Spider-Man
The third and final DLC for Spider-Man has a release date and it looks like even more Spider-Man suits are coming our way for cross-promotion
It has been one hells of a run for Spider-Man on the PS4 so far and it is all coming to an end. At least in terms of DLC as the third and final bit is dropping out there on December 21st now. Unless Insomniac Games has more for us hidden away for a surprise, this will be the end of the cycle as we wait for there to be the most likely sequel. For that, it feels like the team just has to have the want to do it and a new Spider-Man title will be greenlit. I guess we will see on that, but we do not have to wait too long to see how the new DLC will wrap up The City That Never Sleeps.
There has been no hiding the fact that this one will pit Silver Sable back up against Spider-Man in the game's world as it is called Silver Lining. It will bring back Sable International into the mix to blame Spidey for their screw up and where the current DLC story has taken us. Obviously adding in more of the challenges, crimes, and everything else we have seen in the last two bits we have had. Hopefully, it will bring in more story than we have had in the last two, but that will be yet to see. In just over a week and over a nice little holiday break that most of the gaming world will have.
Obviously, we will have more Spider-Man suits in the mix here as we have had with the previous two DLCs. A new Cyborg Suit and an Aaron Aikman Spider-Armor will be added in for us to unlock and find. The third suit will be a bit of cross-promotion as Insomniac Games has opted to bring in a costume from the upcoming Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse costume. Sadly it is not Spider-Ham or Spider-Gwen, but it is a new one that looks to be more of the traditional for the character. You can see those down below and one of them hidden in the trailer that has come with all of this announcement.
Spider-Man — Silver Lining
Silver Sable has stormed back to reclaim her stolen Sable International tech. With New York Police Chief Yuri Watanabe on administrative leave following her exploits against Hammerhead, Spider-Man will have to rely on unlikely allies to keep Marvel’s New York safe.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Silver Lining features new missions, new and upgraded enemy and crime types, along with upgraded Hammerhead bases and storyline quests. There will also be new trophies, challenges, and three new suits for players to unlock.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Silver Lining is available for download on the PlayStation 4 system December 21, 2018.
As you may have seen at the end of our teaser trailer, we have included Peter Parker’s suit from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse into our third DLC chapter. It was a real pleasure working in partnership with Sony Pictures and Marvel to bring this suit to the game — and we can’t wait to see what you do in photo mode with it! You’ll also be able to unlock the Cyborg Spider-Man suit and the Aaron Aikman Spider-Armor.
What do you think about the DLC and story being wrapped up here for Spider-Man? Do you think that we may have other DLC bits in the future or will it just be held off until there is an actual sequel to the game? Are you impressed with these costumes here or were you hoping for some of the different ones to be added in at some point? Let us all know down in the comment and then feel free to discuss. If there is more for Spider-Man, we will bring it to you here. Just be sure to keep swinging by to check out all that we are able to scrape up.
