Here's What WonderCon Goers Got To See Of Spider-Man Edge Of Time
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of April 2011 - 10:56 PM ]
If you missed the announcement of Spider-Man: Edge Of Time and/or couldn't catch all the goodness shown and spoken of at WonderCon, then are you in for a treat. Those of you who heard the announcement are also in for a treat as we have the first trailer and screens below. It really does have that Shattered Dimensions feel to it doesn't it? I guess it would be easy to just reuse a bunch of the stuff Beenox has already made and just change the story. No reason to remake everything that already worked right? Read More...

Spider-Man Taking A Chrono Trigger Approach With 'Edge Of Time'
by Andy [ Thursday, 31st of March 2011 - 10:45 PM ]
Well isn't this a little bit of interesting. Looks like the team that brought us Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is no longer ok with keeping their game just hopping dimensions, now they want to go through time too with Spider-Man: Edge Of Time. Edge Of Time being the latest title just announced from Beenox, Marvel and Activision. At this time the story for the game is pretty much this: Spider-Man: Edge Of Time challenges the player to take on the roles of both classic Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099 to correct a time-stream gone awry and prevent a catastrophic future brought on by the early and untimely death of Peter Parker. So it's like they just wanted to toss out two of the other dimensions from the previous game and try time travel. Read More...

Finally We Get To Play As Umbrella In Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
by Andy [ Wednesday, 30th of March 2011 - 09:38 PM ]
So it would seem just like Resident Evil 4, Capcom is looking for another way to package its older titles for us all to purchase again. Only this time it is RE2 and RE3…but from the point of view of Umbrella. Now this could be a little interesting, minus the fact that you should be destined to lose from the start. Here is a teaser for the title that is slated for this winter. It's not all that much, but it does have a bit of game footage and it shows Leon being introduced again. Read More...

X-Men: Destiny Is Going To Be Filled With Teenage Angst
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of March 2011 - 10:13 PM ]
If there already wasn't enough of this or conflict in the X-Universe, it looks like new comer Aimi Yoshida will be bringing her own to X-Men: Destiny. Aimi being the most recent character brought out for the game's character roster. A small Asian female who was "abandoned" by her parents. Granted it was so she was not rounded up with all the other mutants in Japan, but what teenage girl would not hold onto those issues to give her a reason to be bitter and angry? Funny thing is I'd be bitterer about the thing that was forcing the label on me, the mutant power. Her power, from what has been given so far, is that she specializes in efficient mutant power usage. Review: Knights Contract
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of March 2011 - 09:26 PM ]
It is time to travel back to the early Burning Times. A time when religious superstition and fears drove many good and innocent people to the gallows or to a public burning at the stake. A time depicted and twisted for Game Republic and Namco Bandai's most recent endeavor, Knights Contract. In Knights Contract you play Heinrich Hofmann, an experienced witch-executioner plagued by a curse of immortality, who charged with the task of protecting a witch by the name of Gretchen as she attempts to save the world. The world is being threatened by a mad scientist, named Dr. Faust, who is trying to gain the same curse Heinrich has, as well as rid the world of witches all together. Read More...

The Softer Side Of [Prototype 2]...Kind Of
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of March 2011 - 10:00 PM ]
I don't know what it is about trailers like the one below for [Prototype 2], but I find them fun even though they don't really show off much. I think it is the violent content set to easy listening music that I find just awesomely funny. That's a word isn't it? Awesomely. It is for my purposes now if you don't think it is. Continuing on, here is yet another tease for the game that is still slated for a 2012 release. It pretty much shows Sergeant James Heller toss a Blackwatch guard across the city and we get to watch the slow motion flight. Read More...

Could We Be Seeing Modern Warfare 3 At GDC?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of February 2011 - 05:22 PM ]
So we are either going to get a look at the next billion dollar game from Activision or one of the best pranks run on fans of the Modern Warfare franchise. A new site, findmakarov.com, has begun to be passed around the net. It doesn't feature anything stating Modern Warfare 3 on it but it does have a countdown with the franchise know font face. Not to mention the site name does link back to the "villain" of Modern Warfare 2. In all actuality, this is most likely a nice little tease for what Activision is going to show off at GDC. With Karate You Can Kick Helicopter Ass In Prototype 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of February 2011 - 10:43 PM ]
Ok, so you could really do it in the first [Prototype] but in [Prototype 2] it looks to have been super charged in the new "teaser" that has made its way to the web. It may not be showing much but the game is still a least a year out from launch so what do you expect Radical Entertainment to give us? I mean we should all be surprised that there is a sequel coming out in the first place given the actions of Activision lately. I'm guessing that we should be ready to see even more of these over the next year just to cause some buzz for the game. Read More...

