New York City Will Be Our Open Playground In Spider-Man
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of August 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Spider-Man A new video for the upcoming Spider-Man game is here to show us more of the in-game city we will be swinging around as Spider-Man Just as we thought we were not going to be seeing more of Spider-Man before its launch on September 7th, here we go with just a little more. Not much more as there is still a lot hidden away by Insomniac Games, but more in the way of the location and world we will be swinging around in. Anyone who knows Spider-Man, in general, knows we will be based in New York City and that means there should be a lot of iconic buildings and structures to keep an eye out for in the game. Well, it does not mean it but it is something we should do as we are swinging around with our PS4 controllers. Read More...

Silence Will Ring The Loudest In The Quiet Man
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of August 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
The Quiet Man New details for The Quiet Man are here as well as a look at how The Quiet Man will blend live-action and CG in this action game We finally have some solid details on The Quiet Man after the title was announced during E3 in a very strange way. All it seemed like we had was a live-action trailer with a little bit of gameplay mixed in. As it turns out, that was actually all "gameplay" from Human Head Studios as they are aiming to bring us a mix of live-action film mixed with third-person action gameplay to seamlessly tell us a nice little narrative. Little in terms of The Quiet Man spanning only one in-game night and only taking us about three hours to complete from start to end. Read More...

A New 3D Adventure Games Is Coming By The Way Of Scarf
by Duke Searles [ Tuesday, 14th of August 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Scarf A new announcement for a game called Scarf is here and it will let us explore a new world using the polymorphic powers of a Scarf among other things Add one more 3D Adventure game to the list to keep an eye on as now we have Scarf to look forward to so we can keep scratching that itch. It always seems to come back in the mix of all of the other larger-scale titles releasing and it looks like Uprising Studios, with the help of THQ Nordic, will be giving us a nice break this Winter or early in 2019 on the PC. That seems like the perfect time for a game called Scarf to release in my book. Seeing how it also looks to handle here, it could be another great break to distract us and get us back into the exploring aspect of video games. Read More...

Spider-Man Launches Into Action With A Little More Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of August 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Spider-Man We have a launch trailer for Spider-Man now and it brings with it some old and new gameplay to look at as we wait for Spider-Man to launch We are getting ever so much closer to the launch of Spider-Man and it looks like we may be nearing the end of the new info and updates and heading more toward the marketing push to sell more copies of the game. There are still a few things left out there that Insomniac Games has yet to reveal, like the collector’s edition statue, but if we have it all up front there will be no big surprises. That is why we have the latest, and maybe last, trailer for Spider-Man to look at here today. Read More...

Even The Water Is Out To Kill You In Green Hell
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of August 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Green Hell A new look at another survival mechanic for Green Hell is here and this one takes us into the dangers and needs for water to survive the Green Hell It should come as no surprise that in a survival game like Green Hell we are going to need to worry about hydration and water. Creepy Jar is aiming for a realistic version of how it would all play out, as realistic as a video game can get, and it makes sense that it would be a resource we would need to manage to stay alive. More so since Green Hell is also using all of those weird and horrible things in the real world to try to end our game like parasites and infections. Again driving home the importance of the water and its mechanics in the game. Read More...

God Of War New Game+ is coming to God Of War so you can relive the epic tale with everything you unlocked already in God Of War, and much more It comes as no surprise, but we now have a release date for the announced New Game+ mode for God Of War. We heard about it a while back from Santa Monica Studio when they were talking about the Photo Mode, but now we know this will hit the PS4 on August 20th. At least for those who have completed one play through of God Of War already. It will only unlock at that point and that should not be too big of a surprise given the name and how the mode works in every other game out there. Read More...

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider’s Opening Minutes Have Crashed Down On Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 7th of August 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider The first fifteen minutes of Shadow Of The Tomb Raider have been released and it looks like we are off to a familiar start in this part of the Tomb Raider saga If you were looking to spoil the opening fifteen minutes to Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, then you have come to the right place as that is what we have here for you today. For some reason Eidos-Montréal has opted to let IGN ruin the opening to the game in the midst of all of the other things we could have received here. It is either that or Square Enix sees this as a great way to get us all amped for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider to launch in just over a month from now. Read More...

Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This week is now over and we can go back to focusing on playing our video games instead of hunting down for any new tidbit for them. At least on our side of the screen here. Not that it has not been exciting hearing more about The Walking Dead and Darksiders III, but it is finally time to let loose. How else are we supposed to get up to date with our South Park DLC and hammering out more for Shadow Of War? Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of August 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange A new teaser trailer for Life Is Strange 2 is here to show us a few of the other changes we may expect when Life Is Strange 2 launches in September After the nice little "demo" for Life Is Strange 2 that we kind of had with Captain Spirit, it looks as if DontNod is back and teasing some other new things coming to the game and IP when it launches on September 27th. It is no secret that the game is taking place in a new location and with some new characters but staying grounded in the universe that was created already. This we all knew, hopefully. Read More...

The Environmental Puzzles Of Darksiders III Have Been Evolving
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 31st of July 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Darksiders Another new look at Darksiders III is here to show us how the puzzles of Darksiders III will feel the same but play out very different It looks as if we all have time for one more video for Darksiders III here and this one takes us into the world of puzzles. Not an actual world in the game, but a look at how the team over at Gunfire Games has been slowly changing and evolving the puzzles in the world for us to try to figure out. Given that the franchise has never been a puzzle only title, it may sound a bit off to here, but in Darksiders III it looks like things have evolved to make more sense in the game world as well as add a new challenge to what we already know. They would need to do this in some way or the franchise would fizzle out before THQ Nordic can get to the fabled fourth chapter of the story… Anyways, we get a new commentary view of some of the old footage we have seen for Darksiders III already.
