The Tester Season 3 Is Upon Us

Well this was a little unexpected. Last time it was announced during E3 and was a major thing Sony wanted to bring up. Unless their plan was to use QuakeCon to help the announcement. Then spot on. Batman Really Taking On Jigsaw In Arkham City Now

I do love the new direction that RockSteady has taken The Riddler, my second favorite villain, but I can't seem to look past the close similarities in the characters. They are both geniuses. They both like putting people in death traps. They both have a specific tone and method to their speaking. I guess the only real difference is that the new Riddler does it to prove to the world that he really is the smartest person alive. Anyways, if you haven't picked up on it yet, or skipped to the video, there is a new clip showcasing some of the personality behind The Riddle of Batman: Arkham City. Now if you saw the Sony press conference you might have caught the small bit about a new Star Trek game coming soon with a really cool looking phaser add-on for the Move. There was extremely little shown off there and it seemed like it was just going to be a footnote in the game announcements during the conference. Well we've waited and wondered at what Sony had in store for the NGP and at the Sony Conference most of the details were revealed. We now have the PS Vita coming to stores in the not too distant future to snag our money and keep us gaming when not at home. For those who don't know or have strong logic skills, this is the PSP2 that has been all the rumor for the last year. We were lucky enough to get our hands on a couple of PS Vita's and some of the software coming on or around launch time for the system. E3 2011 Impressions: BioShock Infinite

Hidden deep in the back of the 2K Games booth in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center, we were led into a room that looked like an old hunter's club room - Animal heads on the walls, old fashioned lamps lighting the room and filled wall to wall with plush leather couches. It was as close to an opening in reality to take a step into Columbia (where Bioshock Infinite takes place) as I could imagine without Elizabeth opening a tear and pulling us through. Before I get into the bulk of the game footage we were shown, which consisted mostly of sky rail combat, let me catch some of you up on the story that is the lead up as well as the background. Ruin On The PS Vita

It honestly looks like Torchlight/Diablo, but considering it's on the PS Vita I'm okay with that. This is the style of game the mobile platform was intended. Batman: Arkham City Just Got Sexier

So it looks like the rumor about NOT being able to play as Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City is now busted. Submitted for your consumption, I give you a look at a bit of the game play as Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City. Straight from the horse's mouth, A.K.A. Rocksteady, to our eyes. Yes, I know that doesn't make visual sense, but just go with it. It doesn't show any form of Co-Op which leads me to believe that she is either going to have a small portion of the game set up like The Joker did in Arkham Asylum. It may be some extra missions, after game missions added to the game, or it could be similar but added into the main story arc of the game. Read More...

Video Games In The Smithsonian

The Smithsonian Museum has recently released a list of the games that will be featured in their upcoming exhibition titled "The Art of Video Games" which will be running from March 16th 2012 to September 30th 2012. Some of the games featured are: Super Mario Bros. 3, Star Fox, BioShock, Fallout, and Diablo II. The exhibition will showcase the "evolution of video games as an artistic medium, from the Atari VSC to the PlayStation 3. It will also show the development of visual effects and aesthetics since the 1970's, the emergence of video games as a means for storytelling, the influence of world events and popular culture on game development and the impact games have on society. Rainbow Farting Unicorn, Yea That Was Said...

A new video has been posted on YouTube celebrity Freddie Wong's page, featuring a very gaseous little unicorn. Although at first it seems to be a normal humorous YouTube video, the credits point us in another direction. The video starts off with Freddie surfing the internet and getting a pop-up add claiming he has won something. Being slightly more curious than normal, he clicks on the ad and suddenly there are screeches in and out of existence dropping off what sounds like a heavy package. Call Of Duty To Become The Next Guitar Hero?

A leaked memo from Activision's CEO Eric Hirshberg is sure to have Call of Duty fans shaking in their boots and at the same time jumping for joy. The memo, from back in February, shows that Eric and the rest of the company are weary that Call of Duty might end up just like Guitar Hero. Let's see why this is a good thing for Call of Duty fans. Eric believes that the key to continuing Call of Duty's success is its Quality, saying "We need to focus: on making games that constantly raise the quality bar; on staying ahead of the innovation curve; on surrounding the brand with a suite of services and an online community that makes our fans never want to leave. Command Come In... New Operation Raccoon City Game Play Trailer

It is in and it makes Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City look like a load of fun. The trailer also makes all of the screen shots look like there were originally working it out for the Wii. Finally We Get To Play As Umbrella In Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
