Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more week of video games in the books now. As usual, there was a lot to look at and take in, but a rather slow week in general. Granted, we did have the big news for Darksiders III here with a load of new gameplay and one of the coolest collector's editions I have seen for many video games in a while. Darksiders Another eleven minutes of Darksiders III gameplay has been released to take us further into the underground of the world Darksiders will be exploring The week started off with a great announcement that Darksiders III is coming at us on November 27th and it will have some other extremely cool collector’s edition to come along with it. Not a bad way to start the week with Gunfire Games and such. Now we have made it a bit further in and we are back with even more gameplay for Darksiders III to take in and dissect for anything else just as amazing to know for the game. Read More...

Final Fantasy Another character from Final Fantasy VIII fame will be joining the fight in Dissidia Final Fantasy in the not too distant future Add one more character to the list of fighters in Dissidia Final Fantasy as Rinoa is making the jump in to the fight here soon. There is no word on how soon from Team Ninja, but she is joining in and bringing her own flare of fighting to the arena. You may remember her from Square Enix's eighth installment to the Final Fantasy franchise. Maybe not, depending on how far back you have been playing the franchise up to now as they do seem to be going back and pulling some of the less famous characters in the IP. Read More...

Far Cry 5 The second DLC for Far Cry 5 is close to launch and we will soon all be taking Far Cry 5 to Mars to take on some weird aliens Get ready to head to Mars in your Far Cry 5 as the next bit of DLC has been given a release date and it is now coming on July 17th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game. So pretty much them all as Ubisoft keeps us locked into playing the game even longer as the Season Pass continues to press on. Darksiders The release date for Darksiders III has been set now and we have a few editions of Darksiders III that will start an apocalypse on our wallets What originally seemed like a leak of sorts for Darksiders III has officially turned into all kinds of amazingness as we now have a release date officially set for the game. Not only that, but it looks like in addition to that Gunfire Games and THQ Nordic have put together some rather epic collector's editions for the game as well. One of which will set you back $400 USD to pick up Darksiders III, but from the looks of it, it will be worth the money. Read More...

Anthem The E3 demo for Anthem has made its way online for us all to see and dig into, as there may have been things in Anthem you missed before This year at E3, Anthem was one of the larger titles many were talking about and getting hyped up for even with as little as there had been before the show started. It is always weird to see a whole lot of hype build up with such little information before, but this is another BioWare title so I guess fans will be fans. That all said, EA had Anthem down around the show for fans to try to get some hands-on time with or just see what they were getting all hyped up about. Read More...

Fear The Wolves It has been announced that Fear The Wolves will be entering into Early Access with a full version of Fear The Wolves launching in 2019 If you were hoping to add another Battle Royale game into your to play list here in short order, then rejoice as Fear The Wolves is heading to Early Access for the PC via Steam. How short of order? We are talking that Vostok Games will have the first version of it up on Steam and ready for those want to join in on July 18th. Read More...

Call Of Duty A recent job posting for a known Call Of Duty developer points that there may be single-player back in the next Call Of Duty title The next Call Of Duty title has not even fully been revealed or launched yet and we are already looking toward the next possible one. At least the next one coming from Infinity Ward in terms of if we will see single-player make its way back into the franchise. Again, we have yet to see how a Call Of Duty title will go without a solid campaign mode as it looks like Black Ops IIII is going to be the first outing that Activision will be going with here on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Nonetheless, it looks like speculation on the next title having a campaign mode again has started to pop up again. Read More...

The Quiet Man A minor update to The Quiet Man may provide a bit more to the core of the game and just what we may be experiencing in The Quiet Man If you caught the live stream that Square Enix had during E3 then you most likely caught the small teaser for the upcoming game called The Quiet Man. By small, I am mean that it showed very little in terms of actual gameplay and focused a bit more on the live action video that was there to tease it all. It was strange, but The Quiet Man caught the eyes of many even though it all looks to be a brawler, based on the video at least, and that the protagonist may be deaf and/or mute. Read More...

The Sinking City More gameplay for The Sinking City has been revealed out of E3 and it gives us a better look at the open world of The Sinking City and its weirdness If you felt that the last look we had at The Sinking City was a little on the light side of things, you were right and we feel you. It was short and sweet and did not truly give us all much more to look at for the game and what Frogwares has been putting into the game to give us that full Cthulhu feeling of things. I am not saying it has not been there before, but there has not been a solid look at it all for the public as of yet and I know many want more for The Sinking City. Read More...

ToeJam & Earl After twenty-six year, ToeJam & Earl will finally be back and coming this Fall with their fourth title, ToeJam & Earl: Back In The Groove It has been quite some time since ToeJam & Earl: Back In The Groove was funded and had work started on it. It has been delayed and moved around a bit, but HumaNature Studios has been still working on it and aiming to get it to us as soon as possible. It was pushed back when Adult Swim was poised to publish it, but now it looks like they are out and the team is going to be self-publishing this ToeJam & Earl title all on their own. This also means that we have a more secure release window of Fall of this year now. Read More...

The Sinking City A new trailer for The Sinking City is here to give us a bit of a look at the madness within as well as a release date for The Sinking City One of the titles I was sorry to miss out on at E3 this year had to be The Sinking City. It may look and be another Lovecraftian story or tale to add into the mix of the many coming out, but it looks like Frogwares is crafting something many of us can get behind and see is truly weird out there. That and it looks like The Sinking City will be missing the mark of all of the other titles in the same vein by launching on March 21st of next year on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Life Is Strange The release date for Life Is Strange 2’s first episode has been set and we will be playing more than a demo for Life Is Strange 2 soon While we all may be playing the demo for Captain Spirit right now, we may have also missed that Life Is Strange 2 is heavily linked to it in some way and now we know that it will not be a huge wait to see how that is. That is, DontNod has not only released the new title there but also set down a firm release date for the first episode of the core game to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We can now look to September 27th to get the first episode of Life Is Strange 2 to carry on the story and see how this world is getting further expanded out there. Read More...

Just Cause While at E3, I was able to see Just Cause 4 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Just Cause 4. One of the other many titles that could not be kept under wraps for E3 this year was Just Cause 4. Just before the main event kicked off, it was leaked out there that the game was coming but little of anything else. I am sure that Avalanche Studios was thankful for that as it allowed them to still cause a big splash during the show and get fans of the franchise all hyped up for the December 4th release date for the game on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It also made it easy for Square Enix to slide Just Cause 4 into all of its things out there as well as show a bit more to those of us who were able to go behind some closed doors out at E3.
