Join The Dark Side
by Corey Dockendorf [ Saturday, 29th of August 2009 - 09:25 PM ]
Well here it is folks, one of the two classes we have all been waiting for, The Sith Warrior. This class looks amazing. Being able to wear large, heavy, technological army is a Darth Vader fan's dream come true. This looks like it's going to be a tank type class for SWTOR. But with such fast and furious sword play, who knows? The force powers look like tons of fun. I highly recommend checking out the videos This announcement is released after a week of speculation that this would be the next class in the roster of characters posted to the Holonet. Read More…

Wolfenstein Review
by Ben Brody [ Saturday, 29th of August 2009 - 11:42 AM ]
Perhaps it's a little to old for some of you younger gamers out there, but Wolfenstein has always had a place in my heart. Wolfenstein 3D revolutionized the FPS genre, and while Wolfenstein doesn't have as much of an impact on the video game industry as Wolfenstein 3D did, it is certainly a fun filled game. The game is a sequel to Return to Castle Wolfenstein, which was released for the PS2, PC, and XBOX in 2001, and stars William “BJ” Blackowitz, who was the protagonist in the previous Wolfenstein games. While Wolfenstein departs from many of the nostalgic elements that RTCW had, it keeps the main tradition of Wolfenstein alive: Supernatural Nazis are trying to take over the world. Read More…

Calling In FFXIII Shots
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of August 2009 - 10:12 PM ]
And look, they were called in. Well at least seven of them. Seven glorious new looks at this highly anticipated game that seems to be forever off on the horizon; teasing all of us in North America or pretty much anywhere that isn't Japan since they do get it this Winter. Those damn Japanese*. These screens show off a little bit of the CGI that Square-Enix is well known for, as well as some of the in-game stuff and combat system. The aesthetics are something that has yet to let me down in any way for this game. I just really hope that the storytelling aspect of the game isn't being hurt at all because they are spending months trying to get the shine and opacity looking perfect in the ice levels. Blizzcon 2009 Day 2
by Binh Nguyen [ Friday, 28th of August 2009 - 07:34 PM ]
Day 1 came and gone in a flash... of light. From the opening ceremony to shopping around to visiting many of the booths to the Costume, Dance & Sound A-Like Contest at the end of the day, I was wearing out really fast. For Day 2, I knew I had to plan out what I needed to do and the time to do it in. As I rolled into the convention center, again I saw the nerds, geeks and dorks in line waiting for hours to be one of the first to get into the convention center. As I waited in line, I talked to those around me. Read More…

Kurt Cobain To Posthumously Play Guitar Hero 5
by Brian Bentley [ Friday, 28th of August 2009 - 04:33 PM ]
Grunge and flannel: they go together like consoles&fanboys. Defining an entire decade of rock, grunge started the trend to move away from synth-pop, popular in the 80's, to a harder sound that emphasized the angst building in rebellion to 80's preppy style and trickle down economics. The earthier sounds and personalities of the grunge scene felt like you were watching a garage band down the street rather than the huge arenas and corporate heroes of pristine pop music and shiny glam-rock. Nirvana's release of Nevermind and the subsequent momentum shocked and appalled people as much as it enticed and enthralled. Their music was inspiring to a new generation of music listeners on a completely new medium, the Compact Disc. Read More…

Brütal Metal Achievements
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of August 2009 - 09:00 PM ]
I Got A Car And A Date. Some Chicks N' Booze N' Stuff. Then I Ran To The Hills. All for some Hair Remover, and Now You Must Tell The Tale. All to rock out and be Six Degrees Of Schafer. Now I am a Rock God! Oh snap! Ok, no you don't, but I thought it a fun way to work some of these fun and metal achievement/trophy names into this. This being the official list of the Achievement and Trophies you will be able to collect this coming October Rocktober in Brütal Legend. For a game that was originally designed to be a multiplayer RTS, you would have expected to find more of the multiplayer stuff as trophies too. Read More…

