If you are still upset that Rise Of The Tomb Raider will only be hitting one console next year then let's have a good look at Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris as that is supposed to be the alternative set up for PS4 and PC players in the interim. While not exclusive to those platforms, Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris is coming to Xbox One too, it is something for all non-Xbox players to dig into and help fund other versions of Rise Of The Tomb Raider. I'm still not sure how that makes any economical bonuses but it is something that we are all going to have to live with. I guess we need to start dealing with that.
So what is Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris for all of those out of the loop there? Plain and simple it is another platformer game in the same vein as Lara Croft And The Guardian Of Light only this time we can have up to four players in co-op instead of two. We get two god-like beings and another character that is like Lara Croft added to the titular character to run around and collect 'loot' through many levels. Each of those levels being dynamically generated based on the number of players at that so there is no need to play with friends if you don't want to.
That is really the short and dirty version of Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris though. Good news for you though as we have the latest developer diary just a few mouse wheels lower. The great people behind the game have a bit more info than what I provided here as well as a whole load of gameplay for Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris. Even if it doesn't sound like your kind of game I'd still say you should check it out as it does add a lot more to the mix than before and looks more and more like Gauntlet from the arcade days of yore. That and it is the only Tomb Raider fix non-Xbox players are going to have for the next few years as it comes out on December 9th of this year and should give hours of play until the larger title lands for us all.
