by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Resident Evil The first real look at Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is out there to show us how this will build into the larger Resident Evil story There has been a whole lot of time to dive into the most recent Resident Evil game that has dropped on us, that we almost missed the sneak peek of another item in the IP coming out there. No, this is not a new game that Capcom is bringing to us or some kind of DLC for the current release for those that are not deep into the whole RE line up. This is all for a new Netflix animated serialized drama that we are getting to further progress the lore and try to explain a bit more. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 5/17/21 — 5/21/21
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of May 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Here we go with the wrap-up once again for all of the video games we had to look at here for the week. There was a lot and a whole lot of the same things here this week with Biomutant, Of Bird And Cage and Ratchet & Clank taking over the bigger portions of it all here. There is nothing wrong with that at all, but those were the bigger video games that we had updated and with all of the reviews out there for now. Some are just about to launch out there too, so it all makes sense to have the massive push of it all for now. Read More...

Explore A Few More Planets To Come To Us In Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Ratchet & Clank The not-so-launch party for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart continues with a look at a few more planets Ratchet & Clank will explore The pre-launch content for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is still coming and it looks like the wait is not going to be long between all of these. I guess, Insomniac Games has a whole lot that they want to share with us for the game before June 11th runs up on us and we can experience it all on the PS5. This time around, as teased in the last video, we have more of the planets and exploration we will have in this Ratchet & Clank. New worlds and new dimensions do kind of allow for all of that to come at us in a quick and unique way here, so it makes sense. Read More...

Meet Your Cleaners Coming To Clear The Ridden In Back 4 Blood
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of May 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Back 4 Blood The characters we will have in Back 4 Blood are highlighted in the latest trailer showing them do what they do best in Back 4 Blood It might sound a bit off, but the cleaners are lined up for our inspection for Back 4 Blood so we can start to work on our gameplay strategies. To clarify, this would be the description given to us for the character classes we will have as they are referred to in the game universe. Given the fact that they are out there trying to clean up the world from the "Ridden" in Back 4 Blood, it makes a bit of sense but not something we generally use when it comes to gameplay elements. The same goes for how Turtle Rock is bringing these infected to us too. Read More...

The Last Of Us Part II Is Enhanced Just A Bit Further Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of May 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
The Last Of Us A new patch for The Last Of Us Part II is out there to bring 60 FPS to The Last Of Us Part II among a few other updates as well It should come as no surprise that Naughty Dog has been working on a way to bring The Last Of Us Part II over to the PS5 in an official way here. Just as the first title did, it released right around the time of a console jump and they would want to make sure that gamers out there get the best experience on the latest version. Not to mention that they most likely already knew that the system was dropping around then, given that relationship with Sony. That all said, unlike The Last Of Us from before, we are not getting a remaster to make sure that it can hop console generations easily but instead getting a full upgrade and patch. Read More...

The Dark Pictures: House Of Ashes Teases Us With A New Threat
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of May 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
House Of Ashes A new teaser for The Dark Pictures: House Of Ashes is out to give us a bit of a feel for House Of Ashes before a gameplay reveal Here we go with a little more of a tease for The Dark Pictures: House Of Ashes as we wait to get any real gameplay for the game. Sure, some of this could potentially be from some of the gameplay as Supermassive Games does like to use the engine and gameplay to make their videos but this is still a tease. A tease that shows off a bit of the horrors and tunnels we will be exploring in House Of Ashes as we further fill out the larger story of the anthology series here. This one still has us all focus on a team of soldiers in the Middle East instead of a bunch of random tweens doing the typical horror movie tropes. Read More...

Review — Layers Of Fear VR
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 18th of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Layers Of Fear We sit down and review Layers Of Fear VR. The creepy walking-sim is back in the virtual space again. Here is our review of Layers Of Fear VR It seems like so long ago that we had the original Layers Of Fear made a splash and offer us all a new way to go about some of the horrors out there. It was not the bigger title that did all of this, but it was a smash hit and delight to see what Bloober Team was trying to do with the genre and ways to offer up horror to the gaming fans. Then we cut forward a few years and after the big VR crazy hit, and now we have Layers Of Fear VR. Read More...

Feel The Power Of The Arsenal In Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 18th of May 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Ratchet & Clank Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will offer up a few new weapons and more ways for Ratchet & Clank to traverse the new dimensions they have All the weapons are finally on display for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart as June 11th seems to keep crawling closer and closer to us all. Not only the weapons but a little more on how the characters in the game will be moving around and, thankfully, keeping the same movement schemes in the game. Insomniac Games had me a little worried there with it looking like Ratchet and Rivet could have different things to try to nail down. Now that confusion is lifted just a bit more with the explanation of how we will traverse this Ratchet & Clank and use all of those sweet, sweet weapons along the way. Read More...

Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Here we go with a wrapping of another slow week in the realm of video games here. Slow in the way of not the biggest of news flowing out there but there was still something to highlight and talk about. Even if it was about the new DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or the new platforms for Layers Of Fear 2. We did get to end it all with some new gameplay for Biomutant and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart among some various other updates for some smaller video games as well. Read More...