Isaac Isn't The Only One Fighting Through The Sprawl Of Dead Space 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of February 2011 - 09:29 PM ]
You know one thing I noticed when playing through Dead Space 2, and the other Dead Space titles for that matter? The lack of other real "hero" types on the ship or Sprawl. Yea Extraction and Ignition had other protagonists, but for the most part they turned out not as heroic as Isaac. I mean Ignition had 2 scenarios where Franco kills Sarah in cold blood. Then you have McNeill in Extraction that seems to have been turned into a Necromorph in the epilogue of the game.* Well, come this March 1st we will get to see another protagonist, from Extraction, try to fit into Isaac's Rig to add another two chapters to Dead Space 2. Knights Contract Slips Out Between Killzone 3 And Bulletstorm
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of February 2011 - 04:50 PM ]
With the huge hype for both Bulletstorm and Killzone 3 it is a little easy to see how this gem I've been watching fall through the crack of attention. The gem being Knights Contract for those who have not been following along over the last month. Also for those who refuse or don't read the titles of the articles we post here on AggroGamer. But that is splitting skulls hairs I guess. Well Knights Contract launched yesterday amongst the two giant FPS games none the less. Read More...

Transformers Milking The Dark Of The Moon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of February 2011 - 04:47 PM ]
I was hoping that we were all beyond this with the epic tea bagging Devastator gave us in the last Transformers film. But I guess Transformers: War For Cybertron did well enough for Activision to look into doing another Transformers game. With that let me present you Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. The next in the line of new Transformers games and a tie-in with the new film from look and sound of it. Why they have switched gears from the new games they have created to the tie-in I have no clue. Well outside of wanting to milk the consumer for more money because of the film. Read More...

Getting Your Fight On In Knights Contract
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of February 2011 - 09:23 PM ]
Maybe it is just me, but I am looking forward to Knights Contract. It doesn't seem to be picking up much attention from any one at all but every time I see something new I get even more interested in what is going on with this game. Maybe it is the rehashing of old IPs that is downing out Knights Contract. Have we all given into the nostalgia bull shit so much that we are not willing to give a second glance to an original IP? Well if you are not pining over the latest Marvel Vs. Read More...

New Inversion Screens Show How To Command Gravity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of February 2011 - 05:12 PM ]
So here is a title that has seemed to fall through the cracks of my press releases. The game is called Inversion and it is being developed by Saber Interactive and Namco. Maybe because it was suppose to come out sometime last year and then got pushed under a rug. Maybe it is because things have been silent since GamesCom 2010 and a 2011 delay announced. I don't know, but it is now slated to hit selves February 7th 2012 and from what is being shown right now, the game has snagged a bit of my attention. Here's the story for those not in the know like I was: You take on the role of a young father and husband, Davis Russel, who finds himself thrust into war when his peaceful city is invaded by an unknown enemy. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of January 2011 - 11:33 PM ]
Remember that viral video for Mortal Kombat: Rebirth that we brought you back in June of 2010? Sure you do. I am also sure that you have already heard the rumors and speculation that it was actually going to become a ten part web series with some of the cast coming back. If not, do some Google searches and I am sure you will find what I am talking about. That or just keep reading here as it has now been officially announced from Warner Premiere that the project is actually a go. With the response the "viral" video got it is really no surprise that something is moving forward with it. Read More...

Review: World Of Warcraft: Cataclysm
by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 30th of December 2010 - 06:51 PM ]
Blizzard's World of Warcraft is the current definitive MMO. With six years of collected content, twelve million players, and three expansions, it doesn't look like WoW is going anywhere soon. Blizzard had built an empire, but to strengthen the empire's walls, it would have to rebuild itself from the inside out. For the past six years, in order for a player to reach the cap level of 80, players had to grind through some of the most grueling quests we've seen since Everquest. Kill, collect, rinse, repeat, this was the old scenario until Wrath of the Lich King. Read More...
