A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That was one exciting week we just had there and with all kinds of fun updates and announcements for some various video games out there. We saw Bloodlines 2 get pushed out until whenever now, but we had a look at Returnal and Evil Dead to help with that. That and so many release announcements and upgrades for video games like Final Fantasy VII Remake and Watch Dogs too. All of that and the review for Pumpkin Jack as it hit the PS4/PS5 this week. The release date for Oddworld: Soulstorm is set and we have a new look at how Oddworld has evolved with some new gameplay I love when we get back-to-back updates for games as we just did for Oddworld: Soulstorm. Last week we had a little bit of a tease as to how the game is going to look and this week, we get a full gameplay breakdown from Oddworld Inhabitants during the PlayStation State of Play stream. That and we have a release date for Oddworld: Soulstorm set as April 6th with the game being one of the PS+ titles for April on the PS5 specifically. All kinds of great news for those that can take advantage of it. Read More...

The PS5 version of the Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming and it is also bringing us another Final Fantasy VII fan favorite character With so many out there playing the Final Fantasy VII Remake a few times on the PS4, we have been waiting for the update that will bring us more of the game. Maybe the next whole part of the story and chapter from Square Enix. To that extent even the option to play the game on the PS5 natively to be able to take advantage of all of the tech and capabilities on the machine. Read More...

A Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition is on its way to us so the next-generation systems can run Mortal Shell as best as possible As was to be expected, we have a Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition on the way to bring the PS5 and Xbox Series X a new version of the game that will run natively on the consoles. This feels like it is going to be running news for the next year, but we definitely wanted to make sure everyone out there was aware of it. Also, because it looks as if Playstack is bringing it to us all on March 4th and not months from now. Read More...

A new survival-horror title, Dark Moonlight, is announced and it looks like Dark Moonlight will be taking us down some dark and phobic paths Get ready for more of your own phobia to come to life with the announcement of Dark Moonlight here. A new survival-horror title from Silent Bear Studio and Black Rose Projects that will take us into the messed-up mind of another protagonist out there. All while trying to get the mental health help the character needs and trying to figure out if the world of Dark Moonlight is a much more sinister place than expected. It may sound like a usual style of game in the genre, but the trailer here does offer up a few new twists to it that could draw more of us in. Read More...

New footage for Returnal is here to show off some of the new areas in Returnal that seem to be shifting in some interesting ways So far we have seen some interesting areas and lands we will be exploring in Returnal and now we have one more look at how this will all be going on April 30th. Things look to be very alien out there, which is the setting, but there does seem to be something bigger going on out there. Kind of the way that Housemarque has been going with it all so far. Another from Ash Vs Evil Dead will be showing up in Evil Dead: The Game through the way of Pablo the Brujo We are all still waiting to get more than just the reveal trailer to look at for Evil Dead: The Game but at least the latest update we have for the game shows that Saber Interactive is definitely giving fans what they want. That is more characters from the IP so far that have been fan favorites or great tie in characters. All with the actors that brought the characters to life in the first place lending their talents one more time. Read More...

We sit down and review Pumpkin Jack. A spooky action-platformer that feels a little familiar. Here is our review of Pumpkin Jack While Pumpkin Jack may have been released a few months ago on the various other platforms, it did not get to try to shine on the PS4 until now. Yes, this game is currently out on the consoles here and it looks as if Headup Games was trying to take the time to make sure it worked well here. That can be a bit of a benefit for those looking to have a game on their system of choice while others vet out any bugs that could be there. Now we have Pumpkin Jack on this new platform and we are diving in with a review of the game. Read More...

A new trailer for Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace is here to give us all a bit more on this unique story coming in the Arkham Horror line It is always hard to bring true madness into a video game and if there is a title that is coming that should be aiming to do a good job of it, it is Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace. Not in the true mental health aspect of madness but in the way of a psychotic break more than anything. Although, it would be interesting to see Asmodee Digital dive deeper into true mental illness here but in the Arkham Horror line this is not generally a true depiction. Read More...

A new indie horror game, Etched Memories, has a demo and proof of concept out with Etched Memories letting us play through the horrors of a lost cat Talk about throwing things at a board and seeing what sticks, as we have the announcement of a new horror title called Etched Memories that will have us playing through in first and third-person as a cat. Not in the joking way that usually hits the internet for a while but in the way of the upcoming title out of From Scratch Studios. A small team that looks like they are taking their love and passion and giving us all Etched Memories on the PC. Read More...

Development for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 has hit another wall losing the developer and Bloodlines 2 delayed indefinitely If you were still excited to see if Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 was going to launch this month after the last delay, it is time for us to break your spirits. The date for when Watch Dogs: Legion will have its online mode added is set as well as how this will alter Watch Dogs: Legion for us all On March 9th the wait will finally be over for those looking to take their copy of Watch Dogs: Legion online and play with some of their friends. It may have been delayed a bit since it was first announced, but it looks like Ubisoft is making good on those claims with the mode hitting all of the platforms the game is currently on the same day and for free still. Even if it does feel like some of the modes in this update will leave some fans of Watch Dogs: Legion feeling a little off or out there. It sounds like it will all be for a better balance and fun, so give it a moment before you begin to hate on it at all. Read More...

Gameplay for It Takes Two is here to give us more of what It Takes Two is all about as well as how the mechanics will shift during the game Back when It Takes Two was first revealed to the world I was a little lost as to what was going on in the game. At least outside of it using the same gameplay style as other titles that Hazelight has put out over the years with Co-Op being a huge portion of it all in the first place. Also the fact that only one person needs to buy It Takes Two for the Co-Op play to go down on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on March 26th. The usual things with the Friend's Pass that was an interesting thing to add into the mix. Read More...
