The Wolf Among Us Is Finally Getting A Season Two Next Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of July 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
The Wolf Among Us The second season for The Wolf Among Us has been confirmed and fans of The Wolf Among Us only had to wait four years for it Well it only took four years since the first season of The Wolf Among Us ended, but now we have a second season to look forward to. Before you try to do all of the math on that and tell me that Telltale Games brought the game out only three years ago, it sadly looks like this second season will not be out until the Summer of 2018 at the earliest. The Wolf Among Us' first season wrapped on July 8th of 2014, so the math is sound again. But enough on all of that and the sadness that will remind us all of. Read More...

Injustice 2's Starfire Is On The Way With Some Others In Tow
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of July 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Injustice 2 The first gameplay look for Injustice 2's Starfire has landed and it looks like more Injustice 2 premiere skins are on the way too Just as we all assumed, during SDCC this year we had another character for Injustice 2 shown off. Not a completely new character in terms of announcement, but we did get to finally see NetherRealm Studios' version of Starfire for the game in action and assumed to be released during August as part of the first Fighter Pack. While it would have been awesome to get solid word on the other characters coming to Injustice 2 in the coming months while out there, it is nice to see that they are working hard on bringing us what has already been announced out there. Even if the Microsoft Store is jumping the gun and letting us know that Black Manta is indeed coming to the game soon. Read More...

The Lich King Is Serving Up SDCC Fun For Hearthstone: Knights Of The Frozen Throne
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of July 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Hearthstone To celebrate the upcoming Hearthstone: Knights Of The Frozen Throne expansion there will be a Hearthstone themed Ice Cream Parlor for fans of the game Yet another video game franchise is getting a nice showing out at SDCC and this one is not only for the new expansion Hearthstone: Knights Of The Frozen Throne, but it is also something much more than just a panel with a few little tidbits of gameplay and features. While I am sure that there will be some of this on site out there, it looks like Blizzard and The Lich King are teaming up to bring fans something they have wanted for a while; a new ice cream shop run by The Lich King. Not exactly what one would have expected for Hearthstone, but you can't knock the fact that they know how to bring the fans something truly run. Read More...

Here's Just How Days Gone's E3 Demo Could Have Also Played Out
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of July 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Days Gone The alternate gameplay demo for Days Gone out of E3 has been released to show everyone just how dynamic Days Gone's world can be Last month we all were treated to some new gameplay for Days Gone out of E3 and for those on the show floor and lucky enough to go behind the closed doors, we also were treated to different gameplay for the game. Different gameplay but still the same mission and area that Bend Studio wanted to show off. All to show off how dynamic the world of Days Gone can be. Read More...

Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War's Voice Cast Is Here & Ready For SDCC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of July 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Shadow Of War It's time to hear who will be joining you on Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War's quest, aurally, & then maybe meet the Shadow Of War VO cast at SDCC We can mark this under the "Not A Huge Surprise" list, but Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War will be at SDCC this year and in tow will also be the voice cast for the game that has recently been announced. Of course some of the people from Monolith Productions will also be there to talk about the game, but given the way SDCC is, it will be more about the big names linked to the game and seeing them. Shadow Of War does seem to be pulling in some of the usual folk but also some other big names from the general acting pool as well. Read More...

Call Of Duty: WWII & Destiny 2 Are Hitting SDCC Hard
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of July 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty Activision is bringing Call Of Duty: WWII, Crash Bandicoot, & Destiny 2 to SDCC with Call Of Duty: WWII Zombies getting shown off We are a week out from SDCC this year and as usual Activision is bringing a whole slew of things to show off with Call Of Duty: WWII and Destiny 2 being on the bill for this year's geekfeast. It makes perfect sense as they have done this almost every year for quite some time even when there are only small announcements and expansions for other games and then the buildup for their big money maker of the year. I guess that is why there is going to be a big announcement for Call Of Duty: WWII out there as the new Nazi Zombie mode is going to be the highlight of it all. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/19/17 — 6/23/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of June 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This was one jam packed week of news and updates for all of our video games now wasn't it? Of course it was. It was the week after E3 and there was still so much more to talk about before sticking a fork in it all until next year or the next big event in the industry. We did get to Call Of Cthulhu, Vampyr, and Werewolf: The Apocalypse to name a few but we also had a chance to bring more to you for Hunt: Showdown. That was all the stuff out of E3 directly too and there were so many more video games to look at and think about. Read More...

