Microsoft's Project Natal To Be Priced At $149
by Brian Goodman [ Thursday, 27th of May 2010 - 11:32 PM ]
Accoriding to a report from Edge-Online today Microsoft has set a $149 price tag on its upcoming motion capture camera dubbed "Project Natal". This price is three times the original rumored price of $49. To keep it relative the anticipated pricepoint of Sony's similar upcoming hardware release "move" is rumored to be only $99. Will Microsoft sell the millions of units to the casual and non-traditional gaming crowd that it anticipates at this price point? Will Sony destroy any possibility of success with its newly announced 31% of the console market and its significantly cheaper "Move"? Read More...

Milking Kratos The Dairy Bastard
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of May 2010 - 08:29 PM ]
There is no dispute that God of War is one of the top grossing games that is exclusive to the Sony PlayStation. Just as there is no dispute that I am one of the world's largest fans of the franchise. With large franchises, of course, there is always going to be merchandising and off-shoots to keep the power house rolling. God of War is not being any different with PSP and mobile game offshoots, toys, clothes and even an awesome new comic book. But when is there going to be enough? Read More...

It Is Official, LittleBigPlanet 2 Revealed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of May 2010 - 05:36 PM ]
It looks like the time has come. The time to wheel out the next big thing to come along with Sony's Move. No, not the ever-pushed-off US version of the Eye Pet, but the sequel to end all sequels, until another sequel comes out. Officially now, LittleBigPlanet 2 has been announced and with it came along with a little fun trailer. A trailer to show off some of the upgrades that have been done to their game platform and how a whole new generation of banned levels can look and feel. I will say that some of the promises shown and talked about in this reveal trailer are kind of interesting and all huge steps for those that dream to be level designers to show off their skills. They have created a “Win a Trip to E3 2010” contest and all they want you to do is create an open letter video to Kevin Butler, you know everyone favorite fictional Playstation VP in the commercials. Here is the guideline: Each video should begin with the phrase “Dear Playstation” Include your take on Kevin Butler's ever-changing title Make sure you include your own name and title (e.g John Smith, Desperate Fan) Keep your submissions brief and to the point (30 seconds or less) Video can be about anything Playstation related All content must be original – no copyrighted music, video, pictures, etc. Read More...

The Ghost Of Sparta Returns To The PSP
by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 4th of May 2010 - 08:38 PM ]
With the success of God of War III, Sony has just announced that our favorite Spartan will be making his return to the Sony PSP and PSPgo in God of War: Ghost of Sparta. Why are they making another God of War game you may ask? Probably going to kill more Greek Gods. God of War: Chains of Olympus is still the highest rated PSP title of all-time according to So what is in store for us this time around. Read More...

by Binh Nguyen [ Wednesday, 7th of April 2010 - 03:00 PM ]
With E3 slowly getting closer and closer, a surprise announcement last week from Microsoft will kick E3 off early on a Sunday for Project Natal. Not to be left behind, today Sony has told everyone to Save The Date for June 15th in Los Angeles, CA as to when they will be revealing their latest stuff this year. With Microsoft and Sony all set with their conference date it is all up for Nintendo to inform us when they will be holding their conference so we all can see their latest handheld, the 3DS. My Take: I wonder what they will reveal at the conference this year. Read More...

Review: Groovin' Blocks
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 31st of March 2010 - 05:55 PM ]
Finally another WiiWare game has made the hop from the smaller, power-wise, console to a larger one. I'm talking Wii to PS3 here. Which can be a huge step for some games to be ported over. The game in question here is Groovin' Blocks from Empty Clip Studios, a nice little Dr. Mario style game with a strong bass line to back up the gameplay. Back it up so much as it is part of the game play. How does the port over compare, well read on my curious friend. Read More...

Hackers Ruin The PS3 For Everyone?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of March 2010 - 08:17 PM ]
The following words are my own opinions and not those of AggroGamer and its staff. A month or two ago, it was announced that someone had figured out how to crack the PS3 to allow for home-brews and "pirated"/backed up PS2 and PS3 games to be played on the system. It was not explained how for a week or two after the announcement that it could be done in a way that could not be patched. But this isn't the news here. The news here is that Sony, after stating it wouldn't, is going to force "Fat" PS3 owners to update so they can no longer install another OS on the system. Read More...

Little IncrediBig Planet
by Kevin [ Tuesday, 30th of March 2010 - 06:03 PM ]
There are few things more disarmingly cute than the sack population of LittleBigPlanet. They have had many "guests" come through their game, including the Pirates of the Carribean, the comedic antics of the Ghostbusters, the vengeance soaked Ezio from Assassin's Creed II, the borderline confusing narrative prowess of the Watchmen, the grizzled veterans of the Metal Gear Solid series, and many more. Well, coming April 8th Pixar is diving into the fray with The Incredibles pack for the LittleBigStore. The Playstation Blog proclaims, fairly proudly that, "This huge pack features NINE costumes: all of The Incredibles family (including a “Retro” Mr. Read More...

Mini Review: The Heavy Rain Chronicles: The Taxidermist
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of March 2010 - 08:26 PM ]
So you played through Heavy Rain and seen all the endings, now what do you do? You could play around and just keep killing the hooker or store clerk for fun. You could try to find other ways to see Ethan off himself if Shaun dies. You could even replay the sex scene, that got no negative mention in the media, and see if you can glitch Madison to stay naked. Just to name a few things to do. You could do one of those options. Kratos Is The Origami Killer?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of March 2010 - 06:10 PM ]
So God of War III has not even been out for three days and Sony Santa Monica already has yet another viral advertising campaign under way. Or at least it seems that way from the cryptic website that you are sent to when you finally Platinum God Of War III. It is titled nothing more than Spartans Stand Tall. What this could be is still up in the air. The only details being the splash page that shows a flash video loop of rain falling on what looks like Styx, the river not the band. Read More...

Tell Sony What You Really Think
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of March 2010 - 09:55 PM ]
Haven't you always wanted to tell one of the three major console companies what you think? At least where it will actually get read by more than just fans of your blog or site. What if there was a real place to tell them you thoughts and wants? Would you be able to express yourself correctly and get your point across? Well you are in luck. Over at the Sony PlayStation Blog, they are letting users do just that. Read More...

Just as promised, we have the trailer for The Last Titan Standing. A short little 16 second trailer showing very little of what actually went on within the show. Not to mention a reminder about watching the full competition tonight (3/15/10) on Spike TV. So please take a gander at it. Now that you have gandered, are you a bit more excited? Yes, it looks cheesy. Yes, it looks another "reality show. Read More...

Who Is The Last Titan Standing?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of March 2010 - 07:45 PM ]
A few weeks ago Spike TV posed this question to God of War fans all over North America with a casting call for their show God of War: The Last Titan Standing. A show that was designed to place true God of War fans into the action of the game by recreating some challenges Kratos endured in his epic story. On top of the challenges, this enabled these lucky individuals to be amongst the first in the world - sans media and the developers - to actually play God of War III. A "real" test to show who is the world's largest God of War fan out of a selected 10 people. Read More...
