CES 2016 Hands On — Oculus Rift & Oculus Touch
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 11th of January 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Oculus While at CES 2016 I was able to play with the Oculus Rift & Oculus Touch in a more intimate setting than just a video. Here's my take on the Oculus Rift & Oculus Touch Obviously one of the big items around CES 2016 was the Oculus Rift; especially since it went up for pre-order and all of the new details cropped up just at the beginning of the show. That of course led to a whole lot of debate on if the Oculus Rift was going to be worth the $600 price tag out the door or if it was going to be another overpriced gizmo with a lot of buyer's remorse. This led me to take over the job of checking out the hardware of the Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch controllers to see if the price point made sense for where the system is now or if, like I said, it was something that could be left behind. PlayStation Experience Hands On — Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To Check Out Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes; An Interesting Bomb Disposal Title Coming For The Project Morpheus Project Morpheus was on the show floor for the PlayStation Experience. It had a bunch of different tech demos and early games to help show off how cool the tech could be but one game that got a lot more buzz than anything was Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes. Given the demand of the Morpheus at the PSX the line was doubly huge for Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes but I had a chance to sit down and give this cool bomb disposal virtual reality title a few play throughs. Most were on beginner but I did get a chance to play the higher difficulty. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of March 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming. This felt like the most bi-polar week in gaming news in a long while. It all started out rather slow and then we were flooded with all kinds of new stuff to look forward to. The biggest bit of gaming news being with Batman: Arkham Knight's new character and gameplay mechanics; not to mention the huge purchase of Oculus by Facebook. Cyber stalking to a whole new level if things go as was speculated earlier this week. All kinds of crazy stuff here in the gaming world. Read More...

Looks Like We Will Be Able To Facebook Stalk With The Oculus Rift Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of March 2014 - 09:01 PM ]
Facebook is set to purchase Oculus for around two billion dollars. What does this exactly mean though? It was announced yesterday that Facebook has reached an agreement to purchase Oculus VR, the makers of the Oculus Rift headset, for about two billion dollars. Not all in cash mind you. Only $400 million of that will be in "cash" the rest of the $1.6 billion in Facebook stock. That is all upfront as well as $300 million more is offered if Oculus VR can hit certain milestones that are still yet to be defined at the writing of this article. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of March 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new trailer and screen shots for a PC/Oculus Rift title called The Forest have come from the mist. It really reminds me of Don't Starve… Sometimes it really bothers that I miss other amazing looking games like The Forest while covering other titles out there. I am sure it happens all the time as I am just one entity and there is so much going on the wide world of gaming. But I caught it and now it is time to bring you all what I have found and how exciting it looks. So, let us take a look at The Forest. Read More...

Spectre Looks Like Stay Alive But For Real
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 18th of March 2014 - 09:02 PM ]
Here is some new footage of Spectre, a Kickstarter virtual reality horror multiplayer game using the Oculus Rift. Looks like it could be creepy… It's hard to believe that it has only been eight years since the film Stay Alive came out and there really hasn't been a video game made to try and copy it. Even as I write this article I have yet to hear of anything. That was until I heard about a new game called Spectre. Read More...
