The Villain Is Out There In Full Force For Phantom: Covert Ops
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of May 2020 - 09:00 PM ]
Phantom The main villain for Phantom: Covert Ops is here with Phantom grabbing a famed voice actor to bring the character to life Every good video game with a story should have a solid villain for us to be fighting and now we have our first look at the one coming for Phantom: Covert Ops when it hits the various PC VR platforms on June 25th. It might be a bit odd to think about as nDreams has not truly shown off much of a story for the game as of yet and it has been more of a few missions that could be left as that. Now, it looks like Phantom: Covert Ops is going to have a huge story to tell with the VR shooter gameplay and with it comes a huge name in the game to voice said villain. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of April 2020 - 09:00 PM ]
Phantom The release date is set for Phantom: Covert Ops for this June and we have a bit more to see on how these Phantom soldiers will be handling We have a release date now for when we can expect Phantom: Covert Ops to land on the PC VR platforms out there. Well, more on the one platform given the deal that nDreams has with the Oculus but that is neither here nor there. It is not going to change the fact that those looking to go virtual with the stealthy military group that uses kayaks to sneak it will have their chance to do so in June. Specifically, June 25th with that being the release date for Phantom: Covert Ops over there. Read More...

E3 Hands-On — Phantom: Covert Ops
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of June 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Phantom While at E3, I was able to see Phantom: Covert Ops in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Phantom: Covert Ops. This year it felt like there was a lack of VR out at E3, but that does not mean it was not there and it did allow for titles like Phantom: Covert Ops to shine out a bit more than normal. Something that many could easily have looked over on the floor if there were loads of other titles out there. Thankfully, I had a chance to sneak down to nDreams to see just what they had for us this year and it was a nice little stealth VR title where we stay seated in a kayak the whole time. Read More...

Past Cure Is Getting Updated To Flesh Out More Of The Story & Sanity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of July 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Past Cure A major update is coming for Past Cure and it aims to fix some of the big issues that Past Cure came with when it originally launched Maybe you remember, or maybe you do not remember the nice, small title called Past Cure from a few months back. It launched on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC and it seemed to have so much potential but left a lot of reviewers wondering a few things Phantom 8 Studio did in development. You can read that as Past Cure was not the best or worst received title of the time as it seemed to have a few holes in it or something that needed to be fleshed out. That was at least partly my take on it back then and I was hoping that something would be done to push it over into a title everyone needed to play. Read More...

Review — Past Cure
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 22nd of February 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Past Cure We sit down and review Past Cure. A new story-driven supernatural title from a small studio. Here is our review of Past Cure Since first hearing of Past Cure and seeing some of it in action, my interest was piqued and I wanted to know more. It has been this way for a while now and here we go as Phantom 8 Studio has finally finished it off and placed it out there for us to play. It has seemed hard to peg down what genre Past Cure is actually in as it looks to have stealth elements, action elements, and supernatural all mixed in. Other titles have done this as well, of course, but usually, it has been a very straightforward idea behind it that we could all grasp onto. Read More...

Past Cure's Story Gets A Bit Stranger As It Is Detailed Out
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of February 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Past Cure A new story trailer for Past Cure is here and it comes with some new commentary that makes Past Cure's story sound strange but worth the time to look at Leading up to now, we have had some good looks at Past Cure and have been able to gather a bit of the story over time. It is a narrative driven title with all of the fun that comes with that, but it looks like there may be more going on than we knew before. Phantom 8 Studio has not given out all of the details for the story of the game so far, for good reason, but it looks like that is changing a bit with another look at Past Cure. Given that it is still slated to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 23rd, it makes sense that we should start to get more to wrap our brains around for the game. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of January 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Past Cure The release date of Past Cure is slightly further out than before, but after getting to know the team of Past Cure, it makes a bit more sense based on their size We have had some good looks at Past Cure over the recent months and it looks like we will have just over another month to wait to finally get the game. The release date is now set for February 23rd now and it is still heading to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. All of that said, it is still crazy to think that all of this is being done by Phantom 8 Studio with a team of no more than eight people. Read More...

Past Cure We have a new gameplay walkthrough for Past Cure that shows off how stealth and combat will be blended to make our way to the end of Past Cure Up to now we have had some flashy and story filled trailers for Past Cure that more or less gave us the feel for the game that they aimed to do, but none of which showed off the core gameplay we would get to experience. Especially since Phantom 8 Studio has made it clear that there will be a heavy drive for Stealth and Action in the game. With February 2nd not too far off, it would be nice to see just where all of this is headed for Past Cure so we can be fully ready for it all. Read More...
