Square Enix Is Bringing All Kinds Of Tomb Raider & Kingdom Hearts Fun To SDCC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of July 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Square Enix Not to be left out of SDCC, Square Enix is bringing all kinds of games and events to make sure you have been able to experience all Square Enix has to offer Just as the many year's past, Square Enix will be back at SDCC this year and bringing with them all of the games that we have been keeping an eye on and hoping to play sooner rather than later. Sadly, it does not look like they are bringing much in the way of Final Fantasy, but they are truly pushing Shadow Of The Tomb Raider and Kingdom Hearts III just as they did out at E3. Not the biggest of surprises given the proximity to the release dates and SDCC being a huge fan event for Square Enix to get the games in front of more eyes than just through other people's thoughts and opinions. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of July 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more week of video games in the books now. As usual, there was a lot to look at and take in, but a rather slow week in general. Granted, we did have the big news for Darksiders III here with a load of new gameplay and one of the coolest collector's editions I have seen for many video games in a while. We also had a nice look at the upcoming Spyro trilogy that is on its way as well as some updates for Far Cry 5 and the delay of Code Vein again. Maybe we should not have ended on that note. Final Fantasy Another character from Final Fantasy VIII fame will be joining the fight in Dissidia Final Fantasy in the not too distant future Add one more character to the list of fighters in Dissidia Final Fantasy as Rinoa is making the jump in to the fight here soon. There is no word on how soon from Team Ninja, but she is joining in and bringing her own flare of fighting to the arena. You may remember her from Square Enix's eighth installment to the Final Fantasy franchise. Maybe not, depending on how far back you have been playing the franchise up to now as they do seem to be going back and pulling some of the less famous characters in the IP. Read More...

E3 2018 Impressions — Call Of Cthulhu
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of June 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu While at E3 I was able to see Call Of Cthulhu in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Call Of Cthulhu. The madness continues to flow as we are still left waiting for Call Of Cthulhu to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but we did get another great showing of the game while on the floor out at E3. While I know I was hoping to be able to actually play and experience what Cyanide Studios has for the game so far, it was not meant to be as it was not playable on the floor again. Thankfully, though, Focus Home Interactive had us all covered to show off a bit more for Call Of Cthulhu and get us ready for its imminent release of sometime this year. Read More...

E3 Hands On — Shadow Of The Tomb Raider
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of June 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider While at E3, I was able to see Shadow Of The Tomb Raider in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Shadow Of The Tomb Raider. With Shadow Of The Tomb Raider not that far off from release, September 14th as a reminder, it was expected to see the game have a huge showing out at E3 this year and Square Enix did not let us down. There was a great showing during their huge press event the day before E3 kicked off, but also had a nice long demo for fans to play that Eidos-Montréal had put together just for the show. It was a nice subsection of the core game and let the world see what was coming to Shadow Of The Tomb Raider as well as show how the gameplay has shifted a bit. Read More...
