Review — The Walking Dead: A New Frontier — Above The Law
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of April 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead We sit down and review The Walking Dead: A New Frontier — Above The Law. This is the third episode of Telltale's continuation on their version of The Walking Dead. Here's our review on how they did It has been some time since the last two episodes for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier were launched. I was hopeful that the back to back releases of the episodes were a sign that Telltale Games was going to get this season out there rather quickly. Sadly that was not the case as it was three months until the third episode for this season of The Walking Dead to release, but release it has. Read More...

Review — Horizon Zero Dawn
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Thursday, 6th of April 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn We sit down and review Horizon Zero Dawn. An open world, post-apocalyptic, robot dinosaurs hunting game. Here's our review of Horizon Zero Dawn In Horizon Zero Dawn you play as Aloy who grows up as an outcast, and an orphan, raised in the wilderness by a man named Rost. He teaches to how to hunt and survive in the wild. One thing that kind of bugged me on a personal level was the names that Guerrilla Games came up with. I get what Guerrilla was trying to do with “Rost” as rust, “Aloy” as alloy, but even simple names from people before the apocalypse have dumb names. Read More...

Review — Bear With Me: Episode One
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Tuesday, 4th of April 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Slime-San We sit down and review Bear With Me: Episode One. Dive in to the detective thriller of the century. Here's our review of Bear With Me: Episode One Bear With Me: Episode One has been pretty much an obsession for me. I’ve had rocky experiences with point and click adventure games over the years. Some are so simple it’s not even fun, then some are masochistically hard from making no logical sense. Why would kicking over a rock in the garden, causing you to stumble back, fall into the pool so that the sun can bounce off the waves, and that somehow blinds the cat causing him to jump from his perch on top the coat rack and brush the lock on the door to open it? This Week In Video Games 3/27/17 — 3/31/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 31st of March 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with yet another week in video games in the bag. A nice strong week at that as we started out with a great review for Mass Effect: Andromeda and still managed to not have any of the April Fool's Day bullshit mixed in. I can't talk about tomorrow or the following days but maybe we'll see something great for Injustice 2 or Prey for some reason. That is unless all of this week's updates and news for our video games was a huge prank and then we could call it all a wash and start over. Read More...

Jump For Joy As We Happy Few Gets Another Major Update & Area To Explore
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 31st of March 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
We Happy Few The second major update for We Happy Few has been released and this one adds in some requested items as well as adding to We Happy Few a new area to explore Great news for all of those gamers out there still enjoying We Happy Few. It looks like there is now even more to enjoy as a new major update for the game has been pushed out there that adds a whole new area to explore and quest on. Not only that, but some other great things have been added into the mix so that you can now stop pestering Compulsion Games for a bit so they can double down on making We Happy Few a final project and not an early access thing that we have right now. When you force the developers to look at things that could be left alone for now it only pushes the final launch out just that much further. Read More...

It's Almost Time To Get Tangled In Blue With The Guardians Of The Galaxy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of March 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Guardians Of The Galaxy The release date for Guardians Of The Galaxy has been set and we also have a new trailer for Guardians Of The Galaxy's first episode The date has been set and the Guardians Of The Galaxy episodic title will be here by April 18th for those who want to pick it up digitally for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It kind of looks like Telltale Games is only slightly using the new film to synergize sales for the game but none the less it is coming. I guess you could say it is going to piggy back off the Guardians Of The Galaxy sequel in the way that a physical form of the game will be available on May 5th, the same day as the film, but that won't get everyone as amped up as it'll still only be the digital code for the season in the box more or less. The Walking Dead: A New Frontier's Next Episode Is Above The Law
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of March 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead The launch trailer for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier's third episode has finally been released as soon we can see how this part of The Walking Dead plays out Last week we had a nice little tease for the third episode of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. It showed off a nice little bit of what we could expect in this episode but also looked like it was very focused on the pre-end history of Javier's and little more than that. This week it looks like Telltale Games has given us all the launch trailer for the episode, it still launches on March 28th though, and it definitely goes down a path a bit of a different path than previously thought; all of which in a good way. I had little doubt that this version of The Walking Dead would leave us hanging in a weird spot. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 3/13/17 — 3/17/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of March 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site Another week done and even more video games to look and have enjoyed. This was a rather upbeat week for it all as well now wasn't it? We had plenty of new stuff out of PAX East to look at like the new stuff for Friday The 13th and the next episode of The Walking Dead. We were also able to see Injustice 2 add Firestorm to the ranks for us. To top it off we also had a wonder review out there for Styx: Shards Of Darkness. Read More...

