We were teased last week with the release month for The Evil Within's first DLC pack from Tango Gameworks and Bethesda. Why we had a tease just over a week before the official announcement date and full trailer is beyond me. None the less it looks like that DLC for The Evil Within, titled The Assignment, is coming to the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Steam on March 10th. Not much of a shocker there but that is the official date for all of those Season Pass owners or pick and choose DLC downloaders. The more you know.
Also to go along with that DLC for the The Evil Within release date is an official trailer for The Assignment. You can view it just below as is usual. If you like what you see then you can get The Assignment for The Evil Within for $9.99/£6.99/€9.99. Oh and if there are any EU fans of The Evil Within note that you can get the DLC on March 11th instead.
The Evil Within — The Assignment
After seeing the trailer I feel a little spoiled for The Evil Within proper. I'm talking more along the lines of story as I am still only about 60% through the main campaign. I guess that is my fault for looking at the future DLC trailers that are all story based instead of just add-ons for the game. So it really falls into the good and the bad buckets here for The Evil Within. At least for me. I am still glad and excited to see more of the story after I finally get through the core of the game. It looks like it should be fully worth the $10 addition to the price of the game.
I guess I really just need to sit and hammer out the rest of The Evil Within so I can fully enjoy the DLC. I've loved what I have played so far in the core game I just need the time. It looks like I have only about two weeks to get caught up. Stop releasing more games "Industry"… That would fix the issue wouldn't it? I think so.
