Today Valve released downloadable content on both the PC and the Xbox 360.  Called the Survival Pack, the DLC provides new campaign maps for the Versus Mode and an entirely new gameplay option, Survival Mode.  Also included are various patches and fixes to improve the overall gameplay by covering up the glitches and bugs found in the game post-release.  In Versus Mode, teams of players take turns being the survivors trying to escape and the special infected bent on stopping them.  The addition of new campaigns has been widely sought by the community at large. Left 4 Dead has its first update available now, and the list of fixes, tweaks and upgrades is pretty vast. Currently this is only on the PC, and the Xbox 360 gamers can expect their update in a few weeks.  Here is the long list of fixes and changes included in this update:General- Fixed Survivors being able to climb surfaces marked for versus infected only.- Fixed a class of SurvivorBot bugs dealing with rescuing downed players.- Players can no longer grab ladders while flying through the air after a Tank punch. The PC demo for Valve's upcoming survivor horror game Left 4 Dead is now available for download without putting down a pre-order like in the 360 version. I haven't got a chance to try, or even download it yet. Hell I don't even know if my computer will run it.
