The Makings Of A God Of War III
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 21st of January 2010 - 05:36 PM ]
Now that the HD video is starting to circulate amongst news sites, we are able to show off some of the video. Well not the video per say, but stills from the video showing off some more of the combat coming to us soon for God of War III. Also a little bit of some of the other weapons and levels we have to look forward to this coming March. Like the below big stone guy with giant mallet to boot. Or what looks to be a shipping yard full of crates. Read More...

Rock Band Network Up And Running
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 21st of January 2010 - 02:17 PM ]
Just as promised, the Rock Band Network is up and running starting now. That's right, get ready for the flood of unknown musicians of every genre to start flowing on your XBox Live stores and shortly after on the PSN. Shortly meaning about a month later after getting the XBox exclusive treatment and testing out of the way. But that's neither here nor there for the actual news here. The big thing her is that now for the low cost of about $100 dollars, any musician can record and publish their own tracks to the Rock Band Store. Read More...

There Will Be Blood This Wednesday
by Kevin [ Tuesday, 19th of January 2010 - 10:38 PM ]
No, unfortunately, this does not mean that Daniel Day Lewis will be abandoning his child (abandoning his boy), and being a gracious oilman on our next generation consoles. Nay, this deals with the blood that will be spilled via two downloadable titles coming this Wednesday on XBox Live and PSN. Death by Cube (800 ($10)) is a little gem by Square Enix with a story that suggests a sweet abundance of man's most precious videogame resource, violence, "Leo is a robot, one who awakes to find that he has lost his memory. All he knows is that he must reboot the heroine robot, so he sets forth on a mission hoping to regain his memory. To his surprise, he finds the world is now filled with battalions of enemy robots, drenched in bright red oil, and shooting bullets every direction. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of January 2010 - 02:26 PM ]
It is a well known fact that in God of War III you will be taking on huge bosses and traversing large environments that are literally the titans themselves that are suppose to be helping Kratos in the upcoming finale to the God of War storyline. If you had no clue of this, go back to Utah because that is apparently where you are from. Either that or read a bit more on this epic game. For all of you out there that know what the fuck I am talking about, you have been waiting to see what some of the levels will look like. Read More...

How Did That Naughty Bear Get So Naughty?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of January 2010 - 06:00 PM ]
I've bet you been wondering the same thing since hearing about this game haven't you? Haven't you? You have heard about this twisted teddy bear game right? Looks kind of like Fairy Tale Fights with a bit of upgraded 3D graphics and just the same amount of cuddly, twisted humor. You know. Naughty Bear! Well if you haven't, then here's a link for you. It will tell you how the game seems like a mixture of Manhunt and cuddly bears all wrapped into one awesome game. Read More...

Final Fantasy XIII And Lady Bad Luck
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of January 2010 - 09:18 PM ]
Don't Panic! I've always wanted to start off with that. But as it says, don't panic. There has not been an announcement of a delay, set back or some other event to hindering Final Fantasy XIII from dropping on time. It is just a reference from the new trailer below. For once the characters of the story actually see how everything is happening in a string of bad luck. Now, if only they could reference the horrible voice acting that seems to be plaguing this new trailer. The trailer itself is just another great montage of scenes and voice acting from the English version due to come out in two months. Read More...

Stay on Target...Stay on Target...
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 12th of January 2010 - 05:51 PM ]
I'm a Star Wars fan. and I'm also a huge MMO fan.  So since the announcement of Star Wars the Old Republic the MMO, I have been digging and watching everything I can to get anything I can about this game.EA CEO John Riccitiello had a conference call and a press release to update their future fiscal prospect in 2010 yesterday (numbers, numbers, blah, blah, blah).  As you all know EA is a powerhouse this year and has tons of games heading for the shelves this year, and it's going to be hell to catch up with them all (but stay tuned because we will cover them).  John Riccitiello did give us a bit of news that had ears around the internet buzzing:"One key driver is going to be the launch date of our major MMO. Dark Void Demo Impressions
by Kevin [ Thursday, 7th of January 2010 - 01:24 PM ]
The sci-fi action-adventure Dark Void demo has dropped today for the Xbox 360 and will be following on the PSN tomorrow. With the demo you get the chance to take that jetpack for a spin, and engage in some aerial and on-foot combat. It is supposed to serve to wet the appetite for the games' January 19th release date. With some unique gameplay elements like vertical cover, I've been looking forward to taking this title for a test drive. The press release speaks with some glowing words of course, "With the launch of Capcom’s sci-fi shooter, Dark Void, right around the corner, Capcom is giving gamers a chance to test drive the void for themselves this week with a downloadable demo coming to Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. And Thus The Hazard Drops
by Kevin [ Tuesday, 5th of January 2010 - 02:42 PM ]
A few months ago we reported on the parody-rich continuation of Matt Hazard's first adventure, Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. This entry in the series, the downloadable Blood, Bath, and Beyond, is billed as a classic side-scroller to confront the evil General Neutronov, who has traveled back in time to capture 8-bit version of our hero. The strategy? Kill the original so that the current version of Matt will not exist to stop him. Read More...

Uncharted: Santa's Fortune
by Kevin [ Friday, 25th of December 2009 - 02:21 PM ]
Well, with holidays comes gifts of some sort and the fine folks at Naughty Dog are at it again. Instead of overweight Drakes however, this time you'll get characters adorned with Christmas hats and a Double Cash weekend. This go round it will be from Thursday, December 24, 2009, at 10:00 AM PST through Sunday, December 27, 2009, at 11:00 AM PST. Not only will you gain double for your trouble with kill, but for medals as well. At this rate I would expect there to be something for the New Year with everyone in the New Year Baby's diaper. Review: God of War Collection - GoWII
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of December 2009 - 03:49 PM ]
Continuing from the God of War Review from a few weeks ago, the beginning part of the Collection, we bring you God of War II. Which as you would think, continues the story of Kratos and his fight against the Gods and Titans from Greek mythology. Only this time with a little bit more twists and a quasi surprise ending that some could kind of see coming. At least if you know your mythology. Before I get to much further in, let me answer a question you may have. Read More...

Take A Glimpse Into Final Fantasy XIV
by Kevin [ Thursday, 17th of December 2009 - 03:27 PM ]
Well, the beta test application site for Final Fantasy XIV has opened up, and while the beta may only be for the PC, it is a great chance for those interested to poke around in what could be a fantastic MMO experience. For the curious, the requirements are: Be at least 18 years of age Possess a Square Enix ID account (Register for a Square Enix ID account here, if you don't have one already) Possess an internet connection Be capable of downloading large amounts of data Be capable of submitting bug reports in either Japanese, English, French, or German Like any other beta test, there will be several waves and opportunities to enter the beta so don't be discouraged if you don't make it in initially. For those looking for the PS3 experience, it seems that will be revealed "at a later date." Despite that, 2010 is going to be the year for this game's release, and I, for one, am excited.