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - Ultimate Character Reveal (Spider-Man)
by Jesse [ Thursday, 27th of August 2009 - 11:22 AM ]
Spider-Man is easily one of the most iconic superheroes ever created. Since being bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker’s life has become a roller coaster ride of mammoth proportions. Living with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, Peter grew up trying to live by Ben’s example of great power and great responsibility. Peter was still a high school student when he first dawned a costume and has gone on to battle against such deadly enemies as Venom, Doctor Octopus, Kraven, and on and on. His most bitter enemy though, the Green Goblin, is a villain who will forever be known to Peter as he was the man responsible for killing Peter’s love Gwen Stacy. Read More…

Everything I Needed to Know in Life I Learned from my Atari 2600
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 27th of August 2009 - 03:58 AM ]
There have been countless books about self-help and what you learned in Kindergarten is all you needed to know and some Dr. Phil mumbo jumbo. I’ll tell you where I learned all I needed to know: Atari 2600. I put a ridiculous amount of time and energy into untold numbers of games and they taught me some valuable life lessons. Failure is not the end, but an opportunity. One of the first things you learned when you began playing the Atari 2600: the reset button is your friend. Read More…

It\'s About Time To Get Wet
by Kevin [ Wednesday, 26th of August 2009 - 10:36 PM ]
One of the more curious titles of the year has presented a demo for PS3 owners and Xbox owners. For the uninitiated, Wet is an action game that combines shooting and swordplay with all kinds of crazy acrobatics. The main character, Rubi voiced by Elisha Dushku, carries twin pistols and a sword and does all of the fun filled John Woo-esque moves that have become standard fare in most action titles these days. One of the better elements of the gunplay is that she automatically target an additional enemy which allows some ease and versatility with your firefight strategy. She also has the ability to fuse attacks together, and your acrobatics aren't limited to flipping off of a wall, but you can substitute a person instead of the aformentioned wall. Read More…

Hey Look At Me! I'm Climbing A Bridge!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of August 2009 - 08:23 PM ]
The Saboteur Screen Shots So The Saboteur tried to sneak by with a quiet showing of the game. Either because they were drowned out by al the Blizzcon news and other GamesCom news that was all a flutter. But you know what? We at AggroGamer here caught these sneaks trying to get past everyone's view. We caught the game in action here and we caught it red handed. Climbing, driving and sneaking on the peripherals of everyone's views. Read More…

Manhunting For Rumors
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of August 2009 - 03:48 PM ]
Manhunt 2 PC Rated AO Who wants to play Manhunt 2 the way it was originally designed to be played? You know the version that originally netted the game and AO (Adults Only) rating way back in October of 2007. The version that was deemed so violent, raunchy, and filthy that it was banned in a few countries and had to undergo massive censorships to be made into a M (Mature) rated game. I know I do. Maybe it would be the game everyone was hoping for. Read More…

PS3 Slim Review
by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 26th of August 2009 - 11:07 AM ]
So the 120gb PS3 Slim is out, how does it compare to the older, fatter, more mature PS3? Well the first thing I noticed was, “Damn, that box is a lot smaller than my old PS3's box”. The next thing I noticed was, “Damn, this is a lot lighter than my old PS3.” The lighter, smaller PS3 is a little wider than the old PS3, but it's slightly wider girth is greatly overshadowed by the smaller height, the lower profile, and the overall sleek, matte black, design. The PS3 sports a new 45nm processor, which, technical differences which I will not get into aside, requires less power. The power cord itself is just a standard unpolarized C8 cord (non-technical term: the same one the PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, SNES, NES, 3DO, etc all use), as opposed to the beefier C13 (aka IEC, nontechnical term: the one that your PC, monitor, and TV use) that the older PS3 uses. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - Ultimate Character Reveal (Ms. Marvel)
by Jesse [ Tuesday, 25th of August 2009 - 11:27 PM ]
Growing up as the only daughter of a large family, Carol Danvers was always a bright and capable young lady who was also fiercely independent. While her father would have had her find a husband and settle down, Carol defied him by joining the United States Air Force after she graduated from high school. She grew to become an extremely skilled fighter pilot which caught the eye of the CIA. She was recruited and trained as a field agent. Read More…
