Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Has More Gameplay For Us To Preview Before Launch
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of May 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Ratchet & Clank New previews for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is here to show off a bit more gameplay for Ratchet & Clank and how it will be different We have a month to wait for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart to hit the PS5 and that means that some of those early preview builds are flowing out there for us to take a look at. Some of us have a chance to actually play a bit of the game before June 11th and some of us have to sit back and take a look at the bits of gameplay others are able to put out there instead. We are in the latter group, but that does not mean we are not excited to dive in on the up-and-coming Ratchet & Clank title from Insomniac Games here. Read More...

Layers Of Fear 2 Is Dropping Onto The Switch Here Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of May 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Layers Of Fear Get ready to take Layers Of Fear on the move again with Layers Of Fear 2 hitting the Switch in just about a week from now It may have taken a little bit of time, but it does look like the Switch will soon be able to hop in on the horrors of Layers Of Fear 2 here. Not the biggest of issues as it did hit fairly hard when Bloober Team dropped it out there before and on May 20th you will be able to add it to the growing list of titles on the new platform to enjoy. Hopefully, this will help them to bring us all another entry into the Layers Of Fear line or maybe for the game to hit us in other ways as we have seen the original do over the years. That is always the hope when it comes to titles that do feel like they add into the industry and do not go with the normal flow of it all and just one more title to play and toss aside. Read More...

Stargate: Timekeepers Announced To Carry The Story On Just A Bit More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Stargate A new Stargate title is coming with the announcement that Stargate: Timekeepers will be taking some of the story into an RTS setting It looks like one more crack at the IP is coming with the latest announcement for Stargate: Timekeepers. Yes, we have more building into the IP and story with Creative Forge Games taking a swing to see if they can do what many others out there have not been able to do. That is to give us a solid Stargate video game that does not seem like a cash grab for the diehard fans that have been following for so long. It sounds like a massive undertaking, but this one will be an RTS on the PC that has a slight advantage to it all. Read More...

Life Is Strange: True Colors Asks Us All To Get To Know Ryan
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of May 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange One more character is shown off for Life Is Strange: True Colors to show us how romance will play into Life Is Strange again We have met the protagonist and a bit of their family for Life Is Strange: True Colors, but now it is time to start filling out the rest of the cast we will get to experience in the game. I have a feeling this list could potentially get massive over time as Deck Nine Games usually dives into all of that fairly deep to give us a well-written story in the mix. You can look at all of the past titles for Life Is Strange to ensure you know that is what you will be getting into. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of May 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Final Fantasy A new video for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is taking us back with a classic game from the original Final Fantasy VII The final trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is now out there after the latest live stream that Square Enix has put on and we have a few more interesting things to see in the mix for this coming episode. Sure, it was expected that we would get to see Yuffie doing a few more things and a little more to the story being told, but in this video we get a tease of a few more gameplay elements that will be mixed in. One of them being something many might remember being a new twist on something we experienced in the original Final Fantasy VII at a different point. Read More...

Back 4 Blood Is Keeping Things Dynamic With All Of Its Cards
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Back 4 Blood A new look at how the cards in Back 4 Blood will be able to modify the matches and keep Back 4 Blood feeling dynamic at all times There is still a wait for us to be able to fully experience what Back 4 Blood is going to bring us in the amazing zombie shooter camp. There had to be some good reasons for the delay and I think we might be getting a good look at what to expect will get some upgrades in the game. Not that Turtle Rock has not mentioned anything about the card system in Back 4 Blood before now, but it does look like there is a lot more going on in the latest video we have that dives right into the mix of all of that. Something that will most likely be fleshed completely out before October 12th when the game hits the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of April 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week It can always be satisfying when a week bookends its self with the same video games so well and with much more than just some marketing hype in the mix. We get to wrap on a week just like that with all of the Ratchet & Clank we did get to see here. Not to mention see a bit more for Returnal that just launched and more for the coming Hood title. We also had a chance to mark one more of those video games off the review list with Paradise Lost for those looking to see if they should take the time to experience it all as well. Read More...

We Will All Be Sucked Further Into The Gameplay For Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of April 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Ratchet & Clank A whole of lot of new gameplay for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart came out recently and we can dive into a bit more to come with this Ratchet & Clank title It seems fitting that since we opened the week with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart that we are closing it out too. All due to the most recent State Of Play that happened and allowed for Insomniac Games to share a whole lot more gameplay than we had at the start of it all. Almost seventeen minutes worth of the stuff so we can see Ratchet & Clank doing their thing and then a little bit more on the character that we just had highlighted in the way of Rivet. If you have not seen any of that yet, do not worry as there is a whole lot more to Rivet in this gameplay dump that you will get to know the character much more as we see the dimension-hopping continue along the way. Layers Of Fear VR Is Out To Haunt The Living On The PSVR Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of April 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Layers Of Fear The launch for Layers Of Fear VR is upon us for the PSVR and more of us can experience this new Layers Of Fear form to drive us all mad The IP that caused so many nightmares before is finally back one more time with Layers Of Fear VR hitting the wilds out there on the PSVR. If you thought you could not handle what the game had to throw at you before, then get ready for Bloober Team to make you need to change your underpants a few times with this game. Those that may have played Layers Of Fear might remember some of those scares, but now we will have the chance to immerse ourselves further into it all and possibly give ourselves all of the nightmares that our protagonist had before going into it all. All as we try to paint the final masterpiece one more time while using the PS Move controllers and try to set the physical and musty mood in our own homes. Read More...

Create Your Own Fate As The Tide Of Time Rolls In Returnal
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of April 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Returnal Returnal is on the verge of launching and we have one more pull to suck us into the story Returnal will be offering up This is the week that the PS5 will finally see the full version of Returnal and we can see just how this studio is advancing their concepts and designs along the way. It has been something I know I have been excited for when I saw the first trailer Housemarque put out there to let us know it was happening. Then we had all of the darker and time-bending trailers for Returnal to make us ask other questions as to what we will be going through in this game. Given that it is shaping to be a live-die-repeat style of it all, it makes sense and looks like they could have another hit on their hands. Read More...

Review — Paradise Lost
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of April 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Paradise Lost We sit down and review Paradise Lost. A dark walk through a twisted alternate history setting. Here is our review of Paradise Lost Playing with history can be fun and can lead to some interesting ideas on how things could have played out differently based on how events transpired. That is part of the core to Paradise Lost, among other things, that PolyAmorous wanted to dive into. They are not the first to do this, obviously, but it is the latest to let us go in and see a different view of things through the eyes of a child. All as we walk around the WWII-inspired setting that is set well after the wars went down. Read More...

Deduce A Few More Answers For The Coming Sherlock Holmes Chapter One
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of April 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Sherlock More answers are given for Sherlock Holmes Chapter One to get us ready to play as well as inhabit the role of Sherlock Holmes again Just as the IP should be doing here, Sherlock Holmes Chapter One has been leaving us with a whole lot of questions about the game to try to figure out along the way to see if we are ready to experience this version of the character's origin. Unlike the IP should, in my opinion, we are no getting hand fed some of those answers from Frogwares so we do not have to think about it too hard. Sure, this is all in a way to help us figure out if we should give Sherlock Holmes Chapter One our money and time, but…well, I guess that is a good reason. Read More...
