Blizzcon is notorious for their closing ceremonies, and 2010 will be no different. With performances by The Offspring, Patton Oswalt and the prince of darkness himself Ozzy Osbourne, the closing ceremonies have talked about around the world. Not to mention Blizzard has their in house band "The Artists Formerly Known as Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain" who always put on an awesome show. A battle between the Demigod of Rock - a being of all things that are rock - and the horrid, mechanical Beast - a being of everything that apparently sucks in music. Up until now, Gene Simmons the Demigod of Rock has prevailed. That is, up until now when the Beast finally bested the Demigod and locked him away. Blizzard finally graces us with the official announcement for the release of World of Warcraft: Cataclsym. I'm pretty sure everyone has figured it out by now, but it's nice to see that now it's "Official" and no longer simply speculation. Deathwing is coming and he's bringing a boat load of destruction with him. With an increase of the level cap to 85, two new races and a complete restructure of the old world, this is revving up to probably be the best expansion yet. So if you haven't already reserved your pre-order, digital download or time off from work on December 8th, you have plenty of time to make your arrangements and hit the ground running when the expansion comes out. Hey true believers! It looks like our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is back into the action saving not only New York, but four different dimensions worth of New York and realities. All after a small fight with Mysterio where Spider Man shatters the "Tablet of Order and Chaos," a few of the villains in each dimension find a chunk and get super-charged. With the help of Madame Web, each Spider-Man needs to collect these tablet pieces to make sure all reality doesn't crumble. For the first time in a long time, I am speechless. A game was announced that made me stare at my laptop and honestly not even know what to say. According to a press release from Bastion and SEE Virtual Worlds, they have signed a deal with Micheal Jackson's Estate and will be releasing an MMO called Planet Michael in 2011 for the Entropia Universe. Reported from G4tv.com that was released by The Wall Street Journal, that Activison will be teaming up with Chrysler to possibly release the “Hero” themed Jeep that will be in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Generally in a survival horror game, the protagonist is left isolated and alone for the game with only getting a few "human" interactions along the way to help drive the progression of the game. Think back and see that I am right on this. Are you done? Good. That said, doesn't this seem the age of multiplayer for multiplayer's sake lately? So it should seem no real shock that another great survival horror - in this case Dead Space 2 - has taken on the need for multiplayer. I think Telltale Games took the DeLorean the wrong way through the time stream. Instead of going back and making a huge game based off the franchise back in the late 80's and early 90's, they went forward and decided to make a game 20 years after the last film hit theaters. That is, if it somehow came out before the end of the year. That just seems like the wrong way to do things. How they all look, from concept to in game, what all of their abilities are and a nice in game look of what it is like when they will transform to help the Demigod of Rock.
