It's Time For Mortal Kombat!

It is official. Mortal Kombat has gone gold. We no longer have to worry about major delays or cancelations. Not that we were at all. It is no Duke Nukem Forever or anything. Am I right? Huh? Huh…? Now as we wait for April 19th to slowly work its way to us, we get to pass the time looking at screens and videos. That is if you have played the demo to death since it came out. Armor progression is probably one of the most important factors in MMO's to date. It establishes your identity, your rank, your skill and possibly your luck, all just because your robe of +10 to "sexterity" is harder to get than anyone else. Star Wars: The Old Republic has given us a quick look into armor progression of the Jedi Knight and all I can say is "the force is strong with this one." The Unofficial Character Roster For Mortal Kombat

So if you had any questions on exactly who is going to be in Mortal Kombat, you may be able to get a look now as it may have been leaked out. As of this article, there has been no word on how official this image and roster is so do not get overly excited as of yet. I mean it does look pretty spot on from all the videos and announcements, not to mention it would be an amazing fake, but I'm waiting for word from Warner Bros. or NetherRealm first. Duke Nukem Delayed Again: Much Shorter This Time

Duke Nukem Forever being delayed again is like a nerd with a pocket protector - you know the joke, everyone knows the joke and the best you can muster is a half-hearted smile in one corner of your mouth in recognition the joke even existed. So, the fact 2K and Gearbox went with a more tongue-in-cheek approach to the announcement shows a true effort in good faith to the game and the franchise as a whole. Time To See How Kratos Will Handle The Mortal Kombat Universe

PS3 Mortal Kombat fans have been teased too long with the fact that Kratos will be a console exclusive character. Teased with the knowledge, but nothing as far as substantial in-game footage. That is until now as there is a new trailer out showing some of his moves and animations. Color me impressed with this new view of the character. From the looks of trailer, it is fully upgraded Kratos from God of War III that is know fighting against mortals for the pleasure of Shao Kahn and himself. At least that would be the only reason I can see him fighting in the tournament as Kratos really doesn't seem to care what happens to his world. Read More...

Prey 2 Live Action Trailer

Bethesda Softworks announced this week Prey 2, and the teaser will make you think twice about putting your cell phone on airplane mode. Prey, which was released back in July of 2006, was originally developed by Human Head Studios. Prey followed the sci-fi adventures of Cherokee Domasi "Tommy" Tawodi. The general story was that he, along with Girlfriend and Grandfather, were beamed up to an alien ship known only as The Sphere. The Sphere has this whole Galactacus complex, as it devours all materials, living or inanimate from our tiny blue planet. Read More...

The E.Nigmas Of Batman: Arkham City

In Batman: Arkham Asylum the Riddler had kind of a small role, even though it was one of the larger side missions in the game. It makes sense when you think about the fact that he didn't physically show up at all in the game. This looks like something that Rocksteady is going to be changing when it comes to Arkham City. Batman Catches The Armed Man In Arkham City, Also A Release Date

Mortal Kombat Has A New Challenge For You

Man we should have seen this coming. The "Test Your Might" mini-games of Mortal Kombat fame are coming with the new games launch. Only this time they are way more detailed and quite a few more than I remember. Like almost 299 more challenges than I remember from previous versions of the franchise I have played. I clearly remember only the block breaking challenges of the old arcade versions so please excuse if I don't know of any others. Modern Warfare 3 May Have Been A Hoax, But Battlefield 3 Is Not

Could We Be Seeing Modern Warfare 3 At GDC?

So we are either going to get a look at the next billion dollar game from Activision or one of the best pranks run on fans of the Modern Warfare franchise. A new site, findmakarov.com, has begun to be passed around the net. It doesn't feature anything stating Modern Warfare 3 on it but it does have a countdown with the franchise know font face. Not to mention the site name does link back to the "villain" of Modern Warfare 2. In all actuality, this is most likely a nice little tease for what Activision is going to show off at GDC. Id's Rage Becomes Untethered With A New Trailer & Release Date

By Matt Waitt Id Software gives us a nice little reminder that their first new IP in over ten years is coming out. That IP being Rage. This new trailer shows off some extremely beautiful landscapes of destruction as well as some promising action scenes. All set to the tune of an original song titled “Burning Jacob’s Ladder” by singer Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees, Queens of the Stone Age, Gutter Twins).