Rumors Are Out There That Evil Within 2 Is In Development
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of March 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Evil Within 2 Rumors have started that The Evil Within 2 is in development based on a recent job posting for Q/A to work on The Evil Within 2 or Psycho Break 2 in Japan The rumor mill is churning as it looks like hints that The Evil Within 2, or Psycho Break 2 if you wish, is currently in development and at the point where they are looking for QA people. At least this is all to be believed from a recent, unconfirmed, private job listing over there for Tango Gameworks that has found its way online and then screen captured for all to see. The bigger thing giving this new rumor for The Evil Within 2 much of its merit currently is that Bethesda has already teased some big titles for the year and that Tango has claimed it wanted to make this a franchise and not just a one-off title. Our First Look At Episode 3 Of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Is Here
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of March 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead We have our first look at The Walking Dead: A New Frontier episode three and it looks like The Walking Dead universe is kicking the game up a notch It has taken a bit longer than I thought, but it looks like we finally have our first taste of episode three for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. I know I was hoping for it to come shortly after last month's physical release but it looks like we still have a bit to wait as it will be hitting us on March 28th for now. That doesn't mean that Telltale Games didn't have something to show everyone out at PAX East though as a nice little teaser for this new episode of The Walking Dead was shown off and, in typical fashion, make it looks like the shit is truly hitting the fan. This Week In Video Games 3/6/17 — 3/10/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 11th of March 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site One more grueling week of video games in the bag here and it was yet another one filled with all kinds of fun. We had some of the aftermath of GDC to still filter through here as well as the start of PAX East and soon SXSW. Those are just the conventions for all these video games at that as we also saw a whole lot for Injustice 2 and Mass Effect: Andromeda flow out here this week. Also we have official word on when Outlast 2 and Styx: Shards Of Darkness will finally be hitting our homes. Read More...

The Winds Of Change Are Being Summoned Up In Paragon As Yin Joins The Fight
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of March 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Paragon The next character for Paragon has been revealed and we will all see Yin join the Paragon roster here next week in the usual update Another three weeks have gone by and here we are yet again with another fighter to join in for Paragon. It's hard sometimes to realize that much time has actually passed here and now we have one more character added in by Epic Games, but none the less here we go. This new Paragon hero is Yin and she looks like she is here to whip everyone into shape as well as use the winds of the world to her advantage. At least that is how the description goes and we'll know for sure when she officially adds to the ranks on March 14th during the normal update that comes every three weeks. Read More...

It Is Almost Time To Join The Experiments Of The Crow's Eye
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of March 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
The Crow's Eye New gameplay for The Crow's Eye is here and it looks like the release date has been set for The Crow's Eye as well in a few weeks Earlier in the year here we were treated with a nice little tease for a game called The Crow's Eye. It looked to be an interesting psychological puzzle style game that 3D2 Entertainment was going to test our brains and sanity with and then there wasn't much more of a word from it since. I know it piqued my interest when I saw it and was eagerly waiting to see some solid gameplay and possibly a date to look out for when it would hit my PC. As it turns out though, it looks like both have been answered here as The Crow's Eye will be launching on March 20th here and we also have some solid gameplay to look at and see if it will hold up to the speculations.
