*The Last Guy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of August 2008 - 10:30 PM ]
*The Last Guy - In Review So North America finally got this game on their PSNs as of yesterday. To buy that is. Not a bad little $9.99 download for the console. But I'm sure most of you Sony fans have already heard enough about this game leading up to launch. Well I'm going on further and going to write a half assed review on it for ya. It's funny, but this game kind of reminds me of Infected for the PSP. Only not as blood filled. Read More…

EA wants to give you free gas
by Nikole [ Friday, 29th of August 2008 - 05:06 AM ]
Sure, we are finally seeing a small break in the ridiculous gas prices but that doesn't mean anyone in their right mind would turn down free gas. EA games hears your plea, they care, they really do. That's why they are putting on an event called "Petrol for the People". Petrol for the People is a a promotional event for the game Mercenaries 2. Starting at 6am tomorrow morning at the Mobil station on 8489 Beverly Blvd and until the tanks are empty you can get free gas. The attendants will even be dressed as Mercenaries. Read More…

RB2 Gets A Ratin'
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of August 2008 - 07:48 PM ]
Rock Band 2: Rated No not and ERSB rating, already knew that would be T, but they rated the difficulty for the songs that are coming out on the disc at launch date. They also were nice enough to break it down by the different categories as well as overall band. No listing of how difficult, like on the current Rock Band Store, but early images show that is how the songs will be sorted out and displayed from the get go in the game. But at least here, you can prep yourself for what is to come. I do like seeing Tenacious D down in the ranks of Megadeth and Judas Priest in the level of difficulty. Read More…

Left 4 Dead Delayed til November 20th
by Andy [ Monday, 25th of August 2008 - 07:15 PM ]
Much anticipated Valve game, Left 4 Dead, has been pushed back until November 20th. At least this is still in time for the holiday season, so you can eat your christmas cookies while blastig zombies away. At least I know I will be! "Left 4 Dead is going to be released on the tenth anniversary of Half-Life, our first game," said Newell. "That will be on November 20th, the third week in November." I can't say this is a huge let down at all, infact, I like that it is being pushed back a bit. Read More…

 Mirror's Edge: a PS3 timed exclusive?
by Nikole [ Sunday, 24th of August 2008 - 10:21 PM ]
During the Games Conference in Leipzig, Heise.de, a German tech site, quoted SCEE president: David Reeves while discussing th future of Mirror's Edge. In the quote he claims that Mirror's Edge will be a timed PS3 exclusive, similar to the way RockBand 2 is being released for the Xbox 360. This of course would go against all of EA's past trends of releasing everything at once on every possible console. "We are continuously, month after month publishing new titles that bring something unique and target different groups. In a month it’s Gran Turismo, in the next SingStar, and Third-Party Title’s such as EA’s Mirror’s Edge are all part of the strategy. Read More…

Rock Or Pwn?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of August 2008 - 07:38 PM ]
Xbox and Rock the Vote to Give Voters a New Platform for Change Man there are really trying to get more and more voters these days. I remember when Rock the Vote first started, you know trying to get young voters voting using rock stars and music. Well now they are targeting your game machines. Well at least the XBox users to get even more. Using a title that could be a bit of a rip off from this site? I jest. Read More…

TF2 updates coming to 360 later this year.
by Sam [ Friday, 22nd of August 2008 - 03:38 PM ]
If you're like me and own a copy of The Orange Box for 360, you're probably upset that the PC version gets all the good updates. But alas, Valve is finally bringing all the updates delivered via Steam to the Xbox Live Marketplace. New class-specific Achievements, new unlockable weapons for the Pyro, Medic and Heavy, new gameplay modes and new maps. Doug Lombardi, Valve marketing director, said that he wanted to build up a massive update for 360 users before delivering. But like a lot of good things there's always a price to pay. Read More…

How 'Rock Band 2' Lets You Access First Game's Songs So when RB2 comes out, it is no mystery that you will be able to transfer all of your RB1 songs onto the new game. Well they just started to talk about how this will be done. The only thing that will suck is that it will cost you a small amount of money to do so. How much, well read on. When the game launches, a new patch for RB1 will be released out adding an "Export" option to the menu. Read More…

WoW, Another Eye Popping Opening Video
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 21st of August 2008 - 07:43 PM ]
Wrath of the Lich King Opening Sequence So for you people who are WoW-aholics, here is yet one more little thing to wet your whistle for the new expansion release. The opening cinematic for the expansion. Let me say, like all the others, it is beautiful. It has me more than pumped for this new expansion. The only thing I have to fault it on is that there still is no gnomes in their cinematics. Except if you look close in the undead army scene. Read More…
