The more I hear and read about Bayonetta, the more I can appreciate the game for what it is - or what it potentially will be. You've heard how the protagonist essentially becomes more and more naked with different attacks, and how her hair transforms into weapons, and how the game contains "Torture Combos", "Witch Time", and "Non-Stop Climax Action". However, what you don't know is that I actually met with Sega for a game similar in both tone and style which I dubbed Thana-Nude the Pistolista. My game, which contained "Hot Sticky Combination Attacks", "Uncomfortable Whimpering Time", as well as "Parent Angering Immoral Fatal Thrust Strikes", focused on Thana-Nude - a 'death fairy ronin' who fell from the sky after the great seperation of the Lost Tombs of Zeebs in the Seventh Ascenion. Wii owners have often gotten the short stick when it comes to Mature rated shooters. The “kiddy” system has hosted just a handful of M rated games and most of them fail to find a broad audience (think MadWorld and Manhunt 2). However Wii owners yearning for more will finally get a shot in the arm on Nov 10th, when Call of Duty 4, aka Modern Warfare 1, aka the best selling shooter of all time, comes out for the Wii. Left4Dead gets a new expansion this September with "Crash Course", a whole new campaign that connects the end of No Mercy with the beginning of Death Toll. Of all the endings, No Mercy was perhaps the most ambiguous, as how far and where would the helicopter would land. The beginning to Death Toll, which is just as ambiguous, finds our four survivors before a collapsed bridge and a tunnel chock-full-o'-zombies. While it may not give as much story as Left4Dead 2, it certainly hints at the fact that Valve isn't willing to drop development of it's first iteration. Sunday: The Day of Rest...Kind of Given that this day should have been the lazy day, not Saturday, it is no surprise that the final day was even more lazy with a little bit of violence mixed in. Regardless of which side of the fence you sit on the release timing issue of Left4Dead 2, if you are going to San Diego Comic Con, you will want to jump on this. Valve will be showing Left4Dead 2 at Comic Con, as well as make it playable. At E3 they showed us "The Parish." This time around they plan on demonstrating a new campaign ("Swamp Fever") along with some never-before-seen items. After seeing Left4Dead 2 at E3 and going hands-on, I am already extremely hyped on the game and encourage everyone at SDCC to stop by the EA Gaming Lounge in the Gaslamp Hotel and try it out. It's no secret that Blizzard has been playing around and changing dates for the epic release of Star Craft II. Well great news for fans. In a recent interview with the Swedish Press2Play.TV, Star Craft II looks to be having a Holiday release at the end of this year if things are "ready". "We don't like to ship our games unless they're ready, but we're trying our best to get it out before the end of the year" Blizzard admits.
