Dead Space 2 Cover Art Revealed
by Brian Goodman [ Saturday, 5th of June 2010 - 09:40 PM ]
I guess there isn't much else to say besides what is in the title. Here is a link to the tweet just released from the official Dead Space Twitter account. You can also see the art at the bottom of this post. About a year and a half ago ago I bought the first Dead Space used in the bargain bin, looking to kill some time. I wasn't expecting to, but I personally really enjoyed the first Dead Space. It wasn't very scary, nor did it have a very original plot, but it functioned very well with above average mechanics and fantastic graphics. Read More…

Get A Glimpse Of 2027 From Deus Ex
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of June 2010 - 11:02 PM ]
Want a glimpse into the future? Or at least a thought of how the future might be in the next 17 years? Then do we have something awesome for you. A look at how the world might look in 2027 from Eidos Montreal and Square Enix in the form of the new trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. You know the title that has been getting the "secret" type treatment to build up to this. Now just like other concepts of the near future this is one that I can see working and hopefully not to far off. I mean, Demolision Man was way off and 1984 came and went. Read More…

by Brian Bentley [ Friday, 4th of June 2010 - 09:10 PM ]
Today Turbine and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment announced that in the fall their popular MMO, Lord of the Rings Online, will be introducing a free-to-play model. Turbine will be implementing a three-tier system (VIP, Premium and Free) that will put limitations on the non-subscribing members. Free members will still be able to access all four races, most of the player classes and all three starting zones. Other limitations do apply, such as number of characters per server, inventory bags and a money cap. Read More…

Spider-Man Shatters Into the Judge Dread Dimension
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of June 2010 - 06:35 PM ]
Ok, not really but it sure does look like a toned down version of Judge Dread in these new screen shots from Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions doesn't it? Of course it does. It also looks like a Spawn look has overtaken Spider-Man from these new screens as well, which looks extremely bad ass in my oh so non-humble opinion. But one question still runs in my head - what dimension is this one? Is it the same Roid-Rage one that the Goblin is seen in? Read More…

Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock Unveiled
by Brian Goodman [ Friday, 4th of June 2010 - 04:41 PM ]
For all of you who think you don't have enough undersized plastic guitars littering your dorm rooms, publisher Activision and developer Neversoft (previously of Tony Hawk fame) have announced the 6th major installment of its flagship Guitar Hero franchise. What's new this time around you may ask? That's an interesting question with a long winded answer (is there any other kind from me?). Guitar Hero: Warrior of Rock will tout a full featured story mode narrated by and starring Gene Simmons of Kiss and Family Guy fame. Read More…

Dance On The Mass Grave Of Helghast
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of June 2010 - 02:47 PM ]
That is how you would pluralize that word right? Like sheep. Or is it Helghasts...Helghastes...Helghans? No matter how you would do that, I won't let it detract from the new "teaser" trailer for Killzone 3. Something you can see below or over at the official Killzone 3 website. If you want to go through all the normal BS to see this trailer and such. At first this may not look like much of a tease since it is all a pre-rendered fight scene. But what it would seem is the tease is the last little bit of the teaser; Where it looks like you might be infiltrating the Helghast from the inside. Read More…

Review: Alpha Protocol
by Kevin [ Thursday, 3rd of June 2010 - 10:56 PM ]
There were few games I was looking forward to this year more than Alpha Protocol. With every new video and image released I thought the customization, character interaction and apparent polish on the title would really push it to the top of my "gotta play" list. I felt like Obsidian Entertainment wouldn't disappoint, with their history of working on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II and Neverwinter Nights 2. This was their time to make an original IP, and though the game was wrought with delays and false starts, here we are. So, while we're here – what exactly do we have? Read More…

Naughty Bear To Force You To Come Out The Closet
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of June 2010 - 09:09 PM ]
For the love of the Gods, really another plagiarized page from "How To Be More Like Hades™". Seriously, that is it. Once, ok. Twice, shameful. But now quince. Naughty Bear has stolen too many ideas from my guide now. Time to whip that lawyer into gear to get this legal action taken care of. Confused on what I am talking about? Well below is another except from Naughty Bear's "Book Of Naughty." His rule number 207 titled "Hide'n'Seek" shares quite a resemblance to my rule number 487. Read More…

Review: UFC Undisputed 2010
by Binh Nguyen [ Thursday, 3rd of June 2010 - 05:02 PM ]
UFC surprised us with a lovely right hook with last year's title UFC Undisputed 2009. A year later THQ gives us the slogan “So you wanna be a Fighter” with this year's release of UFC Undisputed 2010. Yeah the name hasn't changed much, but the game certainly has. If you do not know what UFC is by now then you seriously have been living under a rock - especially with names like Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell, Royce Gracie, Randy Couture, George St. Pierre (GSP for short), Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock. Names made famous cause of UFC. Read More…

So you most likely know that you will be able to see the Microsoft Presentation and the Sony Presentation online via one of the many streaming sources. But what about the third in the triangle of video game powerhouses? Will they leave you ass out? Of course not. Just like last year, those who are not able to make it to the physical location in LA, for lack of being in the industry or travel funds, they are giving you the hook up. When the time is right, you can head on over to e3.nintendo. Read More…