Have A Taste Of Beyond Good & Evil 2's In-Engine Tech Demo
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 22nd of June 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Beyond Good & Evil At E3, Beyond Good & Evil 2 was officially announced and now we can see Beyond Good & Evil 2 running in-engine as well as some of the scale of the game's universe There has been one title on a lot of gamer's tongues and minds for quite some time now and with the rumors all over the place it was not that big of a shock that Ubisoft brought out the big guns at E3 and gave the world confirmation that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is going to be a thing. A big thing at that as they gave it a nice, long CG announcement trailer to build all of the hype. Hype that was built so much that I ran into quite a few people on the floor hoping to see some actual gameplay footage for Beyond Good & Evil 2 in some form or another. Read More...

E3 2017 Interview — Werewolf: The Apocalypse
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of June 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Werewolf At E3 I was able to sit down and gather more information on Werewolf: The Apocalypse from Julien Desourteaux. Here's what I was able to get on Werewolf: The Apocalypse. Not all games that I was excited to learn more about at E3 were up and running on the show floor and Werewolf: The Apocalypse was one of them. Any gamer and fan of the franchise would have been excited to see what Cyanide Studio had for the game since it was only announced earlier this year and nothing else had been brought up about it. While Focus Home Interactive was featuring Werewolf: The Apocalypse at E3, there wasn't anything in terms of gameplay and the like out there, but that didn't mean we came up completely dry. E3 2017 Impressions — Extinction
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of June 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Extinction While at E3 2017 I was able to see Extinction in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Extinction From E3. Extinction was a title before E3 that had a pretty quick announcement and then turnaround to show off a bit more of the game. This would be the action-adventure, giant ogre killing title that we saw at the beginning of June from Iron Galaxy. You know the one hopefully. If not, don't worry as we were able to check out Extinction out at E3 so we could get a bit more familiar with this title before it hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in the near future. E3 2017 Impressions — Vampyr
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of June 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Vampyr While at E3 2017 I was able to see Vampyr in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Vampyr From E3. We were all promised more for Vampyr at E3 this year and we were not let down. Even the bit that was shown off to the public out there was still a massive chunk of what DontNod has cooked up for us all. You can see some of that gameplay further down but it was only a small slice of what I was able to check out for Vampyr while on the show floor. While we may not have been able to pry out a solid release date in November for the game, Focus Home Interactive still has that on lock, we did get to see a lot more for this open-world horror title coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC where all of your killing choices in the game will have some form of effect on the rest of the world. E3 2017 Impressions — Hunt: Showdown
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of June 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Hunt While at E3 I was able to see Hunt: Showdown in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Hunt: Showdown. It's a bit odd but downright amazing that three years ago I was here to tell you all about a title called Hunt: Horrors Of The Gilded Age and just how amazing it looked and how excited I was for it. Then there wasn't a single word on it and Crytek went through a few shakeups and it was thought to be lost to the games of E3 that never came. Now we jump to this year and after having a small announcement, I was able to see Hunt: Showdown rise up from the ashes that was the other title and get me excited for the game again to come to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. E3 2017 Impressions — Call Of Cthulhu
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 19th of June 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu While at E3 I was able to see Call Of Cthulhu in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Call Of Cthulhu. There was a small list of titles at E3 that I desperately wanted to go hands on with at E3 and Call Of Cthulhu was one of those titles. I was so ever hopefully that Cyanide Studios would have had a nice little slice of the game out there to be played on the PS4, Xbox One, or PC but sadly it was not. That is not to say that Focus Home Interactive didn't put together a nice booth and experience for Call Of Cthulhu though and that in turn led to a lot of new information and details for the gameplay and scope of the game to finally get out there. I wish I could show you more gameplay than what we had for the public out at E3, but for now here's what we have for it all as well as more on the ins and outs of the game. Read More...

E3 Hands On — Call Of Duty: WWII
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 19th of June 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty While at E3 I was able to see Call Of Duty: WWII in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Call Of Duty: WWII. As with every year, one of the big titles on the show floor is in the Call Of Duty and given that they are "going back to their roots" it makes sense that WWII would also be making a huge showing this year at E3. Especially since last year Activision skipped the big show and only gave a little taste of things out the fans and press. Now that Sledgehammer Games has put a lot of time and effort into Call Of Duty: WWII it makes sense that we'd get the usual flair of it all at E3 as well as a taste of the multiplayer experience that will be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 3rd this year.
