So now that Konami has been attached to the game as well as some of the screen shots and video popping up, looks like the steam roller for this game has been started. Which is good since it is slated for this October, most likely around when the 6th film is coming out. But little has been brought up on what you are suppose to do in the game. I was thinking little mini-games/puzzles like in Blown Away. But according to this interview performed by Game Trailers, we get a little more.
It is explained that the game will be broken into thirds when it comes to the main focuses on the game. Exploration, like in many survival horror games, Puzzles, as expect for this kind of game, and Combat, which is of course another big thing we gamers like about games. Although there is no supernatural elements to the game at all, since the franchise isn't either, you might be thinking "Combat huh? Against what?" Well there are others trapped with you who want stuff you have or have to kill you for their own personal Jigsaw game. Which of course makes sense.
One thing I was hoping he would have brought up was an online play mode for this game. Think about how awesome that would be and make sense. You log on and get a message that [insert gamer tag here] has something you need to survive. Could be a key. Could be help. Could be anything depending on how the "match" could be set up. Place gamers into the Jigsaw games to solve as they might in a real world set up. At least it works in my head.
Oh, also in the video there is clips of some of the game play. Listen for the flub made in the clip as well. Apparently a flashlight can get blown out by you running. I think he meant candle, as that is what the character is holding. Or it's some new aged flashlight.
