CES 2012: Six Facts About The PS Vita

I will be one of the first people to admit that I have remained skeptical on the PlayStation Vita - even after putting hands on to the high-end handheld at E3 2011. The announced price point of $250 for the wi-fi version wasn't even enough to convince me. Then compounded on that the decrease in sales in the Japanese market after launch, I was beginning to believe that I would be definitely passing on the Vita. I'm not going to say that I've been thoroughly convinced here at CES 2012, but with only a month or so remaining until the US launch of the PlayStation Vita, my views have definitely shifted away from doubtful towards probable. CES 2012: AT&T Reveals PS Vita Data Pricing Structure

At the AT&T Dev Summit this morning, the large phone carrier announced the price structure for the 3G data plans to be offered to owners of the PlayStation Vita who have spent the extra $50 for the 3G-enabled version of the handheld device. Announced on their twitter, AT&T put forth that for $14.99, you can use 250MB of data, while $25 will afford you 2GB. The best part of this announcement is that both plans will come to you contract-free. Read More...

Hopefully it is no big surprise that Sony has the third season of The Tester under its belt. I'm sure most of you gamers out there saw floods of tweets, wall posts and whatever other method of online social interaction to get votes to be on the show. I know at least a few hundred of you saw the flood. Top 5 Items Pushed Into 2012

As 2011 comes to a close, it's easy to point out that once again the games industry has had an incredible year of releases. So many in fact, it would be simple to say that games pushed in to 2012 are okay because we already have so much to play. While I do not necessarily disagree with that statement, I think about the games already slated for next year that I want to play - i.e. BioShock Infinite, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Tomb Raider and XCOM - and I'm wondering when I will find the time to get into the things that were pushed back from 2011. Today it was announced that Zachary Levi will be hosting the 2011 Video Game Awards on Spike TV. Before you click away from this article and roll your eyes, let's take a look at the VGAs and this press release in particular before you pre-judge the fledgling award show. Great Games Under $30

Are you bored? Tired of playing that new game you just got because it didn't live up to its hype? Got some extra cash? Well then, you're in luck. I've made a list of some really good games under $30. First up we got Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock. The final Guitar Hero went out with a bang, featuring one of the best heavy metal and rock set lists I've ever seen as well as some really cool power ups. Warriors Of Rock has the first story line in a Guitar Hero game. While it's certainly not the best it is still very enjoyable; especially the final battle against The Beast. Read More...

Batman Getting The Cold Shoulder In Arkham City

Here we go with yet another villain shown for Batman: Arkham City - Mr. Freeze. If you look below, you'll see the nice, shiny new trailer for this latest reveal. At first glance, it really just seems like another step to stop Bats from getting things under control. That is, until he begins to meander around like a smaller, frozen Big Daddy. It does look like Freeze will be adding a few new environmental challenges for Batman from the video. Most notably would have to be the freezing of ledges. Read More...
