We're Going to be taking the Magic: The Gathering Multiverse places player have never seen” John was not the only one that had something to say about the upcoming title. Read More...

Review: Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time
by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 4th of November 2009 - 01:59 PM ]
Ratchet and Clank has enjoyed a really good run these past 7 years, and A Crack in Time is a great cap to the "future" series. In what may be the final game in the series, Ratchet must rescue Clank from Dr. Nefarious (the villain from Up Your Arsenal, the third game in the series). Before we get in to deep, let's get a quick glance back at the Future trilogy thus far. In Tools of Destruction, an evil tyrant named Tachyon set out to revenge against the Lombax's for destroying his race. This is the first hint we get that Ratchet isn't the last Lombax in the galaxy. Look at it in all of it's Olympian splendor. Doesn't it look sexy. Doesn't it make you want to start humping the shit out of it? Just look at it. Ok, fan boyism over for now. But what you are looking at is the God Of War III Ultimate Edition. A nice little collection that includes quite a bit of extras for us die hard fans that will be willing to shell out $99 to $120 for this edition. No, prices have not been stated yet outside of $99 at GameStop, but you can imagine this is going to be around the asking price for it. Just look at the Modern Warfare one and you can make the comparison. Read More...

Find Your Fortune In Uncharted 2
by Kevin [ Sunday, 11th of October 2009 - 04:14 PM ]
The general consensus of Uncharted 2 is that it's going to be an extraordinary experience with a level of polish that is going to blow us all away. Honestly, I would have been satisfied if they just gave a straight sequel with none of these bells and whistles that they are offering with this sequel - I just enjoyed it that much. Thankfully, no one over at Naughty Dog listened to me and not only are they about to drop one of the most anticipated titles of the year, they are getting together with Sony to award some Fortune Hunter Editions of the game to some lucky gamers (as if we really needed additional reasons to play the demo). For those not in the know, included in this package is the game, exact in-game replica of the Phurba Dagger Artifact and stand, Collectible Art Book and Collector case autographed by Naughty Dog, and a bunch of DLC. Another Gift From The Gods
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of September 2009 - 08:20 PM ]
It had been rumored since the before the official announcement of the God of War Compilation. The inclusion of the God of War III demo on disc with the first two games. Then the announcement came and there was no mention at all. In fact Sony wouldn't even comment on if it was going to be or not. Which left all of us God of War fans wondering if we would get an early play of the game, outside of going to a convention. Well, today, it has been confirmed that the demo we've seen and played at E3, Comic Con, and PAX is totally going to be included on the game disc for the Compilation. A nice little bonus if I do say so. Read More...

Putting PS3 3.0 Through Its Paces
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 8th of September 2009 - 03:09 AM ]
Writing about anything Playstation or Playstation Network (PSN) related is always treading dangerous ground. The fanboys get upset if you write anything detracting and for everyone else, it just isn’t cool or in vogue to write something positive. This article will have a sprinkling of both positives and negatives as I look at the new Playstation 3 firmware update 3.0. Ever since E3 it seems like Sony has finally begun to stop taking itself so seriously and began to have a little fun. Read More...

Making Getting A Job Testing Games A Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of September 2009 - 02:56 PM ]
We all have heard it before. What would be the best job for a gamer? Playing/Testing games is generally the answer. I'm a fan of paid to just live, but hey, that's not going to be likely. Also not the point here. Yesterday (9/3/09), Sony and the SCEA Studios are giving gamers just that chance. The chance to be one of their game testers for at least a year. Not only that, but to be paid to be one of their game testers for a year. Something that is nigh impossible for someone to get into even though they have all the qualifications for it. Read More...

Collecting The God Of Trophies
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 31st of August 2009 - 04:11 PM ]
God Of War® Collection So the rumors were out there. The feedback was out there. Sony listened and is going forth with it. God of War Collection is coming this holiday season. November/December for those of you who may not get our whacking American time frames still. Before my wit of title begin people all a fluster as it has in the past, let me touch on more. Not only are the releasing both God of War and God of War II on a BluRay making it so those without backwards compatible PS3s can enjoy them, but there is so much more. Like remastered it with anti-aliased graphics running at 60 frames per second. Read More...

Welcome Home, Again
by Kevin [ Thursday, 20th of August 2009 - 08:07 PM ]
With all of the news flooding out of the Sony camp a lot of people have been curious to see if the Home service is going to receive any measure of attention. Well, they have heard your cries and have offered up a wealth of information courtesy of the official blog. The list of features are as follows: Universal Game Launching: "You can now launch into any PlayStation 3 game directly from Home. Titles that fully support game launching (like Street Fighter 4 and Far Cry 2) will be identified by separate icons that appear over an avatar's head and will have varying degrees of additional multiplayer functionality built in. Simplified game launching will take you from Home to the start menu of your favorite games with ease. Read More...

New LBP DLC Will Totally Get You Wet
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of August 2009 - 05:05 PM ]
Sack it to Me – the "Big Announcements" Edition You ever hop into the level creator for LittleBigPlanet and feel like there was something missing. Something that stopped you from being able to faithfully recreate the entire game of Super Mario Bros. using their sandbox. Something you couldn't quite place your finger on. Something you had to muddle around with the jet packs a bit to get to work correctly as well as run a blue tint over the entire screen for immersion's sake. Ok, enough of that and on to the point. I Got A Great Big Bow Here
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of August 2009 - 11:32 AM ]
Hades Boss Fight Round 2 So on Monday we were able to give you a nice view of what the Lord of the Dead would be looking like. We've seen him only in a few minor shots in the God of War FMVs before that. But now we get one further peek at how this epic boss/boss fight will look and feel. All of this through some more screen shots from the game and what is being shown at GamesCom. I know it is all Hades vs. Kratos in those shots there, but it still looks amazingly stunning.
