. posted the patch update notes to the official Batman: Arkham Knight Steam page to let people know. This is what they promised and at least it was delivered there. It looks like the testing is going well, according to them, and they are still making progress to fix Batman: Arkham Knight once and for all. Before you patch and start playing though here is a short list of what Rocksteady Games was able to get fixed in this new patch. Seeing as PC gamers who have already applied the patch to their version of Batman: Arkham Knight are singing a few praises I think we can see a light at the end of the tunnel.
- Reduced frame rate hitches
- Optimizations for system memory and VRAM usage
- Improved performance on all GPUs (requires the latest drivers)
- More Comprehensive In-Game Settings
- Fixed low resolution texture bugs
- Fixed hitches when running on mechanical hard drives (HDD)
In case you thought this was going to be it for the patching on Batman: Arkham Knight for PC then let me rest your minds as Rocksteady Games is also still hard at work perfecting the above and adding the following in. Warner Bros. have not given a solid date on when we can see more for Batman: Arkham Knight on the PC but at least they are trying and it looks like they are close to getting the game fixed. Doesn't help in the short term but maybe this will mean that the PC gamers who bought Batman: Arkham Knight on day one will get some kind of Season Pass bonus or something. Mends have to be made after all.
- Adding support for SLI and Crossfire
- Adding support for the latest DLC & Season Pass content
- Adding support for additional updates such as Photo Mode
- Continued improvements and bug fixing for a Windows 7 specific memory issue that occurs on configurations with 8GB of system RAM and some NVIDIA GPUs during extended game play
- Continued improvements for Windows 10 specific issues on systems with some AMD GPUs
Have you had a chance to patch Batman: Arkham Knight on your PC yet? Is the early praise worthy or does Rocksteady Games still have a long way to go to make the game playable on the PC? Did you already get a refund and just give up on Batman: Arkham Knight and don't care? Let us know in the comments and discuss. Once Warner Bros. announces more on the patchwork for Batman: Arkham Knight we will have it for you so be sure to keep checking in to stay on top of all of the news and updates.
