Have A Good Look At Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of October 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new developer diary for Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris has been released from Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix to better explain the game If you are still upset that Rise Of The Tomb Raider will only be hitting one console next year then let's have a good look at Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris as that is supposed to be the alternative set up for PS4 and PC players in the interim. While not exclusive to those platforms, Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris is coming to Xbox One too, it is something for all non-Xbox players to dig into and help fund other versions of Rise Of The Tomb Raider. I'm still not sure how that makes any economical bonuses but it is something that we are all going to have to live with. Read More...

There Is A New FAQ To Try And Quell the Rise Of The Tomb Raider Exclusivity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Over the weekend there was a new FAQ posted to the official Rise Of The Tomb Raider Tumblr to try and explain what is going on with the platform exclusivity A few weeks back there was a huge stir as to if Rise Of The Tomb Raider was ever going to see the light of day on anything other than the Xbox One or Xbox 360 come the holiday season of 2015. The announcement of everything sure made it sound like it was not in the books at all that we would get to see the Tomb Raider again on the PS3, PS4, or PC. At least in the guise of the amazing reboot that Crystal Dynamics has already given all of the platforms out there. Read More...

So… Rise Of The Tomb Raider May Not Be An Xbox Exclusive Forever
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
In a recent interview Phil Spencer confirmed that the exclusivity deal for Rise Of The Tomb Raider has a time limit During the recent Microsoft press event at Gamescom it was claimed that Rise Of The Tomb Raider was going to be an exclusive for Xbox next year. This of course upset A LOT of gamers out there, like me, who fell in love with how Crystal Dynamics gave the franchise a re-boot. Tomb Raider Definitive Edition was the first retail game I purchased for my PS4. Well it would seem that during a recent interview from Phil Spencer this exclusivity may not be forever based on the deal Microsoft and Square Enix struck. Read More...

The Evil Within Is Getting A Prequel In Comic Form
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of May 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The horror game The Evil Within is getting a prequel comic from Titan Comics. The Evil Within isn't even out yet nor is it a large franchise yet and we are already getting a prequel comic book to go along with the game. It looks like Bethesda and Tango Gameworks are really behind this project to have green-lit this comic from Titan Comics. That would be the people behind the Doctor Who comics and the DmC comic. I guess that is a bit of good news to all of us wondering but only time will tell. Read More...

Let's See How The Tomb Raider Definitive Edition Is Bringing A Next Gen Lara
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of January 2014 - 06:54 PM ]
The Tomb Raider Definitive Edition was announced and claimed to be bringing us the next gen Lara Croft on the PS4 and Xbox One. Let's take a look at if they have kept their word. The Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is only about a week away from hitting our "next gen" consoles and giving us not only another title to play on them but a look at what Crystal Dynamics is claiming to be the definitive version of the game. At least to date. There have already been a few comparison videos and images spread out in the ether of the internet but are you not truly interested in what went into making this 'definitive' look? Review: Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of October 2013 - 07:04 PM ]
Here we are five titles into the franchise and we are now getting the ability to manipulate some of our favorite characters and worlds with Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure. While personally I would have preferred a Marvel version, beggars can't be choosers when given the opportunity to rewrite, create, and travel to all of the famous locations in "nerd" history. As should be obvious, I had a chance to get down and dirty with Scribblenauts Unmasked on the PC and I am going to break it down for you to let you know if you should spend the time and money for the game. The Story After all of their fun adventures before, Maxwell and his sister Lilly are having a normal dispute on who is the best DC character. Read More...

Big Surprise... Lex Luthor In Injustice: Gods Among Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of January 2013 - 11:59 PM ]
As it should come as no surprise, Lex Luthor has joined the roster for NetherRealm's upcoming Injustice: Gods Among Us. Why would he not have been in the game with his Superman/Meta-human hate speech? It makes sense. But either way, with the below trailer he has been officially added to the "Gods Among Us." Like the pun? Outside of that, there doesn't seem to be much more for the title here at all. Read More...

Just In Case You Missed The New Tomb Raider Trailer...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of December 2012 - 12:11 AM ]
Did you miss the new Tomb Raider trailer like I did? I'm sure you did as it was being over shadowed during the 2012 VGAs with some video engineer's want to show more of the orchestra than the actual trailer. Good news for you and me then as below we have the trailer that was playing in the background. Just like the screen shots we posted earlier this month it looks spectacular. Especially now that you can see it in one sitting without cut-a-ways to other things that most of us don't care about when looking for new game play for Tomb Raider. Read More...

New Tomb Raider Screens Burning Into My Eyes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of December 2012 - 11:52 PM ]
It's hard to believe that we haven't had anything of worth to write about for the upcoming Tomb Raider re-boot since E3. Yes there has been the announcement of the launch date (3/5/2013) and the collector's edition of the game, but all of the visuals and details of the game have kind of been in hiding. For the most part they still are, but at least we have a few new screen shots to show. One of them kind of shows the weapon progression for the game at that. Read More...

Sounds Like Batman Knows What's Going On In Injustice: Gods Among Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of September 2012 - 10:04 PM ]
So details about the story of Injustice have been sparse and they still are. Even the full character roster has still not fully been disclosed. But there has been a lot of fun game play since the announcement and first public showing. Now that TGS is in full swing, it would make sense that there is a new trailer for the game. So you shall see that and a few new screen shots below. But before you dig in there is something I want to bring attention to. Read More...

Cat Woman Joins The Cast Of Injustice: Gods Among Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of August 2012 - 10:14 PM ]
Well this was pretty much expected. Cat Woman has just been confirmed as a new playable character for Injustice: Gods Among Us and below is a video showcasing what she can do and take in the game. As is to be expected she is fast, agile and able to whip the other characters from DC universe into shape. That is if she is not trying to kill them with cheesy one-liners of the feline nature instead. I will say that I am a bit curious by the fact that she has an RPG as an attack in the game given all of the other things they could have used. Read More...

Deadpool Is Finally Getting His Own Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of July 2012 - 05:13 PM ]
He's been featured in a few games and has mostly been used for cameos, but now the 'merc with a mouth' is finally getting his own shot at video game stardom. That's right, Deadpool has been officially announced and the game is coming. Don't fully believe it yet? Then go ahead and check out the announcement trailer that snuck in at the San Diego Comic Con last week. Hopefully that will prove more to you. Don't be too surprised with the lack of any real substance being shown here though. Read More...

E3 2012 Impressions: Tomb Raider
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of June 2012 - 01:51 AM ]
Here we go for round two of the major showing of the Tomb Raider reboot and still nothing playable at E3 2012. While there was nothing playable on the show floor, there was a nice little demonstration behind the scenes that was all game play. The only caveat was that we were only allowed to sit and watch. Even with that being the case, I do have to say I was blown away with what I saw even though some of the game play mechanics seemed a bit off in terms of making sense in the world. If you've seen the cross roads trailer (see below) then you also got to see a bit of what we press did backstage. Read More...
