Transformers Milking The Dark Of The Moon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of February 2011 - 04:47 PM ]
I was hoping that we were all beyond this with the epic tea bagging Devastator gave us in the last Transformers film. But I guess Transformers: War For Cybertron did well enough for Activision to look into doing another Transformers game. With that let me present you Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. The next in the line of new Transformers games and a tie-in with the new film from look and sound of it. Why they have switched gears from the new games they have created to the tie-in I have no clue. Well outside of wanting to milk the consumer for more money because of the film. Read More…

A Couple That Portals Together Stays Together
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of February 2011 - 11:59 PM ]
What better way to celebrate VD* than to have a fun little advertisement for Portal 2? I learned quite a few things from this little clip for Valentine's Day as well. Like that 54% of women are allergic to chocolate, flowers are filled with bees and that four out of five people are crushed to death by giant diamonds every day. That is insane and I never knew. All kidding aside, once again Valve shows their great sense of humor whilst celebrating a holiday that is just another excuse to have a holiday. Read More…

Getting Your Fight On In Knights Contract
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of February 2011 - 09:23 PM ]
Maybe it is just me, but I am looking forward to Knights Contract. It doesn't seem to be picking up much attention from any one at all but every time I see something new I get even more interested in what is going on with this game. Maybe it is the rehashing of old IPs that is downing out Knights Contract. Have we all given into the nostalgia bull shit so much that we are not willing to give a second glance to an original IP? Well if you are not pining over the latest Marvel Vs. Read More…

New Inversion Screens Show How To Command Gravity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of February 2011 - 05:12 PM ]
So here is a title that has seemed to fall through the cracks of my press releases. The game is called Inversion and it is being developed by Saber Interactive and Namco. Maybe because it was suppose to come out sometime last year and then got pushed under a rug. Maybe it is because things have been silent since GamesCom 2010 and a 2011 delay announced. I don't know, but it is now slated to hit selves February 7th 2012 and from what is being shown right now, the game has snagged a bit of my attention. Here's the story for those not in the know like I was: You take on the role of a young father and husband, Davis Russel, who finds himself thrust into war when his peaceful city is invaded by an unknown enemy. Get Read To Embrace The Darkness Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of February 2011 - 04:56 PM ]
Hey I remember when The Darkness came out. I also remember I was not able to play it due to my lack of fundage but I did get to take the demo for a whirl. Obviously not enough to make any decent or well informed judgment on the game. Nor any good point of reference for the announcement of the sequel that has just been announced quite simply named The Darkness II. So for those like me or have kind of lost memory of the game from about four years ago, let me throw out the nice recap 2K Games has written up for us. It's been two years since Jackie Estacado, now the Don of the Franchetti crime family, used The Darkness to kill the men responsible for his girlfriend's murder. Read More…

Hop The Rail In Brink And Meet A Shotgun End
by Andy [ Wednesday, 9th of February 2011 - 11:06 PM ]
It's been a little bit since we've had some cool Brink stuff up here. So I submit for your approval, not that I really care for it, some new screen shots from Bethesda's upcoming game. This is the one that you may remember having the cool Parkour running and gunning. Also the one that actually played extremely well at E3 2010 but for some reason got pushed back, from my memory, almost eight months. Anyhoo. We are not being left totally in the dark with some new screens of the game. Read More…

New Dungeon Siege III Screenshots & Game Play Video
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 9th of February 2011 - 09:03 PM ]
Well look what just popped up in my inbox, new Dungeon Siege III screens and some good looking game play video. It was only last week that Square Enix announced an official release date. Let the countdown begin. The coming battle for the Kingdom of Ehb draws near! For those of you that need a little refresher Dungeon Siege III is the continuation of the Dungeon Siege franchise from Gas Powered Games, except this time it's being brought to you by Square Enix and Obsidian Entertainment, two well known names in the RPG gaming world. Players will become one of the remaining members of the 10th legion and try to rebuild your army to save the Kingdom of Ehb from tearing itself apart. This will be the first time Dungeon Siege will be playable on consoles and it doesn't look like it will disappoint. Read More…

Silver Surfer In Marvel Vs. Capcom 3?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of February 2011 - 06:33 PM ]
Ok, well not really the Silver Surfer himself in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 but what looks an awful lot like Galactus has turned the "Villains" of the game into "Heralds" of some sort. I mean if you watch the trailer and look at the screen shots below you get to see "Silver" Wesker, Dr Doom, Dormammu and Akuma do everything the planet eater asks of them. In this case it looks like they are asked to be the first wave of attack against which ever hero team you have brought to stop Galactus from eating the Earth. Oh, and I guess this also kills the "rumor" that Galactus is going to be in the game as well, but that is just a small bullet point here. Read More…

Shadow Boxing In Marvel Vs Capcom 3?
by Andy [ Tuesday, 8th of February 2011 - 11:52 PM ]
Ok, so here is a nice little twist to things on the MvC3 front. It looks like there is a bit more DLC already planned after launch of the game. This DLC won't be new characters, but it will bring new challengers to the table. New challengers in the form of a Shadow Mode for the game. What is Shadow Mode? It is a way that Capcom can allow users at home to download AI opponents programmed after the techniques and preferences of Capcom's development staff and famous players from the fighting game scene. So you can technically practice without leaving your gaming chair nor have to invite these people over or wait for their time to be free enough to play online against you. Read More…

Rift Open Beta Starts February 15th
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 8th of February 2011 - 09:45 PM ]
This past weekend gave us the 6th beta test for Rift, the latest MMO title by Trion games. Probably one of the more successful stress tests I've seen so far. Now not even 24 hours after the beta closed we get news that an open beta will be available starting next week! Not only that, there is loot to be had for those brave enough to delve deep into the dungeons! Players who can defeat ANY dungeon boss could be entered to win a brand new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 video card. Ten other lucky entrants will win an In-Game Prize packs for just killing dungeon bosses. Read More…

New Deus Ex Visuals That Make You Go Hmm...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of February 2011 - 06:45 PM ]
The more I see of Deus Ex: Human Revolution the more I really can't wait to get my hands on it. I mean it looks very impressive from everything we've seen including the new visuals below. But what is really snagging my attention is the overall theme of the game, "Should We Play God?" This being a concept I love to play with every day of existence only in this case it is with human genes, genetics and physiology. All the meaty parts of the human form. There are so many things that could be fixed or upgraded to the human condition. Read More…

Blizzcon 2011 Announced...Early?
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 8th of February 2011 - 04:45 PM ]
Well this was unexpected and really early this year. Blizzard announced Blizzcon 2011 with the least amount of details, just a date, time and place. Honestly this is the earliest Blizzard has ever announced this event, hell were still getting over the last one that was less than four months ago. Here's what we know. It will be from October 21st to October 22nd at the Anaheim convention center in California. It will have all the titles from Warcraft, Starcraft to Diablo. Read More…

Here Comes The DLC For Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of February 2011 - 10:39 PM ]
It has been announced that Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath were coming to Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 as DLC for a short while now, but how are they going to look? Well I am sure your eyes have already drifted south for a second to see that we have a slew of new screen shots showcasing what you can expect the two new characters to look like and a bit of fight like. I for one am glad that they decided to go with the new Jill over the older Jill from MvC2. It kind of makes me feel like I can play as Samus as well as Jill in the game. Read More…
