Goro Truly Lives On In Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
We had out first real look at the Goro DLC for Mortal Kombat X and it is all about the Punch Walk If you were not too busy over this Easter weekend then you would have been in for another Mortal Kombat X treat. The first gameplay for Goro was shown off during an Amazon All Access event. More than just Goro was shown off during the five hour stream with NetherRealm and Amazon via Twitch but let's face it; Goro is what everyone was excited to see as the rest of the characters that are to be shown off for Mortal Kombat X will be coming in the next week leading up to the April 14th launch. That is if you don't think that there will be more surprises after Mortal Kombat X launches. While we didn't get a good breakdown of all of Goro's moves and variations in Mortal Kombat X, we did at least get their descriptions as well as a shit ton of gameplay showing off how Goro could be completely overpowered in Mortal Kombat X. This Week In Video Games 3/30/15 — 4/3/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of April 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Let's all celebrate as we have survived yet another April Fool's day in the video game industry. I will say that this one was a bit more lackluster than any in year's past but I'll take it. None the less we were still able to bring you a plethora of video game news through the week although again Mortal Kombat X seemed to dominate the legitimate news of the April Fool's week. If it wasn't for that we would have only had the Game Of Thrones review and the little bit for the Call Of Duty DLC and Batman: Arkham Knight. I guess we can't be upset with that as it kept the real news flowing… This week in video game news did have a few interesting questions pop up. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of April 2015 - 09:01 PM ]
The first bit of actual game play for Mortal Kombat X Mobile and details have been recently shown off We still have a little more time before we can dig into Mortal Kombat X Mobile. As of right now there has yet to be a release date for the free mobile title that will link into Mortal Kombat X proper but it has been stated sometime shortly after the April 14th launch of that title. What we do have though is a bit more on Mortal Kombat X Mobile and what we can expect to be different from the Injustice tie-in mobile game and this one. You can see all of this lower down the page from the latest Kombat Kast but here is a quicker breakdown for you. Read More...

Almost All Of The Mortal Kombat X Characters Have Been Revealed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
In the latest Kombat Kast for Mortal Kombat X we were shown almost all of the characters and their variations The headline here may seem a bit odd as we do have our first full look at the Mortal Kombat X character select screen with no empty spots anymore. The roster has been fully shown here at least in the terms of core characters but as we all know, NetherRealm is working on DLC and hinted at other characters making a return to Mortal Kombat X as well. Would it be safe to assume that the DLC or other characters will show up as a second menu under Goro similar to Mortal Kombat 9? I mean they have to display them somehow right? Read More...

Grand Theft Auto V Has Never Looked This Good Before
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of April 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Grand Theft Auto V on the PC running at 60fps has been released for our viewing pleasure Just when you thought you've seen the best for Grand Theft Auto V Rockstar brings you back in. This time we have a nice long look at how the game is going to look when running at the best settings on the PC version of the game. I though the PS4 and Xbox One editions of Grand Theft Auto V looked out of this world but I am starting to see why PC gaming is such a huge thing. If only it wasn't so expensive and had some of our favorite franchises available. Read More...

Not Long Until Final Fantasy X/X2 Brings The Dress Sphere To PS4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of April 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
We have a new trailer for Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X2's remastered edition coming for the PS4 this May It's been over a year since we had Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X2's HD remaster released on the PS3. Now we are about two months out from having the Dress Sphere gracing the PS4 with the HD remasters coming out this May. Square Enix sure knows how to keep a franchise rolling when it wasn't even supposed to exist well after the first title. I know I am glad for it but I wish it was an HD remaster of Final Fantasy VI instead but that is still a pipe dream for now… Anyways, we have a new look at the HD remasters for Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X2 for the PS4. It's Time To Meet The Briggs Family In Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Mortal Kombat X has been released and this one shows off Jackson and Jacqueline Briggs perfectly Either we have one crazy elaborate April Fool's joke for Mortal Kombat X or some European outlet released a new trailer for the game a little bit early. My bet is going on the latter here but you never know. What we do know is that the following trailer does officially show of Jax in action for Mortal Kombat X. Like I said, unless NetherRealm is running some huge joke here since we've already seen him in Kombat already then we can add one more to the already mind-bogglingly huge list of Kombatants for Mortal Kombat X. Mortal Kombat X will feature what is called "Easy Fatalities" as well as let you try the DLC characters in Towers Mode It looks like Mortal Kombat X is getting two more features just for this version of the franchise that we have yet to see before. If you are an avid watcher of the Kombat Kast that NetherRealm has been doing almost every Friday up until now then you may have heard about Easy Fatalities. That's one new feature coming just for Mortal Kombat X. The other is that there will be challenge towers that feature DLC characters that you can play through even if you don't own the character outside of the tower. Read More...

Looks Like There Are Bad Batches Of Antizin In Dying Light
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 31st of March 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Techland does April Fool's right with a nice little joke added in for Dying Light for the one day only Tomorrow is a date that I usually loath but it looks like Dying Light is going to be giving us all something to enjoy instead of the normal BS of April Fool's day. It looks like the next patch, which will be free to all for one day only, will completely alter some of the stats of your character in the game. It looks like instead of making some elaborate hoax, Techland is taking the joke and giving it to us in the way of crazy super-strength in Dying Light. Technically all of us can be superheroes in the game and not just bad-ass parkour runners. Read More...

Round Two For Those Exo Zombies In Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 30th of March 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new trailer for the second part of Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's Exo Zombie mode has been released and it offers quite a punch and surprise The next major DLC for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare is just around the bend here and it looks like there is going to be a huge addition to the Exo Zombies mode that was part of the first pack. This part being called Infection and all part of the Ascendance pack that will be out tomorrow (3/31) on Xbox Live. Other platforms will be in short order of course but hopefully you have that Season Pass for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare so no matter what you won't have to worry about the dates outside of when you are going to get to play all of the new DLC. Time To Spoil The First 26 Minutes Of Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 30th of March 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The first 26 minutes or so of Mortal Kombat X's story mode has been released online for all of us to spoil the game with It looks like the internet couldn't wait another two weeks for Mortal Kombat X to land as we now have what looks like the GDC demo that was shown to select press during the event. I am talking the whole 26 minute long section of the story that NetherRealm has shown a small section for already but in this case we have a whole lot more. Pretty much it looks like the entire first chapter of Mortal Kombat X and the entire outlying story that goes along with it. Read More...

Erron Black Is Now Kompletely Konfirmed For Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of March 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
More characters have been shown off for Mortal Kombat X via there most recent Kombat Kast and now we finally have Erron Black of the comic book fame Yet another character that was speculated and had small glimpses of before in Mortal Kombat X proper and now we have a full view of Erron Black from the comic book for the game. He feels like one of the worst kept secrets for the game from NetherRealm Studios but he still looks amazing and like a fun addition to franchise. Now we are at a high level of characters for Mortal Kombat X and I have a feeling that we still have quite a few more in the mix to come. Read More...
