Far Cry 5 New teaser trailers for Far Cry 5 have popped up online and all point to the location with Far Cry 5 getting a full trailer by week's end We've only barely caught wind that Far Cry 5 is coming before the end of the fiscal year and now it looks like the date for that could be a lot closer than we thought. No, we don't have a release date for the game just yet, but Ubisoft is teasing it pretty hard right now with a full blown trailer promised by the end of the week. Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week What a week in video games this has been. I personally thought that it was going to be another of the slow weeks given the proximity of the big E3 just about to hit us but then all of those developers and publishers opted to hit us with some really great stuff. I'm still reeling in the fact that South Park: The Fractured But Whole has an official release date and that we will be seeing the next Assassin's Creed title before the end of the fiscal year. Life Is Strange A new Life Is Strange title has just been confirmed to be on the way but no details on if it is a sequel to Life Is Strange or just in the same setting Life Is Strange was a sleeper hit for me and it makes me sad to say that I have still not played all the way through the whole game as of yet. Not from lack of want to see what DONTNOD crafted for us but, ironically, it comes down to time. I've made it through the first few episodes of Life Is Strange so far and I've enjoyed every minute of it and it is top of the backlog queue for certain. Read More...

Star Wars With Star Wars Battlefront II going into a story on the side of the Empire, the team for this new Star Wars goes into how they are going to make it exciting It caught a lot of attentions when it was announced that Star Wars Battlefront II was going to be talking the story to the side of the Empire in the overall story by following along the exploits of Imperial Commander Iden Versio. I know it caught my attentions even though there are a lot of fans that wished DICE would just pump out another title in the vein of the established heroes in the universe. I'm sure that EA would have liked to go the safe route with Star Wars Battlefront II but I'm seeing it as something that will truly shine when it launches on November 17th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Darksiders More updates on Darksiders III have been revealed alongside some new, amazing looking Darksiders III concept art to flesh out the world We had some interesting updates for Darksiders III earlier in the week and here we go again with even more. Not only more but a whole lot of new looks at the game and just how Gunfire Games has taken the original franchise from THQ Nordic and altered it and evolved it into something fitting for the current generation of gamers but to keep up with the changing times. That and we have a look at more concept art for Darksiders III to give us a clue into what we could expect when the game does launch on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Shadow Of War A new trailer for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War has just dropped and it gives us a glimpse of the other lands Shadow Of War will have to offer us all It's been a nice little bit since we had something new for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War and now we get to come at you with an open-world kind of trailer to look at. It's not the kind that you would assume with all of the other open-world trailers we get, but this one shows off more of the fighting as well as a few of the new places that Monolith Productions has put together for us to explore so it isn't all Mordor and the surrounding areas. South Park A new release date for South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been set and it looks like we'll be back in South Park farting on everyone this October It looks like South Park: The Fractured But Whole may be just in sight now as it looks like we have a new release date for the game to look forward to. Unless it is hit with any further delays, it looks like Ubisoft is planning to bring us this game finally on October 17th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Assassin’s Creed With all of the recent Assassin’s Creed rumors floating around, it looks like Ubisoft has confirmed we'll see Assassin’s Creed & others this fiscal year While none of this will seem exactly new given all of the recent leaks, but it looks like the next Assassin’s Creed title is slated to be out here soon-ish with more information coming to us by E3 this year. Not only that title though, but many others from Ubisoft like South Park: The Fractured But Whole and Far Cry 5. Darksiders Recently we had some gameplay for Darksiders III to look at and now we have some context for what it all means for Darksiders III and moving forward A little while back we had the announcement for Darksiders III and that was followed up pretty quickly with some of the first gameplay footage for the game to show it all off more than a cinematic trailer. While it was good to see where Gunfire Games was at with the game, it was not given much context and left a lot of things out there that, in my opinion, seemed to harm the franchise. Call Of Duty We have gameplay for the Call Of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles to show how all these classic Call Of Duty maps have been updated It's been a pretty quiet turnaround from announcement to release for Call Of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles as it hits the PS4 here on Tuesday the 16th here. We've had a quick overview of what will be coming with the game and just what Treyarch has done to bring it to us but most of it hasn't shown off how all of these maps have been re-mastered for the bundle here. Granted it's only been a week since we heard about it all, but now we get to see just how those old Call Of Duty maps have been updated to give us a new Zombies experience if we've missed it or out over the last few years. Injustice 2 More of the premier skins for Injustice 2 have been spotted out there in the world and we see more Injustice 2 characters shown off Only a few more sleep cycles until we all get to dive into the console version of Injustice 2 and see what hasn't been shown off to us just yet. We've been getting a lot of promises out of NetherRealm Studios that there is still a whole lot that we have not seen yet and this includes premier skins in the mix. These are the special skins in Injustice 2 that will completely alter the look and sound of one of the core characters into something completely new. Total War Not long ago it was announced that Total War: Warhammer II was coming and now we have a look at some in-game footage for Total War: Warhammer II with a new race of lizardmen Back in March we all caught wind of Total War: Warhammer II coming to our PCs sometime in 2017 but it was all done in a cinematic trailer that didn't do much but show us that the game was coming and to expect more. No slight to Creative Assembly for what they gave us, but I know I am not a fan of just cinematic trailers and then nothing to go one from there. Paragon The next character to join the fight of Paragon has been shown off and looks to add a lot of flair to Paragon in the coming week There has been so much going on in gaming recently that I've almost forgot about Paragon and all of the new heroes that are coming to the game. Here we are with yet another on that is coming to the game here on May 16th and she looks to add a whole lot of flair to Epic Games' MOBA title on the PC and PS4. At least as much flair that we can expect in Paragon but it does look like a page was taken from the most recent inFAMOUS title when it comes to powers and abilities. Crash Bandicoot Two new videos for the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy have popped up to give us a feel for how the original Crash Bandicoot games have been updated So far we've seen what the updates for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will look like and how some of the levels have been altered to handle better and not just look better. We are talking some very old games here that Vicarious Visions is bringing back to us and it isn't something as easy as a texture swap to get the levels and characters looking as they do on the PS4. Some gamers out there don't have a good frame of reference though for where Crash Bandicoot is coming from and what has truly gone into the update that Activision is bringing us. Read More...
