Open Beta For Warhammer Online Given If you are one of those people who really wanted in to the beta for the new Warhammer Online game, but were shafted. Well all hope is not lost. Kind of. Well, at least for a week or two before the game goes gold. Let me explain, or you can skip down to the release for this. If you pre-order the game through select retailers, they are listed on the site, you can get into the public beta for the game on September 7th. A few weeks before the release date of the 18th of September. Read More...

PS3 Music Peripheral Compatibility Update So the Rock Band/Guitar Hero debate will never end. The one where no one wants to say they are equal. Think about it, I'm sure you know a fan boy for one format or the other. I know I do. Well soon, Sony will be taking steps to bring these two giants together. Well a bit. Even include for some of their other less know or popular music titles coming out. Read More...

LittleBigPlanet Pre-Order Info So if you haven't heard, there are some cool little extras you get when pre-ordering LittleBigPlanet on the PS3. The original press release kind of made it seem as if you got all five of the exclusive items when you pre-ordered. At least it did to me. Well today they elaborate further on where and what you get when you pre-order. At least with two locations. First location is Amazon. Read More...

Mount & Blade Beta More of a blurb more than news I guess, but I figured I'd let you fans of trying out Betas know about this. Basically, if you like medieval type games, here is the link for Mount & Blade. Oh, and for a bit more, below be ye olde website blurb about the game. "Calradia is a land at war, a land offering great riches and even greater dangers to the adventurers and mercenaries that flock to shed blood on its soil. With unerring courage and a strong sword, an unknown stranger can make a name as a warrior. Lead a band of hardened soldiers, become the lord of several towns and castles, and perhaps one day you may wield the power to overthrow kings and crown new ones at your discretion. Read More...

Google Uses Portal For Programming Competition So we all know that google is a super-computer trying to take over the world, even if there are real humans there working on the machines and systems. At least that is what the beast wants us to believe. Now there is further proof that my tin-foil hat is totally needed for the world. Well somewhat at least. More like, we can watch the best of the best in coding go up for a challenge. Read More...

You Sneaking Monkeys How To Get Into The Home Beta Let it be said that I hate my new work arrangements. Hence why my news bits have been a bit sparse. Should be fixed soon. But enough about me. What is it I say about getting into this other exclusive beta for the PS3? Well, it seems Sony is expanding out their user base for this new service. Not to mention the length of Beta before the public beta hits. I count 2 years in the making now. Read More...

Final Fantasy XIII Exhibition Of Original Drawings So on top of announcing the fact that there is going to be a demo for the game come this March, another bit that was featured at the DKΣ3713 event was some of the concept work for the new FF game. In particular, three of the summons and a few locations in the game. Not the best resolution that was available, but it is something for all of us fanboys/girls to drool over while we wait for the demo and release of the game. Here are some of the concepts for Ifrit, Sheva and Carbunkle. Read More...

Final Fantasy XIII Demo Yes, you read the above title right. There will be a demo for Square-Enix's new Final Fantasy out early next year. How early? Well it looks like March 9th will be the magical date. At least this is what was announced at a private event at DKΣ3713. On top of all that, there will be new footage for the other games coming out in the series as well. I'm talking FFXIII Versus and FXIII Agito here. There are a few catches though... Read More...

VIDEO GAMES LIVE ALBUM DEBUTS AT #10 ON THE BILLBOARD CHARTS! So I was going to write another review on the Comic Con Video Games Live show, but I saw this and thought this was a better way to say how cool it was. I will point out that it is a different show depending on where you see it, the show in San Diego had fireworks and a different game they played on stage. Not to mention the Cos-Play of the people adding to the whole thing. Pics are below. Read More...

American McGee's Grimm: A Boy Learns What Fear Is I know I like free stuff. I also like vidja games. What could be better than Free Vidja Games? Right? Well I guess ones about a twisted version of the fairy tales we all grew to love. Even though the originals were twisted in the first place, but I digest... It would seem that today marks the first release of the new American McGee game, Grimm. You may know his work for twisting up Alice in Wonderland a few years back. Read More...

PixelJunk Eden: Oh Glorious Gardens...and Did We Mention Trophies? So it looks like last night on the PSBlog, a little bit was posted on the new PSN game PixelJunk Eden. To be perfectly honest, I haven't tried the first version of this game and most likely won't try this one. Just doesn't look like my kind of game. But I thought it was worth a mention. Now, I bet you are thinking to yourself "Why the fuck even bring this up then? Read More...

Zero Punctuation Take On E3 Since I am a man of my word and like to tell you all about things that most of you probably know about, I'll be hitting this up as they get updated as well. The quick and dirty of it, is this guy does some great reviews and rants about games today. Granted, I have only seen on review where he praise the game 100%, but it always good for a laugh and see what others think. This week's video is about how bad this year's E3 was. Boy do I agree with most of the points here. Read More...

The Guild: DVD Being a man of my word *best Joker Impression*, on two fronts, I had to post something about this great Web series as well as their new DVD on sale at Comic Con, or you can get as of 8/1. First, I got asked by people here to make sure that the actors of the show knew about our site here. After three days of stalking them (pics below), I was having issues getting proper representation for the site, but I hooked them up with a professional implementation of advertisement. The other part, I told Felicia, Vincent and Sandeep that I would give them some webtime. Read More...

Star Trek Online So I frequent the Cryptic Studios stuff now and again, forums and booths at conventions. Hell, on Saturday, I even went to their VIP party for City of Heroes players and Devs. Please don't ask how it was. But this was something that kind of caught me off guard. In fact, I didn't know it was under their belt until today when they turned on their interwebs for the game sit and posted screen shots. The game? Well the title said it, Star Trek Online. Rise Of The Argonauts First let me thank Mythicgriffon for hooking up this video as well as being there when we did our own little interview with this same guy. He was very knowledgeable about a lot of things and nice enough to entertain us for about an hour or so. No more gilding the lilly though. I brought this up a while back when I first heard about this game from Codemasters. It was so cool to see another of the few games out there that revolve around Greek religion and stories.
