Review — SOMA
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of October 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
SOMA We Sit Down And Review SOMA. Is It Worth Your Time? Is it the horror title that will bring the genre back to fun? Here's Our Review Of Soma As we move into the month of horror there has been one title I have been excited to dive into and it is SOMA. It looks like the best melding of Dead Space and BioShock by Frictional Games with a bit of higher thinking and philosophy mixed in. I won't delve into that too much as it is one of the pivotal aspects of SOMA and I'll keep this as spoiler free as possible but it did capture my eye. Now that September 22nd has come and past I have been able to play SOMA on the PS4 and it is time for my formal review of the game and if it will do what the videos and promos have claimed thus far. This Week In Video Games 9/21/15 — 9/25/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of September 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games It's always a great week in video games when you get to use a phrase like "butt theatrics" because it is used in a video game. It is also a good week here when you get to see a whole butt-load of Fallout 4 and Rise Of The Tomb Raider news hit the web. To go one step further it is another great week in video games when we were able to get out our review for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and sing all of the praises that we had for the game as it ate away at our time here. Other video games had to suffer for that one but it was completely worth it. Read More...

Review — Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of September 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
The Phantom Pain We Sit Down And Review Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Is It Worth Your Time? Is it the conclusion to Kojima's version of the franchise we wanted? Here's Our Review Of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain We have finally made it to the conclusion of an era as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain marks the final part of the franchise being helmed by Hideo Kojima. It has been a long road and a rough one for those over at Kojima Productions but The Phantom Pain is here and we get to see if they put Konami's money to great use here. Ground Zeroes was a great, and small, taste of what The Phantom Pain could be and now it is time to see if all the teasing, hardships, and waiting have paid off. Read More...

We Sit Down And Review King's Quest: A Knight To Remember. This Is The First Episode Of The Odd Gentlemen's reboot to the Famed Franchise From Sierra Entertainment. Here's Our Review On How They've Done So Far It's been some time since we last had a good King's Quest and the wait is finally over as we have the next installment to the franchise. This time the developer role has moved over to The Odd Gentlemen and the game is no longer a point-and-click adventure but Sierra Entertainment has kept their eyes closely upon it to try and keep it in the same vein as fans would want and expect. As the first episode for King's Quest, A Knight To Remember, has been released the time is now and the time is here for a review of the first episode to the franchise's reboot; of sorts. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of July 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Game Of Thrones: A Nest of Vipers. This Is The Fifth Episode Of Telltale's Take On HBO's Famed TV Franchise. Here's Our Review On How They've Done So Far We are quickly coming to the end of Game Of Thrones from Telltale Games and it has been one hell of a ride. Only one more episode to go now as A Nest of Vipers, the fifth of the six episodes, hit the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC starting on July 21st. I am still hoping to see a few of these have HBO show tie ins but as of now it is all in the game. The last episode left me wanting and now we get to see if Game Of Thrones is going to fill that void or leave me wanting more. Read More...

Review — Tales From The Borderlands: Catch A Ride
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Tales From The Borderlands — Catch A Ride. This is the third episode of Telltale's take on Gearbox's famed franchise. Here's our review on how they did It is a long cycle for new episodes of Tales From The Borderlands to be released but we've had the third episode of the series released and I've finally had the time to sit down and give the extra story bit a play through. I mean the second episode of Tales From The Borderlands landed in March and this one landed near the end of June. At least there wasn't a delay between all of the platforms here and everyone who has a PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, or Gaming PC were able to play through the next bit. Read More...

Review — Hatred
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of June 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Hatred. Is It Worth Your Time or was it all PR hype to grab your attention with the hyper-violence? Here's Our Review of Hatred If there has been one title recently that has made a huge splash in a short amount of time it was Hatred. This is the twin-stick shooter title from Destructive Creations that was denied on Steam and then allowed back after much outcry. Mainly all of the negative press being aimed toward the ultra-violence that is portrayed in this AO title only on PC that has garnered its claim to fame but we had a chance to give it a good solid play through and we have our own thoughts on Hatred. Without gilding the lily any longer or pissing off the game's protagonist much more, here is our review for Hatred. Read More...

Review — Fallout Shelter
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Monday, 29th of June 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
We sit back And Review Fallout Shelter. This of course being the nice little distraction on mobile devices until Fallout 4 releases. Let's see if it is worth our time or not This won't be an overly long review since Fallout Shelter is only of a mobile game but they are a lot of good things I like about this game so I am going to start with the few small gripes I have with Fallout Shelter. To start things off Fallout Shelter is a little buggy and crashes randomly on my girlfriend's iPad that is only a few years old. I am sure this is an easy fix and Bethesda Game Studios will get it fixed in short order when a new update is rolled out. Read More...

A Not So Full Review — Batman: Arkham Knight [PC]
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Monday, 29th of June 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
We Tried To Sit Down And Review Batman: Arkham Knight but sadly the PC version has made that impossibility. Here's what I have to say on the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight I received my copy of Batman: Arkham Knight when I bought my new GTX 960 SCC 4GB edition. I had never played the previous three Arkham games or any spin-offs and was quite looking forward to diving in to such a praised franchise from Rocksteady Games to review it without having the others to compare it to. Though after spending a day downloading the game… it crashed on startup. I'm not the only one who has been burned by the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of May 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games This week seemed to fly right by but that doesn't mean there wasn't a whole lot to cover in the world of video games by any means. We had a bunch of release date announcements for SOMA, Until Dawn and Wander. We had some new games announced in the way of Perception and What Remains Of Edith Finch. Then a whole mess of new video and information for Batman: Arkham Knight. Like I said, short week but way too much going on in the world of video games. Read More...

Review — Game Of Thrones: Sons Of Winter
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of May 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Game Of Thrones: Sons Of Winter. This Is The Fourth Episode Of Telltale's Take On HBO's Famed TV Franchise. Here's Our Review On How They've Done So Far We are back into the world of Westeros with Game Of Thrones: Sons Of Winter even though it may have taken quite a bit of time since the last episode came out for the game. I truly do wish that Telltale would alter their release schedule so we don't have to wait so long between like we did for Sons Of Winter but I don't see that happening soon nor should we discuss it as we are here for the latest review for Game Of Thrones. Did it add to the overall experience or was it another let down to make us question why we are doling out cash for this? Read More...

We Sit Down And Review Game Of Thrones: The Sword In The Darkness. This is the third episode of Telltale's take on HBO's famed TV franchise. Here's our review on how they've done so far Fresh off the last episode of Telltale's Game Of Thrones we have the third episode The Sword In The Darkness. There was a rather quick turnaround on this episode which is good but did the episode suffer at all from the speed or does it help keep us all engaged as the TV version of the franchise is coming back soon? Well we sat down and played through the latest episode of Game Of Thrones so you can gauge if this needs to bump to the top of the play list or you can leave it be for a little longer. Without more gilding the lily let us get into our review for Game Of Thrones: The Sword In The Darkness. Read More...
