This Week In Video Games 5/8/17 — 5/12/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of May 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with yet another pretty solid week for video games with its own ups and downs to be taken in. I think some of the bigger things had to be all of the Assassin's Creed leaks and rumors out there, but we also go to see quite a bit more for Injustice 2. I'm sure we are all excited to just get to play that game now so we can focus on other video games to come. Agents Of Mayhem and Absolver need some love out there so we can stop with the dominating of the news for a bit after next week. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 5/1/17 — 5/5/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of May 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This was one of the more exciting weeks for video games that we've had in quite some time now wasn't it? I know it was for me as we had a whole lot get shown off this week and we also had Darksiders III get an official announcement out there. We also had a lot more hype for Friday The 13th: The Game and a look at the full roster for Injustice 2 and some of the new DLC that will be coming for it. All of that and a few reviews for a few video games that have made a whole lot of page space on the site here over the last few months and years. Read More...

Review — Guardians Of The Galaxy — Tangled Up In Blue
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of May 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Guardians Of The Galaxy We sit down and review Guardians Of The Galaxy — Tangled Up In Blue. This is the first episode of Telltale's version of Guardians Of The Galaxy. Here's our review on how they did With Guardians Of The Galaxy being the big thing right now in the Marvel film universe, it makes sense that we would see the first episode of the new episodic game release here to add to the whole experience. It is not linked to the film or comics, outside of the basics, and is completely something from Telltale Games for us to experience and have fun with before, after, and for a while after we catch the film. We do only have the first episode of this Guardians Of The Galaxy experience so far, but we've had our chance to give it all a whirl and see just how they did. Read More...

Darksiders III Shows How Fury Can Get Rid Of Sloth
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of May 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Darksiders New gameplay for Darksiders III has just been shown off and it gives us a look at how Darksiders III has progressed from the past titles Earlier in the week we saw that Darksiders III was going to be a thing like many of us had hoped. Usually when it comes to game reveals that is where everything is left and then we have to wait a bit to actually see any real gameplay. At least when we all get a reveal like we did for Darksiders III that only held a cinematic trailer and nothing else. It looks like Gunfire Games is going to skip that usual procession as now we have some gameplay to gaze upon as we wait for the THQ Nordic to give us the full release sometime next year. Read More...

The Pamela Tapes In Friday The 13th: The Game Add Much More To The Story
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of May 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Friday The 13th In Friday The 13th: The Game we will get an expanded story for the franchise & we get to see all of Friday The 13th's Jasons we will slay with If you've been following along with Friday The 13th: The Game fairly closely then it should come as no surprise that Illfonic has placed into the maps a few hidden little secrets to be found or dug up. Sure this could go towards all of the items and parts of the map that players could use to survive or kill each other in the maps, but what we are talking about are the hidden little gems that actually expand on the overall story of the franchise. I'm talking about the Pamela tapes for those who have been elbow deep in Friday The 13th in the game form or even in the cinematic form. Read More...

It Is Time To Release Your Fury As Darksiders III Is Announced
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of May 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Darksiders Darksiders III has been officially announced after many Darksiders III leaks popped up in preparation for the full reveal of the game All of those hopes and prayers have been answered as Darksiders III has just been announced by THQ Nordic and is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2018. Yes, this is not a drill or more wishful thinking based on the remasters we saw recently from Gunfire Games and such. I am sure that both remasters of the other Darksiders titles help push this along, but now we have it and now we have to wait. Read More...

Resident Evil 7 Will Be No Hero This Spring But It's Okay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of April 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Resident Evil 7 The announced free DLC for Resident Evil 7, Not A Hero, has been delayed but it looks like we will get more top-notch Resident Evil 7 gaming soon Like many other titles that promised something by Spring of 2017, it looks like Resident Evil 7 is going to be added to that list as it seems the Not A Hero DLC has been delayed. Not a huge deal given how well the game and current DLC are going, but none the less it looks like Capcom needs more time for this DLC and we are going to have to wait. How long? Read More...

Let Us Talk About Addiction And Video Games
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Monday, 24th of April 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Video Games All of us can be addicted to video games so let's discuss the Neil Robertson case and video games A news story that’s been popping up all day is of former world Snooker champion Neil Robertson’s addiction to video games. Some games like Dark Souls do have a strange addictive tendency with the rewarding sensation giving to a player after a long hard fought victory. I’m not a student of psychology though and this topic has been brought up enough over the years I have looked into it. My conclusion is that it’s not the video games that are addicting; it’s generally dependent on the type of person you are. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 4/17/17 — 4/21/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of April 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more week of 2017's video games in the bag and as it has seemed every week so far, it was a huge one. So many things popped up and so many things have yet to be discussed on the site here. We saw a whole lot more for Injustice 2's fighters, we're getting ever so ready for Prey, There was a whole lot for Friday The 13th, and then we had the Call Of Duty: WWII bombshell dropped. All of which means that next week is going to be pretty much off the hook when it comes to all things video games. Read More...

Will Blood Be Thicker Than Water In The Walking Dead: A New Frontier
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of April 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead The fourth episode of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier has been given a release date and it looks like we'll be back in The Walking Dead a lot sooner than we thought Talk about a turnaround for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier and how Telltale is going to bring it to us as it looks like the fourth episode of the game will be out on April 25th now. Yes, that is only a few days away from right now and it brings them back on par with how they have been handling many of their other recent titles. I won't lie that I was a bit let down with the three month gap from the two episode premiere of this season of The Walking Dead but hopefully this will stay the trend for Telltale Games as we press forward with this IP and all the others they are bringing us. Jason Is Not Mending Fences With Counselors In Friday The 13th: The Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of April 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Friday The 13th We have another huge information dump for Friday The 13th: The Game that shows off the final versions of the counselors in Friday The 13th & other updates There is still no solid release date for Friday The 13th: The Game but that doesn't mean that the updates are going to stop rolling in at all. Gun Media is still waiting for all of the certifications to go through for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game and it looks like there was a whole lot that has yet to have been shown off from that build that Illfonic has put together. It's almost like they knew how to restrain themselves when it came to Friday The 13th even though in general it doesn't seem like they can. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 4/10/17 — 4/14/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of April 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with one more week of video games in the bag. As it seems every week for quite some time now, it too was a pretty solid week in news and updates for us over here. We had a massive drop of information for Injustice 2, a lot more gameplay for Prey and Outlast 2, and then there was the plethora of reviews again with Bulletstorm getting into the mix there. These were only a small taste of the video games we had a chance to get to as well, but that is how these weeks seem to usually go. Read More...
